This is a GREAT vacation rental right on the beach! Our 2 story with stairs unit is very up-to-date, remodeled with a gorgeous kitchen, sizable outdoor patio area with brand new BBQ, and just steps from a private beach! Each bedroom is nicely furnished for your comfort. 1 California King in the Master, 1 Queen in second room, and 2 sets of twin bunks in the third room. Enjoy the many amenities that DEL MAR BEACH CLUB offers; including multiple heated pools, a spa/Jacuzzi. There is a fitness center and adult lounge, tennis courts. BBQ Grill on patio, and if tank is empty we will reimburse you to fill it. Whether you are vacationing from out of town or selecting this as your 'stay-cation' destination, making this choice will guarantee an AMAZING time!

Tennis or fitness center fans? If so, plan ahead and see onsite manager, Tissa to pay $50 deposit & sign liability waver for use. PLEASE NOTE: Tissa's hours are 9-3 M-F so plan accordingly!

Family vacation

The property was beautiful! Exactly as listed. Perfect for our family vacation (4 adults and 2 kids). The most well equipped rental we have found- from the kitchen to the beach toys. We will come back here!

This condo is amazing. Clean, decorated so cutely and has everything youā€™ll need. Kitchen Is beautiful - has everything youā€™ll need. Also has everything youā€™ll need for the beach - towels, chairs, boogie boards, paddle board, inner tubes. Washer and dryer so you donā€™t have to pack a lot. Our family had a wonderful time!

Beach vacation

Spacious living area and nice patio. Great place to hang out with the family. Loved the complex it was located in with easy access to the beach, pool and pickle ball/tennis. We would definitely go back!

My family had such a wonderful time staying at this unit in DMBC. The stocked kitchen was great for cooking in and all the space we needed was spot on! Loved the private community and access to the beach.

Vacation with family

The condo was perfect for our family vacation! Newly and beautifully remodeled, we couldnā€™t have asked for more! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the extras for the littles (high chair, pack and play, stroller, beach chairs, toys, trundle bed) made our stay a breeze. Beds were comfy, plush linens and lux spa-like shower were really nice; the outdoor private patio allowed for morning coffee and evening relaxing while kids were inside sleeping. We saw nightly sunsets over the ocean from the condo lookout and enjoyed the beach daily. The location was within walking distance of several parks and hiking areas and a quick drive to SanDiego activities. The manager was attentive and made sure all was well. We loved our stay!

Christmas week Stay

This VRBO was a great choice for families with many different age groups. Sleeping accommodations were comfortable and having a fully equipped kitchen great!! The pools were super close and the beach a sort walk through the neighborhood. Everything was working well and there were plenty of beachy extras in the garage. It was a central location with the Zoo, Balboa Park, great restaurants all under a half hour drive.

Incredible condo!

Condo is completely remodeled, with gorgeous fixtures, very comfy beds and nice linens. Kitchen is huge and well stocked. We loved how close it is to the beach - just walk through the complex and down the stairs to the beach. The beach was uncrowded in mid-August - it was almost like we had it to ourselves. Amazing. The beach itself is gorgeous, with cliffs all around. The garage is full of beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboard, umbrellas, and beach towels. It had everything we needed.

Great location

We were traveling for soccer and found this location to be perfect. We had four high school girls and three adults, everyone had plenty of room. Access to the pool and beach was a must! The garage was stocked with everything you could need for the beach. The location was great, near groceries and gas. Easy to get to San Diego to see sights or walk out the beach. Even with the county fair going, it was quiet at night.

Great location

The location canā€™t be beat for the pools / hot tub and beach - this condo complex is great. This condo was roomy enough for our 7 person extended family group however, the comfy couch shown in the living room photo was not what was there when we arrived, so hanging out together in the living room after a long day at the beach did not happen. The couches that were there were uncomfortable. The place was clean enough but a good deep cleaning and a few more dishes and coffee cups in the kitchen would go a long way to make this place the best.

Wonderful Beach Condo!!

