Oceanfront at Sugar Beach Resort - #226

Our ocean front condo has unobstructed views of the ocean with the islands of Kahoolawe and Molokini in the distance. SBR#226 is in the middle of the second floor of Plantation Building at Sugar Beach. The Resort has large, free, off-street parking areas with easy access to condos via stairs or elevators.

The beach is just steps away from the condo. The lanai overlooks the beach - has a table with 2 chairs and a chaise lounge. The lanai is great place to enjoy a meal, relax and view awesome sunsets - and whale watch during whale season (usually December through March).

Condo sleeps a maximum of 2 people with a comfortable Cal-King bed. (No sleeper sofa.)

Our condo was remodeled in late 2018 - just before Hawaii was closed due to COVID. The kitchen now has granite counter tops, new cabinets, new range and new washer/dryer. All floor coverings were replaced with vinyl plank flooring throughout the condo. The bathroom has granite countertops, new cabinets and new lighting. We continually strive to have our condo in top-notch condition for our returning and first-time guests. The condo is decorated in a tropical, Hawaiian motif.

Our completely furnished condo includes: Central A/C, dishwasher, microwave; washer/dryer, free long-distance phone calls within the U.S. and Canada, free internet access; in-condo safe; cable TV in the living room and bedroom; Blu-ray DVD, stereo with CD and Bluetooth. Also included: all bedding, towels, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, hair dryer, etc.

Sugar Beach Resort is located on the sunny south-central side of Maui and is about 25 minutes from the Kahului airport. The Resort has a large heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, a large covered cabana, indoor sauna, 6 gas barbecues with awesome ocean views while you BBQ, and a small putting green, Dina's sandwich shop is also on the property. Also on the property, is an excellent Activities Center (Maui Sights & Treasures) where you can book your Maui sight-seeing activities conveniently. Plus golf courses, restaurants, markets, shopping and sight-seeing are just minutes away.

Join our many guests who return to SBR 226 to relax and enjoy the spectacular views from our direct beachfront location. Experience the gentle sound of waves breaking along the miles of sandy beach while enjoying all the comforts of home.

Sugar Beach is one of Maui's best beaches for strolling, sunning and swimming -- and it's right outside your door!

Check-in: 3 p.m. -- Check-out: 11 a.m.
Maximum occupancy: 2 people
4 Night minimum.

Daily rate discounts are available and are automatically discounted for:
7 or more days (rate shown includes the 5% discount)
28 or more days (rate shown includes the 10% discount)

Reservations and payments are through VRBO via credit card. A completed rental agreement is required to complete reservation. Rental agreement to be received by owner within14 days of reservation request. Full prepayment is due 90 days before arrival.

Excellent apartment right on the water

This is an extremely well-maintained property that is in a typical older building right on the beach. The available space is very cleverly used and everything is labeled and in full working order. We loved hearing the wave crash and having to just step outside the property to walk on the beach go for a swim.

Right on the beach

Lovely place to stay! We loved the balcony with a beach view and had breakfast every morning. The beach is a very short walk and great place to swim. The place was very clean and tidy, check in was easy. We will definitely stay again the next time we vacation in Maui.

Great Maui Vacation

Turtle Beach Resort is in an ideal location with a calm, lovely beach and beautiful pool area. The unit itself was exactly as promised... providing very clean, comfortable accommodations and an absolutely beautiful view of the ocean. The owners were very helpful with suggestions about what to do and where to go and were an absolute pleasure to deal with.I would definitely stay there again and recommend it without hesitation.

Great Location

The condo is in a perfect location to see and do all things on Maui. It is such fun to sit on the lanai and be so close to the ocean. The condo is clean and well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay in paradise.

Wonderful Location

The condo was perfect for us! We had a direct view of the ocean and it was only steps away. We enjoyed mornings with the ocean breeze and listening to the waves. Hosts were great in checkin in! Shopping, dining and site seeing was all within 10-20 minutes away! Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed at Sugar Beach #226 for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. The resort is located in a very convenient location, with epic ocean view. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made us feel welcomed. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with a private lanai overlooking the ocean. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and peaceful Hawaiian getaway.

Multiple time visitor - always perfect.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of spending three vacations in this unit - over 24 nights. With travel as challenging as it can be these days, it’s nice to know that you don’t have to worry about having clean, safe, and beautiful lodging waiting for you. A five star rating is well deserved for this property.

Excellent Condo

The condo was very nice and well equipped. Very nice view and right on the beach. The beach is also quiet. We had it pretty much to ourselves on the days we spent in the water. This is a nice central location. I highly recommend staying here. It was perfect for us.

Beautiful Views

We had a great time! We've been to the resort many times. We love the location, how close it is to the water and the ocean front rooms. We loved sitting on the Lanai looking at the water and walking the beach. I really appreciated the communication and information from Barbara.

Great unit, great location

This accommodation is wonderful. Very clean, plenty of amenities, very comfortable, nice air conditioning. Incredible ocean/coastal view. Most of all, we appreciated that the unit is located right on a desirable section of beach. It is also very well-located relative to all of the fun things to do when exploring the island; other coastal towns seem to be further away from many of the island’s main day trips/hikes/destinations.

Great Condo

This condo is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked, which made cooking some meals in pleasant. The condo/Lanai has an excellent ocean view and there is a nice beach right in front of the unit. Barbara was very easy to communicate with and answered any questions promptly, including restaurant and activity recommendations on the island. We plan to stay here again!

Simply Wonderful

The unit is beautifully updated throughout. All the necessary things are there for you including well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, beach chairs, etc. Views from the lanai can't beat it. And the owners seemed to really care that you enjoyed your stay in their unit. Would love to come back and stay again.

Great home in paradise

We had an awesome stay at 226 Sugar Beach! Condo was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed plus more and was literally right on the ocean! We enjoyed breakfast every morning and ended our day sitting on the balcony listening to the waves crash! The bed was comfortable and there were many amenities to use that made the stay so wonderful. From a well stocked kitchen, a safe, starter supplies that were plentiful to beach supplies, we had everything we needed. Don’t hesitate to book this unit! You will have a fabulous time!

Oceanfront Paradise

Sugar Beach 226 is lovely, and we would happily stay there again! The space is well-appointed, beautiful and comfortable, and the lanai is wonderful for watching the crashing waves and the sunset. It’s within 15 minutes of all the shops and restaurants in Kihei as well. Communication with the owners was excellent and any minor issues were handled in very quick fashion. We highly recommend 226!

Our Sugar Beach condo is not "just a rental" - it's our second home. Our permanent home is in the mountains of Arizona in the Old West town of Prescott. We are original Sugar Beach Resort owners (1977), and we love spending as much time there as we can. We love sitting on the lanai at breakfast and at sunset. During the day we are always outside enjoying the water, sun and walks on the beach. We can't seem to get enough of being there - even after 42+ years!

While visiting Maui with our two young daughters years ago, we saw Sugar Beach Resort before it was completed. We toured the facility, loved the beach, the amazing views and realized that this would be a great vacation home for us. The rest is history! SBR 226 has been our home-away-from-home for many years now and we are always eager to return to it.
