Kunea Place rests on three-quarters of an acre of beautifully landscaped property, with a private pool and tennis court access. The home sleeps eight guests and has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room, a large renovated and fully equipped kitchen, indoor/outdoor dining areas and barbeque.

All of the rooms at Kunea face out over the pool, tennis court and the lush landscaped property. There are also views of the West Maui Mountains and the ocean in the background. The property has ample amenities and gardens. Activities include swimming, tennis, croquet, . Or you can choose to just practice your golf swing, throw the football around or simply lie by the pool under the palm trees.
WE HAVE A 100 day CANCELATION POLICY THAT IS REFUNDABLE IF WE CAN REBOOK.

Minutes from Baby Beach, Paia, Kanaha, Sugar Cove, Kahului. In terms of location you cannot find anything better. Kunea Place is a three-minute walk to Baby Beach and minutes away from gorgeous and accessible beaches for surfing and windsurfing. A four-minute drive (or a 20-minute walk along the beach) takes you into Paia, which as you may know is a fantastic original plantation village. Today it's a very cool surfer town filled with restaurants, boutiques, yoga studios, and the best health food store on Maui. When you decide to dine out you can enjoy any one of the delicious nearby restaurants. We have a 100 day cancellation Because the home sleeps 8 if we re-book we refund the funds.
We are going to offer a free massage from the best on Maui for all new bookings of 5 days or more and she will be available for added people who want more at her cost listed in the welcome folder. Mahalo

Our family of 7 adults enjoyed every minute of our stay here! It had absolutely everything we needed. More importantly, our whole family agreed the set up of having a well appointed kitchen right off the pool entrance, and separate entrances to each of our bedrooms, and the ability to enjoy our meals poolside each day provided a perfect private “compound” feel that really enhanced our vacation. We much preferred staying on this side of the island and easily driving to hikes and activities versus staying in the thick of all the tourist activity. Host very responsive to the couple of questions we had. Highly recommended for groups of 5 - 8.

The house has the perfect location. The pool and access to baby beach is exactly what we wanted. The house is in desperate need of painting. A few issues like no hot water, some windows inoperable, some window shades don’t offer privacy, the bathroom fan in 2nd bedroom was inoperative. The host was super responsive delivering us a NEW baby crib and beach chairs! Super helpful!!

We come to May a lot and this is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. The location is perfect- just a couple blocks from some of the best beaches on the island. The house is centered around a wonderful large pool that’s beautifully landscaped; we ate every meal around it and swam in it throughout the day. The tennis court is excellent and there are lots of rackets and balls so you don’t have to bring your own. We loved the place and are already planning to come back.

My wife and I recently stayed at Kunea Place with our family to celebrate our 50th anniversary. It was the perfect home for our party of 8 which included our 2 grandkids aged 10 & 12. The house was plenty spacious enough for our group. When we arrived we found it to be very clean and with a well equipped kitchen and a gas grill to prepare meals after days of hiking and snorkeling. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and meticulously groomed and the pool and tennis courts were a big hit with our group. Kunea Place is centrally located in Sprecklesville on Maui's north shore and is close to beaches, the Hana Highway Mt. Haleakala and many restaurants and attractions. The property manager, Dennis was very helpful both in the booking process and in making sure that our stay was comfortable and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Maui. ..... Aloha

Great family location

Fabulous house. Pool is super clean and warm and huge; greater for swimmers. Beds are very comfortable. Cotton linens. Great kitchen. Everyone had plenty of room. 2 blocks to family friendly beach with cove that helps with young kids. Very responsive manager. Great house for family use. The airport noise is not a deal breaker. The bathrooms and showers are quite clean but could use wall washing and base board cleaning but that actually allows family use without lots of worry of being meticulous. Thank you; great week.

Great location

Kitchen has everything you need for cooking family meals. Lots of pool towels and toys for the kid's. The grounds are beautiful The setup for each of the rooms allowed for individual privacy. Walking distance to the beach.This home was very roomy for our family of seven.

Stayed with a group including kids and grandparents. Loved the place, great jumping off location for the many activities in Maui. The pool, tennis/pickleball court, and outdoor dining area were the highlights! Communication with Dennis was great, my daughter left a cherished stuffed animal in her bed sheets and Dennis arranged to have it shipped to us. Would definitely stay again.

Maui Paradise

House and property is beautiful, better than the photos. Located near just about everything you could ever want to do. Check in/ out was a breeze, everything worked properly and the house had all extras (towels, pool and tennis equipment). I would highly recommend staying here while on Maui. If we return we would definitely stay here again.

