You can walk to the Owner's Club recreation center or hop in your car for a 2 minute drive to the Marina. This home is located kitty-corner from the Owners' Club in the heart of the Galena Territory and comes with six amenity passes allowing you access to the Owners' Club where you can enjoy indoor, outdoor, and kiddie pools, a state of the art fitness center, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, Game Room, free WIFI, etc. The Galena Territories offer many activities to choose from, including horseback riding, hiking, wine tours, fishing, shopping, skiing, and more. We booked this home last minute for the long weekend and was underwhelmed by the online pictures. We were pleasantly surprised - the house is so much nicer than the photos depict. Some of the furniture is a little dated but the house is lovely and the screened porch is divine! Well equipped kitchen. Huge primary suite that we didnā€™t use because we stayed upstairs to be near our kiddos. Beautiful big grassy back yard. Highly recommend taking a walk/hike on the trail that you can access by taking a left out of the cul de sac. It goes through a meadow and dips into a forest and climbs back out just across the street from the ownerā€™s club. We took this route with our dog to go to the Sunday Farmerā€™s Market (last one for the season, boo). Saw a flock of turkeys in the backyard and heard a coyote one night. Stargazing was wonderful from both the back deck and the front driveway. Minor issue: weather was beautiful but some windows couldnā€™t be opened and other bc the handle was broken (upstairs back bedroom) or because there were no screens (kitchen/dining). Would stay again.

Bigger than we anticipated. Nice screened in porch and additional deck. Could use a thorough cleaning as many of the fans - ceiling, box and bathroom ones were very dusty. Didnt look like the stairs were vacuumed. Otherwise very clean. Could use a new kitchen table. Was disappointed there wasn't a fire pit - that would be a great addition. Jolene was awesome to work with. Would consider this house again.

We went with my parents, sister, a friend, and my grown children. It worked very well for 8 adults. There are parking spots for 4 cars close to the house. One bedroom is on the main level - good if you don't want to have to go up or down any steps. I thought the place looked good in the pictures but was pleasantly surprised that it was even better in person. It has a more open feel than comes through in the pictures. There's also a nice screen porch off the kitchen. Off that is the deck overlooking the private backyard surrounded by woods. We sat there in the morning, drank our coffee and watched the birds. There was a heat advisory while there so the screen porch was understandably hot. The air conditioner kept up decently, very comfortable on the ground level although at night it was a little extra cool in the lower level room while being a little extra warm in the upper level rooms. I think this would be a wonderful place to experience the fall season with more moderate temperatures and the fall color in the back yard woods. We grilled and cooked inside and appreciated that the kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pans, utensils, things we could use for serving, even aluminum foil and some zipper bags which were so helpful. The home is about 15 minutes from Galena and 11 minutes from the Council Hill Station (Scales Mound, IL) where some of us went to see a music performance. Jolene was very helpful when planning for our visit. We were happy with our stay.

This Vrbo is great! Its very homey feeling and has plenty of space. Very clean and orderly. Its a little outdated but overall that doesnt matter. Everything was very cozy. Thank you! God bless!

House cozy and in quiet neighborhood. Felt like we were at home. Loved screened in porch since fall bugs were bad. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and pans for cooking. Cleanliness items: Moldy coffee grounds in coffee maker, very dirty ceiling fan blades and splattered walls around dining table.

Awesome Family Time in Galena on the Territory

My family and I had a great time staying at this property. We were in Galena for a family event. The house was very nice and well maintained. The management was very friendly and easy to contact. I will definitely be back to stay at this property.

Very clean property with beautiful views of foliage located in a beautiful area. Great response with Manager, far enough away from Galena to enjoy the country, but close enough to get to town within minutes. A great experience!

Everything was exactly as described. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were good with the indoor and outdoor pool. Golf was top notch.

Location was wonderful. Needs a few maintenance issues which most could be easily fixed. Downstairs bathroom needs a new toilet seat since seat moves left/right and doesn't appear that bolts can be tightened. Master bathroom shower door needs to have a guide so glass door doesnt push in. Safety issues. Front door thresholds needs a screw that is missin in the center which caused trouble closing door. FYI-I did shared these issues with property manager. Would come back here. We loved the screened deck area!

Girls trip 2022

We were so pleased to have the wifi that wasn't listed in the description! The beds were so wonderful to sleep on and the rooms were so spacious. We were close to the clubhouse even though we didn't use the pool. Also, the kitchen was so well stocked and included a drip coffeemaker and a kurieg. We all love our coffee! I am planning on bring a group of friends back next year for a getaway. Also both of my sister in laws want to come back and bring their husbands. Thank you for your beautiful place!

3 day stay

House could use a good cleaning. Ceiling fans were very dirty. Sleeps eight but only 6 dining room chairs. There were 8 of us so a tad small for 8 adults to all have seating in main living room area. But all in all we had a good 3 days.

Great family getaway

Beautiful home. Loved the fact there were 3.5 bathrooms for our group. The house was clean except we did need to clean the coffee pot (very gross) Also, whirlpool bottom needs a magic eraser scrubbing, so I did not use .The yard and porch and great and large. Wish it wasn't so hot, unfortunately we didn't get to utilize. Temp is controlled. First night upstairs was very warm even with fans. A degree or two cooler at nt would be nice. Some new pillows in bedrooms are needed, several are flat as a board. Updated carpet , couches and beds are comfy. Thank you!

Property was very nice and had all the amenities. We cooked the majority of the time, and only went out to eat downtown, once. Everything was readily available in the house. The check-in process was a little hectic;, but, everything ran smooth after that. There were instructions on how and where to throw out the garbage, which was very helpful. All in all, a really good get away.

Great Weekend Getaway

This great location and place for weekend gateway with small group of friends. We did not get chance to use the community recreational area. Wish it has a outside hot tub would have been great during winter snow falls.