We had a wonderful stay at this large and beautiful condo in the Del Mar Beach Club!! It has everything you could want or need. Easy beach access and the beach was not over crowded. They had chairs, umbrellas and towels for everyone. The living areas are very spacious, kitchen is big with everything we needed for cooking at home. We played games in the large living room and our whole party of 7 could easily fit. The master bedroom is a dream and all of the beds and bedrooms were very comfortable!! Our family had a wonderful stay here. We could walk to wonderful restaurants, coffee and charming shops. Warren was helpful and very easy to work with. We were sad to leave and hope to stay here again in the future!!

Beach Relaxation

Property was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Everything worked as advertised with plenty of dishes, cooking pots and pans, etc. Renters should be aware that there was very little in terms of spices and basic cooking stuff like sugar, oil, etc. Access to the beach was great. We especially appreciated all of the beach gear available (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, kids sand toys, etc).Since we had younger kids, we also enjoyed having all of the children toys. The only negative aspect of the stay was the incessant ant infestation. We tried to be careful not leaving food scraps or crumbs out, but every morning we had dozens of ants on the counters, in the cupboards, in the trash,... Had to throw out some food when we weren't careful enough to repackage tightly. Not sure if this is a problem that exterminators can deal with, or a fact of life living at the beach. We would definitely rerent this property and recommend it to others.

Great location in San Diego

Our family visited in March 2023. The condo is in a great location in Solana Beach, easy to get to/from the airport and downtown. We felt very safe, and it was private. There was a Whole Foods near by which was a plus. The bedrooms were a good size. The bathrooms were fine, but the showers were not great. They are definitely in need of an update. The first floor living area was spacious and good for a family. There were 4 pools. One was heated which we needed because it was chilly in San Diego. It closed mid way through our trip for renovations, which the owners alerted us. That was nice they gave us a heads up. The property did heat another pool which was good. Overall I would say the pools and hot tub were ok. The tennis courts were in great shape.

Beautiful home, Amazing Spot!

We vacation at Del Mar Beach Club every summer. It's a "happy place" for my entire family (two kids - 9 and 11, my husband and myself). We love how easy it is to get to a beautiful, uncrowded beach and the wonderful pools at the complex. Everything is right there - it's such an easy and relaxing vacation. We also love having a condo where we can enjoy our meals - either take-out or cooking - after a full day at the beach. This year, we choose this condo as we wanted a little more space. We were in for a huge treat as they JUST renovated the entire unit. It was GORGEOUS!!! Beautifully decorated, brand new appliances, comfortable sofas to relax on with lots of space to be together (or apart ;)!). The beds (all new!) were also super comfortable. The kitchen was amazing with everything you could need - all new, all clean! The garage was filled with everything you could need for a fun-filled day at the beach (boogie boards, a SUP, sand toys, chairs, beach umbrellas, balls and games). I also loved that you could park right in front of your unit, which made going to the grocery store so much easier! I thought we would miss not being directly on the ocean (as we have in past years), but. we didn't. It was a 3 min walk to the beach and having all the extra space and updated amenities made the trip so comfortable and just perfect. (Bonus: if you go over 4th of July, you can step right outside the outdoor space for a perfect view of the fireworks.) Already booked for next year!!

Hope this gets fixed

This is my first bad review of many VRBO stays. This property could be great, but it really needs help. I was ok with the tiredness, linens and towels, a small hole in the wall and leaky roofs. BUT, when my granddaughter arrived and starting crawling around, we noticed peeling paint that I hadn't noticed before. The manager sent a painter to fix it. When he scraped off the paint, there was black mold underneath. He asked if I had any bleach. I told him I was renting, so he went to get some and painted over it. I couldn't stay there. My grandson has respiratory issues and the baby crawling, no way. I threw out 500 dollars of groceries and we all went to a hotel. I called Warren, who said I would be refunded the 10 nights left on my reservation. I thought I should be refunded the total amount, and told him so. VRBO called me and confirmed that the rest of my reservation had been cancelled. Long story short, I never received a refund. The owner said I could have a credit for future use. First, I live on the east coast, and second, no way would I rent this place again. VRBO trip insurance also denied my claim. Just a nightmare.

