Classic Adirondack Chalet on Moose River -Summer weekly rentals only Sat. to Sat

Located in the town of Old Forge, one block from Rt.28. We have a private dock for the property on the Middle Branch of the Moose River. Bring your own kayaks or canoe and tie them to our dock and paddle whenever you want. You can also rent them locally.

Our kitchen is fully equipped-even with most small appliances (coffee maker, toaster oven, crock pot, etc.) as well as a gas stove and oven, Full size refridgerator and freezer, dishwasher and a microwave oven. There is plenty of cupboard space stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils and all other kitchen essentials.

Tenants must bring their own sheets and towels. all pillows, blankets and bedspreads are provided.

Beautiful sunny dining area seats six.

Large living room with wood stove and 42' flat screen Hi-deph cable TV.

Sliders to large deck with gas grill and picnic table.

Deck overlooks yard and river. Flat grassy area perfect for croquet, badminton or bocce ball. Fire pit with chairs

Full bath with bathtub and shower

Master bedroom is on main level with queen size bed, good closet space.

Upper level has two bedrooms, one with full size bed and cable TV., other has twin beds.

Basement has washer and dryer.

Modern and clean. No pets and no smoking please.

Wireless internet on site

3 night minimum for Holiday weekends Spring and Fall

Such a cute and cozy place. We have stayed at Sci Sci one other time and were excited to go back and celebrate our son’s birthday in Old Forge. Convenient location to town. We loved looking at Claire’s new paintings and how adorable it was decorated for the holiday season.

Claire was an amazing and kind host. The cabinwas lovely, decorated in Adirondack decor. Cozy and quiet with a beautiful view, yet so walkable to town. We loved it!!!

Wonderful Week in Old Forge

My family and I loved our stay at the Chalet! The location was a perfect mix of seclusion on the Moose River and convenience of being walking distance to all of the hot spots in Old Forge! The Chalet is a well built and maintained camp. I loved the outdoor areas where we enjoyed nature and the beautiful Moose River. I would definitely do it again.

Great experience at Old Forge cabin

The property was better than expected. Well stocked with supplies. Great view of the river. We even had a family of deer visit us daily. I would highly recommend renting this property .

Cute cottage

Cute cottage, but you are required to bring linens (which I don’t believe is clearly stated in the listing) and there is no process in place for trash— unless you happen to be departing Friday morning, the host requires that you bring your trash with you or drop it at the transfer station. However, the host doesn’t even leave tags for the transfer station: you need to go to the town hall (closed on weekends). That process needs improvement.

New Year Get Away

The cabin was very cozy, and perfectly decorated for the Christmas season. The owner of the cabin, Claire Sci and her husband were very accommodating. I highly recommend this cabin.

Great Weekend in the ADK

We had a great stay. Chalet is well furnished, comfortable and well kept. Good communication with the owners prior to arrival. We spend a lot of time in the Old Forge area and would stay here again.

Chalet in a Perfect Location

This chalet is a fantastic rustic yet very comfortable place to stay just off the main strip in Old Forge. The interior is a great layout a flat screen TV, fireplace, dinnette with all the required amenities to eat in, relax & watch a movie, or play family board games. Fire pit was great for doing S'mores and both decks are perfect to enjoy your coffee in the morning. The location is on quiet backstreets for walking with kids. Various local shops /eateries, Kinney Drugs and FastTrac are all walk-able. Owners communicated well throughout the process; we have already recommended to others and would request again.

Cozy cabin on Moose River

Great property on the Moose River with walking distance to Old Forge shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the views, and fire pit overlooking the property. Deer casually roaming around the neighborhood. Great space for a girls trip. The cabin has everything we needed for our getaway. Highly recommend this place and even better if you bring your Kayaks. Great hikes very close by.

Spring Break Fun

We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. The cabin is modern, clean, and centrally located to all of the fun. It is so unique to have quiet waterfront property in town and be able to walk to the coffee shop! We enjoyed hiking, fishing, catching a movie, and shopping at the famous hardware store. We hope to be back soon.

A wonderful winter week

We had a wonderful winter week stay at the Sci Sci Chalet. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had a cook’s kitchen. Having the grocery store within walking distance was really nice. We hope to return this year with warmer weather to enjoy kayaking the beautiful Moose River right from the back yard. We had a wonderful time skiing and spending time with family.

Perfect weekend getaway

Sweet little house on a river right next to a great little town. It’s totally walkable to restaurants and fun little shops. The house was spotless with many seasonal decorations. Beds were comfortable. Ample parking. We would gladly stay here again.

Cozy, Clean and Comfortable!

Our party of five had a wonderful time in Old Forge, and staying at the Sci Sci Chalet was perfect! The chalet is absolutely adorable, lovingly and artistically cared for. The owner's beautiful artwork around the place was a fun to discover! The setting- walking distance to town, yet on the river, couldn't be better. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is beautiful and so well appointed - not only an amazing assortment of pots, pans, glassware, bowls etc., but all the kitchen essentials you can imagine including cleaning supplies, spices, tea, and sugar. We cooked some great meals together in the spacious kitchen and really enjoyed the wood stove- which also comes with a huge supply of wood. The only minor surprise was having to share the dock at the river front with the other renters who were staying in the owners' small cottage down hill from the main chalet. Also, if you come for a weekend, be prepared to dispose of your own garbage. But, over all this rental experience was wonderful, the chalet has an open, comfortable layout, and was perfect for our special Adirondack visit. Thank you!!!
