. The Cottage has two private bedrooms one with a New King Sized bed and the other with a Queen Sized bed. Another small private room in the front of cabin with lake view sleeps two in single individual beds. All linens and towels are provided including beach towels. The cottage has a comfortable three season porch. Complete kitchen fully equipped with cooking utensils, eating utensils, coffee pot, electric fry pan, pots and pans including a slow cooker for easy meals and a microwave. The main cabin has full bath, shower/bath tub including towels, hair dryer. Large deck on the lake side with New Porch Furniture for all guests to enjoy for mealtimes and relaxing. Also an additional sunset dock is located on the waters edge. Large flat area by waters edge perfect for yard games or just relaxing on the swing or hammock. The bunkhouse has a double bed and bunk beds. There is a bathroom (sink/toilet) with a shower in the bunkhouse and includes a washer and dryer.
New 50 foot Dock to accommodate boats from 16ft to 26ft. Public boat launch/access is within a few hundred feet of The Cottage. The Cottage and Bunkhouse are close to waters edge which provides a quiet and peaceful experience. Multiple vehicle and boat trailer parking are available on the property. The property allows camp fires (Per Forest Service Regulations) in the evening after a full day of enjoying Lake Vermilion.

Beautiful property with all the amenities. The bunkhouse worked perfectly for our extended family to stay with us, but yet have their own privacy. Loved the lake view and campfires! Thank you for being great hosts!

Quintessential Minnesota cabin, comfortably furnished, with all the amenities needed to enjoy a week at the lake. The cabin, bunkhouse, sauna, and dock are in great shape and the yard is large and beautiful. Jerry was a fabulous host and made it easy to enjoy our time together.

Perfect up north getaway

We had a great week over the 4th of July with our family at the cottage. Great fishing, loved the central location on the lake. The cottage had everything we needed, Jerry was great and very attentive. We would definitely come back!

Great Vacation Exceeding Expectations

It was even more than I expected and my husband, son-in-law, 2 brothers all liked this place very much. It had everything we needed and much more. We were there primarily to enjoy time together and get out in our boat which we usually manage to do about once a year. If you wanted more than fishing there was plenty available, too, such as many lovely places to sit outside or inside, cable T.V.,books, area information, games. The fishing was great fun and we had fresh fish to eat every day we were there. Jerry was very accomodating and their property was very clean, homey, well supplied with everthing needed. Also with all good beds, good appliances, nicely furnished and decorated. It was a very good vacation enjoyed by all of us!

Beautiful property

Had an amazing long fishing weekend here and would absolutely come back. Beautiful property and fit the needs of our group of five wonderfully. We appreciated how clean and furnished it was. Excellent dock that could accommodate both of our fishing boats. Jerry was easy to communicate with and a great host.

Lovely in the Fall

We had the pleasure of spending our 40th Wedding Anniversary at The Cottage, on Lake Vermilion. This is much more than a cottage—it is a lovely home on the lake with lots of room. The home is nicely furnished as was the kitchen, and everything was very clean. It is situated in the middle of the lake, so it has great access to getting most anywhere on the lake. The area is beautiful in the fall. Jerry was an excellent host, and my husband joked that “Jerry is the perfect concierge—available when you need him and invisible when you don’t.” Hosts Jerry and Lori reside next door, but we really were able to enjoy this large venue and feel like “it was all ours” with plenty of privacy. We would highly recommend this property to others who wish to vacation at Lake Vermilion

Great Place!

Thanks to Jerry for having us. The cottage was very nice and everything was as described. The entire property is beautiful, especially the back patio, dock and boat house. Jerry was very accommodating throughout our stay and checked in often to make sure we didn't need anything. He went above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend this property. (maybe Jerry will sell it to me some day...lol)

The cabin is in a perfect location, very clean and the host are always available for questions. My husband appreciated how close the landing was to the cabin and I liked the dock / sandy bottom lake shore. We will definitely be back.

Great mid-summer family vacation.

There was plenty of room inside the cottage and outside. We had a total of 6 people residing at the cottage. Our teen daughters had the opportunity to use the bunkhouse, offering a vacation within a vacation. The cottage was very clean and offered all the things we needed, from extra blankets, pots/pans, games, and basic utensils for even the simplest need. We especially enjoyed the ample lakefront with chairs to view the lakeside sunset and ample dock space. We sat for hours watching nature at it’s finest to fishing and catching a few fish (and crawdads).

