Larger Pike, Rainbow and Brown Trout troll the lake. The adjacent wilderness area is Colorado's largest, and adventurers can hunt and hike on 500 miles of trails.

Winter snowmobiling and cross country skiing can be enhanced by short drives to Durango Mountain Resort/Purgatory and Wolf Creek. All-wheel or 4-wheel drive necessary to access the property during winter months.