Stunning property and exceptional location; opt for comms & property info

This is probably our favorite neighborhood on the island. It’s incredibly convenient to Kahului and the airport, and Baby Beach (just a short walk away) is a gem, perfect for families with its calm, shallow waters.The real standout here is the property itself. The expansive lawns, beautiful lanai, and stunning view made it easy to spend 99% of our time outside, which was exactly what we were looking for in a Maui vacation.We had a great time using this home as our base. While some areas of the property are a bit worn (some older bathrooms and outdoor furniture), Dennis was quick to respond when one of the chairs broke, which we appreciated. One thing to note: the pool is absolutely gorgeous, but deep throughout (no shallow end) so it's not ideal for young children or shorter folks. That said, we’re avid swimmers and loved it.The only real stressor was the lack of detailed instructions around check-in, check-out, and home logistics (e.g., trash, lawn and pool care schedule). We had to reach out for a few details that would have been helpful to have in advance or in a home guide.

Great Stay

This property was amazing and was such a nice getaway from city life. The airport is very close so it makes it nice to be able to come in and leave the trip. Landscaped beautifully and the pool is deep. The views are breathtaking and the little things done to make you enjoy your time while at the rental were much appreciated. Laundry and wrap-around-lawn were nice and it is right near a golf course. You can walk through the grounds of the place a number of ways that make it to where dogs or neighbors can just walk into your area, but the neighbors are respectful as long as you're not being loud. Overall great place to stay and the updated bathrooms were such a nice treat to have. Would stay here again if I travel with a small group of friends again.

The stay was great and worked perfectly where everyone had a seperate room or could gather if needed. The only annoyance but not an issue was the landscaping crews and navigating through them in the driveway.

Perfect for our family

We were visiting family on Maui and this home was perfect for our mutli generational household. The homes large yard and pool was great for our kids who had fun sharing one of the Ohana connected to the main home. We prefer staying on the North side of the island and near Paia, so the location fit that as well. We actually extended our stay because we weren’t ready to leave and Dennis was very prompt accommodating our request. We look forward to staying at this home again when we return to Maui for another family visit.

Perfect fit!

Never have been to Hawaii but this place felt like home! Loved that each room had its own bathroom, gorgeous view with a constant breeze and nothing felt far away. Host was very responsive, and even went out of his way to find an earring I noticed missing on my plane ride home, and is mailing it back... above and beyond!

First time in Maui

We really enjoyed our stay…was the perfect set up for our family. The pool is enormous - we didn’t find the pool toys until towards the end of our trip - (in a closet near the pool) but we loved the pool. We also ended up using the tennis court almost every day so big bonus there. There were several tennis rackets and balls and 2 pickle ball paddles. We walked to the beach a few times - it’s beautiful. One evening we watched 15+ turtles come up on the beach. The house is basically at the start of the Road to Hana so that is super convenient. Close to Paia, the airport, grocery store, etc. Several reviews mentioned the airplane traffic…we saw and heard the planes but it did not bother us at all. The only negative for us (and it was minor) was that the lawn crew showed up one morning and were there for several hours, mowing, blowing, pruning trees, etc. If we had known they were coming, we would have planned to be out at that time. Just would have been nice to get a heads up. Overall, would highly recommend for a larger family (with older kids/adult kids) or group of friends. Good times!

The house was the perfect setup for our crew! It couldn’t have worked out any better. The new outdoor shower was amazing! The kitchen is furnished with all the amenities needed. We ate all our meals on the Lanai and, what a view we had! The pool… OMGENORMOUS (new word)!!!!! We went to the beach twice but, not for long. We stayed poolside the rest of the stay. We are now spoiled as far as staying anywhere else. Dennis was even kind enough to allow a late checkout since our flight wasn’t till 8pm. The coolest part about the late checkout….the landscaper crew arrived and cut down a few coconuts and we got to drink and eat a couple! Everyone that we had contact with were very courteous and showed the true Aloha spirit! Well done!!! Looking forward to renting this beautiful property again! Mahalo 🌺

Relax in Comfort!

Property was amazing and very relaxing. We so enjoyed eating dinners and breakfast by the pool. The pool is 5 star and so nice to relax every day in! The small town nearby is within walking distance and has shopping and several places for drinks and dinners. The house neighborhood is quiet and the house was very clean and maintained. Chairs by the pool were super comfortable and the rooms were awesome that walked directly out to the pool. Everyone in our party loved the rooms and area. The kitchen has everything so we made dinners and enjoyed eating at the table by the pool. We easily streamed to the TV and watched sports from the pool area. Did I mention how awesome the pool was! I recommend this to anyone looking to vacation in Maui. It was close to the road to Hanna and several beaches/snorkling. Thank you to the owner.

Great house

My family of four with a 2 yr old loved staying at this home. It was very close to baby beach - perhaps one of our favorite beaches in Maui. The proximity to Paia - a very cute town - was perfect. It was so central and easy to get to every spot on the island. We spent a lot of time in the pool and loved having our dinners outside. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative was the plane noise but honestly we got pretty used to it by night 3 and our boy loved watching the planes land so maybe not even a negative 😁
