Welcome to the Hill of Beans Cabin on stunning Lake Vermilion, Minnesota. We offer a clean space, comfortable beds and memories to last a life time. We are from Minnesota, and we are beyond excited to share our long awaited cabin that we have dreamt about for years! During our trips to Vermilion, we soak in the scenery, fish for walleye, relax around the campfire, star gaze, capture the Northern Lights, grouse hunt, take casino trips to Fortune Bay, cruise the lake to catch the haunting loon calls, the list is simply endless. Book a ladies trip and head to Fortune Bay, try your luck on one of the many fun slot machines; or head over to charming downtown Ely for endless shopping and dining. Perhaps you want to fish with your buddies and set out to catch your limit of walleye or catch a massive musky! Bring your boat or simply call one of the local marinas and ask about their specials on rentals. Consider a cozy romantic weekend with your significant other, this is the perfect place to unwind with your favorite person. Lake Vermilion is one of the most sought after lakes in Minnesota. It is rimmed with thick forest and studded with 365 pine-topped islands that spread throughout its 37 miles. While it is largely undeveloped, Lake Vermilion provides a peaceful northern escape just waiting for you to explore (Explore MN). Our cabin is located on the shores of the very peaceful, Frazer Bay. Once here, unpack, unwind, or head out to explore. Our cabin is centrally located, easy to find, and is close to everything you need. The Y Store which is located in Tower, provides a quick one stop shop for snacks, fishing tackle, bait, gas, liquor, ice cream and gifts! If you're looking for a grocery store, stop in at Zup's in Cook, they have everything! If you have any questions, please ask.

Our property is incredibly cozy, boasts fun decor, has a classic cabin feel, and provides an ambiance that quite simply, compares to none. Hang out with fun twinkly lights, lanterns lit, the camp fire crackling, and endless night sky stars; it truly is a Northern Retreat! If you get lucky, you can view the Northern Lights right out your front doorstep! With the public access just down the road, bring your boat and set sail! The views here are incredible and the lake is stunning. Stay with us and snag a little slice of heaven.

**You may be wondering what you need to bring***

Our property does not have a washer/dryer. There is a coin laundromat in Tower. Please bring detergent and bounce sheets.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including spices and the usual condiments. Feel free to use whatever you need. We have crock pots, do not worry!

We have plenty of seating, but if you want to bring folding camp chair's/beach chairs that are specific to your needs, feel free.

IMPORTANT: We are on a lake fed filtered water system, it is not suitable for drinking. Please plan accordingly. We will provide one case of water, and two gallon jugs for drinking/cooking/brushing teeth.


***We ask our guests to take their garbage and recycling to Canister 77 Site, which is located just a few minutes down the road. Signs will be posted in the cabin with instructions. We provide a punch card that you can use, and please return to cabin. Please do not leave fish remnants behind. We wrap and freeze them until we throw them away, it's pretty slick and stink free!!! Please clean fish in garage at the cleaning station provided. If garbage is stored in garage during your stay, please make sure door is shut at all times. There are always animals around. Please be mindful.