Rude management.

We did not start out on a good foot. Was having trouble getting a hold of Libby for the arrival instructions. Instead of emailing them before hand you are supposed to text the day you arrive, because traveling isnā€™t stressful enough. After multiple attempts I decided to contact the second person Libby has listed under her contacts. Comes to find out he hasnā€™t worked for her in years. Time for an update?? After almost an hour of no response Warren calls. He was very contradicting and acted as if I was an annoyance to even ask for the arrival instructions. Argued with me about how they were already sent when were not received on my end. Text, email or through messenger. Very rude. Not the warmest of welcomes to say the least. First impression the condo is a little rundown, but clean. Had to finish the housekeepers chores, empty dishwasher, fold laundry, etc. Not exactly how I want to start my vacation, doing someone elseā€™s chores. The first morning in the condo the ice maker broke and almost flooded the kitchen. Not anyoneā€™s fault but with having the bare minimum for necessities it was a little frustrating to try and clean up. We ended up having to use our shower towels to clean up the mess. Who doesnā€™t own kitchen towels? Things seemed to turn around after that. Libby had a repairman come the next day, Warren delivered fresh towels since there werenā€™t even enough in the condo for everyone. Also delivered a few other things we seems necessary for a condo that sleeps 7. Was told they would reimbursed for anything we paid out of pocket for, such as ice. We also had to purchase more toilet paper but didnā€™t see the need to demand money for ice and toilet paper till now. Days after we returned home we were accused and charged $100 for a gate clicker they claimed we lost. Gave up after explaining multiple times that we left it inside the condo where we originally found it with no response from Libby or Warren. Have never experienced lack communication like this from a rental company before. The check in and check out instructions are very vague. It was a decent condo but poorly run management. Will definitely continue staying at DMBC but will not be renting from Libby again.

This is our second year staying at this beautiful unit! Itā€™s absolutely perfect for a family- plenty of space to be together and also to have some time apart :). The kitchen is huge and well stocked with every thing you need to cook at home (or take meals in). There are plenty of beach toys (surf boards, boogie boards, etc) and the unit is updated and just very comfortable. I also will say that Warren, the property manager, is amazing. He is super responsive. Iā€™ve rented properties through him for 8 years and anytime I need to get in touch with him, he is available and works to resolve any minor issues. When renting a home or a condo there are bound to be a few minor things that come up. I had a bad experience back many years where we had a few minor things come up and we couldnā€™t get in touch w anyone to help. Since then, I have really valued a responsive and accommodating property manager as it can really make all the difference! We canā€™t wait to come back again next year!

Well-equipped beach property location.

This property had literally everything a typical family would want/need to enjoy the beach experience. I brought a few things along that I knew I really wanted to have, only to find I basically wasted car space by taking it along. šŸ¤£. We are well out of the baby stage, but not so far out of it to not fully appreciate how many baby items the property had: high chair, double jogging stronger, pack and play, along with lots of indoor toys and coloring supplies for the littles (if you have any). Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. we had a couple questions come up along the way that our host responded to immediately and followed up to make sure we were still good. The layout was totally perfect for this busy, big family that finds making dinners and packing lunches a much less stressful more economical option than eating out. Super open kitchen, generous sized table, and a large grill that I used for cooking. One thing to be aware of that can be common with beach properties: there is no A/C in this unit, and because it does not face the coast directly and is towards the back of the property (ie not super close to the coast), there is little in the way of an ocean breeze that passes through. The unit has lots of fans, which we kept on non-stop, especially since the last day or two of our stay involved a major heat wave. On our final day, however, the thermostat pretty much always read 84, and it was pretty miserable. We figured that made for a great excuse to head to the movie theaters; it was honestly just too hot even to visit the beach or a pool at that point. Loved using this property as ā€œhomeā€ for our family beach vacation! Thanks a bunch!
