Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you loved our home and its amenities. We do, however, want to clarify several points for future guests who may read this review. All exterior security cameras at our property are fully disclosed in our listing prior to booking, including the camera referenced near the hot tub area. That camera does not face or record the hot tub. It is positioned toward the entrance gate to that area for property security. We also do not actively monitor our cameras or have motion alerts enabled during guest stays; their primary purpose is protecting the property while it is unoccupied. We take our guests’ privacy very seriously, which is precisely why the location and purpose of our cameras are disclosed before a reservation is made. Likewise, our listing specifically addresses the fact that this is a mountain property surrounded by nature and that guests may encounter insects, spiders, and webs despite regular professional cleaning and maintenance. We disclose this in advance because we want guests to know exactly what to expect when choosing a stay in this type of natural setting. We were surprised to learn through this review that there was reportedly an issue with the main-floor sink, as we received no communication from this group regarding the sink—or any other concern—during their stay. Had we been contacted, we would have been happy to address it promptly. We also want to clarify the statement that guests are asked to “do all the cleaning.” Our checkout requests are intentionally minimal: start the dishwasher, start a load of towels, secure doors and windows, and leave the home reasonably as it was found. Our professional cleaning team handles the actual cleaning, sanitizing, bathrooms, linens, floors, kitchen, and complete reset of the home for our next guests. We work very hard to provide a wonderful experience and are proud of the consistently positive feedback our home has received. While every guest is entitled to their subjective experience, several concerns raised here involve information clearly disclosed before booking or expectations that do not accurately reflect our policies. We’re pleased that you loved the home and its amenities, and we wish you well in your future travels.
