Perched on a slight bluff above the Pacific, this dog-friendly home offers unbelievable ocean views from the deck, a quiet stretch of beach 60 steps away, and a gourmet kitchen cozy fireplace back inside.

What's nearby:
The charming town of Seal Rock is just five minutes north, with an eclectic handful of businesses. The heart of Newport's bustling bayfront and Oregon Coast Aquarium are 15 minutes away. Heading south, the Alsea River winds through the laid-back village of Waldport, drawing in fishermen, crabbers, clammers, and kayakers. The home is also close to a wide variety of national parks, including hiking and climbing in the old-growth forests of Siuslaw National Forest.

Definitely worth it!

The property was exactly what was advertised! The views were spectacular! House was clean and comfortable with more than enough room for our group of 6 adults and one 4 year old. We loved the private beach access. Stairs are steep, but had no problems! Our family loved it and would definitely book again!

Beautiful location

We loved our stay here! It had ample space to explore indoors and outside. We spent a lot of time on the deck and grass area taking in the views. Location is also very convenient. There’s local restaurants, grocery stores, shops and other state parks within a 5 minute drive.We definitely want to come back!

We had an amazing stay at this VRBO! The location was perfect—right on the beach, so we could enjoy the sun and sand without having to venture far. But close enough to fun beaches/activities if you did want to venture off. We loved the variety of activities available; the board games, puzzles, and books in the basement provided a great way for our family to relax together when the kids wanted to stay in. If I had to be picky, I would suggest updating the shower towels, as a few had stains and weren't as absorbent as we'd hoped. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic experience. We highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Looking for Dark Sky

Excellent property for sky or ocean watching. Wonderful windows. Well stocked with cooking gear. Better than other Vacasa rentals. Looking for the games-they are in the basement. Comfortable beds. Good stairway to the beach.

Wonderful January Stay

Great place for our family! We made lasagna the first night, 15 minute drive up to South Beach Fish Market for lunch the next day (love that place), and we made breakfast-for-dinner with sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, and pancakes for dinner our final night. Views are great and the beach is so close. We streamed a movie on the house Roku device for family movie night. The kitchen, internet, and the house in general had everything I expected.

Quintessential PNW Beach House

This was a perfect spot to meet our college kids for a long weekend, and a great fit for our family of 5. We’ve stayed in countless rentals along the Oregon and Washington coasts, and this is by far our favorite. The stairs to the beach were doable even by our son who is recovering from a broken leg, and the views from the house, yard, and deck are amazing. Everything we needed, we found in the kitchen, and the WiFi was great, even for streaming. We really loved almost everything about the house! But the upstairs really needs window coverings available in all of the windows…especially the bathroom. Even though it’s very private, neighboring houses do have windows visible from the bathroom and upstairs side windows, especially at night. One upstairs window was also missing a screen.

Beautiful view and plenty of space

We had an amazing stay with our group of 5. The kitchen was amazing, everything we could need. The bedrooms were plenty big, lots of extra blankets and pillows. Again, the view made me never want to leave. With the windows and sliders open we had a wonderful breeze and were comfortable the whole time. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Older beach house with great location

The house is pretty dated. Everything has been well used. The house is in a great location with a perfect view of the ocean. Great room upstairs for kids to have their own space. House gets very warm in the afternoon during the summer months. It has what you need to enjoy the coast. With a few upgrades it would be the perfect place for a family getaway. thewindows

Beautiful beach!

The house was very clean and had everything you could need. Excellent location and very relaxing and private. One of the stove burners were out and the king size mattress and queen downstairs could definitely be replaced. Overall was very pleased with everything else. Thank you for sharing your home!

Great oceanfront private property

5 of us stayed here for a long weekend. Plenty of room for all to feel spaciousness and privacy when needed. Perfect beach view and access. Lots of utensils and equipment available. Location is good for waterfront town hopping. The TV upstairs didnt work. The grill could use a good cleaning (it hasnt been used in awhile), and spotting the driveway off the highway is tricky. But these didnt hinder a great time.

Only great thing was the view of the ocean. My wife and I stayed there 12 years ago, it was a charming place. It's fallen into disrepair, and we left 3 days early of our 5 night booking. Sad, we'd driven 1400 miles for this stay. Avoid this place!!

The sea drifter home at seal rock is very well photographed for what you get. The views from the living room and deck are wide open ocean views. you can leave your windows open and hear the ocean all night long. The property is very private and you don’t hear anything but the ocean. The private 61 stairs. to get to the beach are very convenient. The homes beds and pillows and linens were in good supply and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking dishes and materials. The home is very dated, but the location and Beach Access are what you want when you stay at this home.

Perfect getaway!

What a fabulous home! The private beach access was great, and even though we were near a state beach, there were very few people on the beach. Beautiful beach to stroll on for miles in either direction. The tide pools were a nice spot to explore and the house is located in an area that is convenient to shop or explore other areas. The house was well stocked- the only negative I would say was I wish there was a fan or something we could have used, as it was pretty warm weather during our stay and was not windy, which made the house hot during the day. Otherwise, a magnificent location and just what our family needed!

Cute and comfy but dated

Overall this house was comfy and cute. Although very dated and in need of a deep clean. At first glance it was quite clean but the longer we were there the more we notice. Blinds had thick dust and grime and the windows and door tracks had mold. One of the couches had a bent leg that made us scared to sit. All of this was worth it for the view and easy beach access.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views

It was a wonderful home. Beach access great but steep stairs (just fine). Not very well equipped. Only 2 kitchen towels. Not the right sized garbage bags. No salt and pepper. No sugar. Not enough coffee filters or coffee. Not required but typical. The bedding smelled of urine and needed to be washed. Hair in the sheets. I think they missed this bed during clean up. Washer ourselves and no problem other than, eqww. Not enough chairs for the number of people the house accommodates. Couch leg looked daunting. Didn’t use it. Coffee table shelf broken We did have a nice stay but someone needs to know this stuff. We would recommend with some repairs.

Almost perfect!!

Pros: Private! Great yard for kids and dogs. House was spacious, kid and dog friendly. Picture windows gave a great view of the ocean. Plenty of streaming options available which is nice when you have special needs grandchildren that need some sensory input. Beds were very comfortable! Kitchen was fully equipped and very well stocked. Overall, the house was exactly what we were looking for, for a great family get away. We will be back! Con’s: Very difficult to see the driveway marker from the highway. I feel it needs to be a more visible marker. Front door needs a handle on the outside to pull Ian’s hold it closed so that locking the door is easier. A added chain lock higher in the door on the inside would be a benefit to keep toddlers from unlocking and opening the door.
