Our experience with this rental was mixed. The home was clean, well equipped, and in a nice area, but there were several issues future guests should consider. The listing describes the property as having 3 bedrooms, which we found misleading. The upstairs sleeping nook is not an enclosed bedroom and does not have a door for privacy. The description reflects a trundle bed, but the photos have not been updated. Due to the tight space, the lower pull-out bed can’t fully extend. The dryer was inoperable during the 3 of the 7 nights we stayed. The host notified us at check-in that she was working to repair it, but delays continued and it remained unresolved until we departed. The main issue was the upstairs air quality during wildfire smoke. We have stayed at other Wapato properties during wildfire events and were able to comfortably remain indoors. This home was different. The downstairs has central AC and did not have issues, but the upstairs relies on window AC units. The air quality became overwhelming enough that we moved our 3 children downstairs to sleep in the one bedroom. We ultimately left after 3 nights instead of our scheduled 7 nights due to the upstairs conditions. The host provided a partial refund and maintained it covered all issues. We didn’t feel it adequately reflected the unused portion of our stay and the noted issues. Overall, the sleeping arrangements, dryer issue, upstairs air quality, and host significantly impacted our stay.
