Thank you so much for the review, Debbie. We’re glad you enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and easy beach access. We do need to gently clarify a few points. Your reservation was for 6 guests (5 adults and 1 child). You messaged us the day before to say your granddaughter’s friend would join for a few days, and we thanked you and chose not to charge any extra person fee. We were surprised to see the review state that 8 people stayed, as that exceeded both the booked number and the rate clearly listed for 6. As for the ants, we keep bait under the sink and regularly spray as part of our Northwoods care. We hadn’t had prior complaints and truly wish this had been mentioned during your stay so we could have helped right away. Regarding the towels, I personally inspect every set before each arrival and we have replaced nearly all of them this year. White towels are the hospitality standard, though they show stains more easily. After your departure we found several badly orange-stained from your use; those have been professionally laundered and replaced. Brand-new towels for every stay simply isn’t feasible, but we take linen care seriously. We’re disappointed the stay fell short of your expectations, especially during that stretch of extreme heat.