Great cottage on a wonderful lake!

We had a great time at Jerry's cottage. The property is a quintessential lake cottage with a beautiful view of Frazer Bay, which is centrally located on Lake Vermilion. Jerry was so helpful, offering tips on the best lunch spots, how to navigate the lake, etc. It was a great place to stay!

Great family vacation

Fantastic property! So much room and everything we needed for a week away from the hustle and bustle. Kitchen is fully stocked, beds are very comfortable, and the house is big enough to spread out (and that was nice for a family of five adults). Jerry, the property owner is great and went above and beyond to make the week great!

Wonderful stay

We stayed for 9 days at this lovely property. We are a family of 4 & we have taken a lot of fishing trips over the years. This is out 3rd time to Vermilion. This property is perfection. The home itself is spotlessly clean, lovely northern decor, new beds, comfortable seating.....The hosts have supplied more then enough linens & towels for a family, kitchen is fully stocked, soaps, detergents, paper towels. They have thought of everything. Fantastic wifi. Ceiling fans for those hot days & baseboard heating for the cool nights. The dock is new. We had no problems tying up our 21" bass boat. The yard is huge & we enjoyed playing the yard games supplied. A lot of folks complain about poor fishing at Vermilion. We always do really well, but we fish for bass. A #4 or #5 Mepps thrown at the shoreline pulls in plenty of northern, smallmouth & walleye. I can't comment on the musky fishing. We had a wonderful time & we hope to return again. Thank you Jerry & Lori for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Great Place on the Lake

Jerry and Lori have a great cottage right by the water and were always available for anything that may come up. The house was exactly as described. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet place right on the water with easy access to the entire lake.

Fantastic cottage

Jerry is a wonderful host, this cottage is perfect for any family get away. The cottage is very comfortable and the grounds are spacious. Our stay here was incredible, highly recommend to all who wish to enjoy Lake Vermilion!!!!

Great family stay over 4th of July

Jerry and Lori are great hosts. The house is stocked like one that someone actually lives in...not just a rental property. Jerry will hook you up with anything else that you require. The property is actually even better than the pictures. We had plenty of space for our party of 8. There is no A/C and we had the hottest days in the summer (mid 80's) but the cabin stayed relatively cool as it's shaded by the trees. There are a few ceiling fans and other floor fans available. Also, nights cooled things down nicely. Now only if the fish would've been biting... :-)

Wonderful Cottage Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it was everything as described. We would however, would have liked to known that filtered lake water was used at the home and spring water provided for drinking. I have a health situation, with suppressed immune system, where it could have made a difference. Overall our experience was wonderful.

Lake Vermilion 2019

The Owner, Jerry Allen and his wife are superb hosts. The property fit our needs to a T. Two grandchildren, 3 and 4 had a terrific time swimming and catching crawdads. The main hose and the bunk room were very nice. The grounds were in terrific condition. Plenty of table space inside and outside. The dock is new and well designed to handle your boat. The boat house accommodated my 18'6" Lund Alaskan. We'll go back!

We started coming to Lake Vermilion in the 1970's with close friends in search of the elusive walleye while staying at many resorts and rental cabins on the lake, always dreaming about owning our own cabin. Finally we purchased our cabin on Frazer Bay in 1992 which now continues to provide us with many wonderful memories and is located next door to The Cottage.

Our dear neighbors owned The Cottage next door and with their family we created many wonderful memories. As they grew older and realized they needed to sell we struggled with losing the uniqueness of our shared special spot. So in 2014 we bought the cottage so memories would continue to be made and shared by others.

The beauty of The Cottage is the lot is level on the water's edge for family activities. The Cottage is a private, secluded property with 350 feet of lakeshore and over 5 acres of land. The adjoining bay provides privacy while watching water fowl and turtles sitting on rocks. The Cottage has easy access for swimming, boating, fishing and watching wildlife including bald eagles soaring overhead and deer roaming the property. A sauna is available for relaxing and enjoying the northern woods. The Cottage is located only a few hundred feet from the public boat landing for easy boat access in and out of the water.
