You will enjoy great days right here in one of the best places on earth!

We guarantee the most beautiful sunset of Florida in shiny colors and with the best view, you will ever have.

Our "Fishermen´s Paradise" is located just a few minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico. The house has direct access to the water with its own landing stage. The spectacular view to the west won´t let you spend your evenings somewhere else. The building complex is characteristic of Matlacha - a colorful and creatively decorated accommodation with a fresh touch and lovingly attached details.

The "Fisherman´s Paradise" consists of 5 small and adorable studios. Each studio offers a queen-size bed, an eat-in kitchen, and an own shower bath. A community washing machine and dryer are also available as well as many different seating groups in the spacious outside area.

Look forward to spending nice evenings on the terrace: the sensational sunset will ensure a relaxed atmosphere.

Calm, clean, and charming

Out stay was very nice. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable, communication was quick. There are some good local options for eating out, and the Publix is a short drive. Highly recommended.

We don’t arrive until midnight on our arrival date. We had requested an outside light be on so we could see and access our lockbox. They responded promptly and assured us they would do so Very much appreciated!This was our 4th time staying at the Redfish Room. We hadn’t been back there for 4 years because of the damage caused by Hurricane Ian. We were pleasantly surprised that the Redfish Room and the other 4 units had all been restored. We love the new screened in porch and the views from the dock. We saw lots of fish jumping in the canal and even saw dolphins on 2 occasions swimming in the gulf. Great sunsets every night from the dock area. A big plus to this location is the ability to walk to shops and restaurants (The Blue Dog, the Yukatan and the Perfect Cup). We were also a short driving distance to other restaurants in St. James City and Bookelia. Grocery stores were just a short drive away. Also an easy drive to Fort Myers Beach. Our only complaint was the bed was a little too firm and the pillows a little flat. We didn’t have hot water for a few days but as soon as we contacted the property manager the problem was quickly remedied….again, very much appreciated! For the price this is an excellent place to stay.

Waterfront Delight

We loved our cozy apartment on the water--saw lots of fish jumping and also a dolphin while sitting out on the deck. Being within walking distance cof the shops and restaurants was a real plus. Also we were off the main road so it was very peaceful😉

I have lung issues and the room smelled musty and I had a difficult time breathing. We never spent a night in the room and left the key in the drop box the second day. There was not refund and we were out over 700.

We are very surprised by this review. The guest informed us that his wife was not happy with the accommodation, and they subsequently chose not to stay because he didn't want to cause any stress with his wife. There was never any mention of breathing problems or the alleged mold odor, not to mention that the guest couldn't possibly have had any problems since he didn't stay.

Just what we needed.

This cheerful, tidy studio was just what we needed. The deck on the canal, just a few steps out our door, was the perfect place to see palm-tree-silhouetted sunsets. There were several good restaurants within walking distance. On Christmas Eve, the streets were all lined with luminaria for a magical effect. Property Manager Charity was very welcoming and friendly and I have no doubt that if we had needed anything, even on Christmas Day, she would have been right on it. We took the canoe out for a paddle all the way around the island, which took about two hours. It was a glorious way to spend Christmas. It's nice that the boats are available. There are numerous nature preserves within short driving distance and we were able to find a different place to hike and birdwatch every day.

Birthday Getaway

My husband and I have both just turned 60 and we felt we wanted to celebrate surrounded by sunshine and palm trees. So being the big Minnesota Twins fans we are we knew we had to be close to Fort Meyers so we could take in the last of the spring training games. We didn’t want to stay in Fort Meyers but wanted to be close enough to get to games. When I saw the Redfish Room I knew it was the perfect spot. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. Loved the front porch for early morning coffee and a great place to get out of the sun when needed. There are 3 other units and we really enjoyed getting to know the other renters as we all gathered on the dock for afternoon sun or evening cocktails. Saw many beautiful sunsets from the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed the local restaurants, the quaint shops, sunset cruises all within walking distance! We had some trouble with the TV ......not that we came to Florida to watch TV but Minnesota was playing in the NCAA tourney.....but with the help of Charity we were able to get it working. We loved our stay there and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for the great Florida memories!

Charming and Cozy

The Redfish Room is a charming and cozy little studio with a delightful screened in porch attached. The deck provides a lovely place to sit and relax. It is within walking distance of everything in Matlacha. It is small so it pays to travel light and the Wi-Fi is not very reliable so it pays to spend your time outdoors instead of on your computer.

Whether in Matlacha or elsewhere in Florida: it's always a good idea to spend lots of time outdoors! We have had work on the transmission towers in the area for a few weeks now, affecting the entire area with alternating good and bad internet We want to thank you for your 5-stars feedback and we are happy that you had a cozy time!

Met some great people.

Met two other solo travelers and we hung out together fishing, grilling, partying, listening to music etc. Fishermans paradise forces community among travelers so is a great venue for meeting new people.

Wonderful Stay

Excellent, quiet getaway in serene setting. Everything is just as stated in the listing. Quaint, clean room with deck on the water and screened room overlooking that. Communication with both the host and property manager is top notch, pre reservation all the way through check out. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it. Thank You!

Centrally Located to Travel the Area

Very nice and cozy, Marcus was always available to answer any questions that we had. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and casting fishing lines while also tanning. Property is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlor. It is also a short drive to Bookelia in Pine Island were we took a boat charter to Cabbage Key and were lucky enough to see dolphins following the boat and plying with the boat's wake. Would stay again if we returned to the area.
