Excellent choice! Close enough that major attractions are a short drive, but far enough to be away from crowds. Beach is just across the street! Clean, spacious, quiet. Washer and dryer were a plus I never knew I needed on vacation! The loft bedroom with it's own balcony gave the teens their own space. Lots of closet space. Kitchen was ready to go. Beach chairs and pool noodles were tucked in a closet too! If available, we will come back!

Myrtle Beach Condo

The location was ideal since it was just north of all the traffic in Myrtle Beach, a one or two minute drive from probably 20 restaurants and also just across the street from the beach. The condition and layout of the condo were also great. There was plenty of room for four adults and two kids.

Great location!

Really good location. Only criticism would be it needs some “deep” cleaning, a little updating, and the check in/check out the nft needs to be reviewed for errors. Had trouble getting through to front desk everytime we tried. It was still a great place and we had an awesome vacation.

309 needs a serious updating!!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit appears to need a complete updating and paint. Slider doors wouldn’t open and maintenance was unable to fix. Dryer in unit took two cycles to dry clothes. Floors were dirty and vents all had black dust and mold on them. Third year staying at Anchorage and 309 was definitely the worst unit we have ever stayed in. Looks like they haven’t put any money into it in a while. Elevator door kept get stuck and the outside of building could also use a refreshing. Was not happy of the week we stayed 8/24 - 8/31

Labor Day Weekend

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a wonderful vacation. I gave high marks for most categories. The master bedroom bathroom was the only disappointment. Maintenance apparently attempted to repair a hole underneath the toilet paper holder but was unsuccessful. The hole was still there and the compound they used to try to fill the hole had run down the wall and dried in large clumps. It was very unsightly and should have been repaired prior to guests checking in. Also the tub was stopped up but when I called it was repaired immediately and the toilet ran constantly, you had to shake the handle several times to get it to stop. I would like to see the bathrooms updated in the near future. Other than that we had a wonderful time and I love the location and the unit.

Lots of things that was not the best for this price could have been a better trip

First of all the outside is carpet for the most part so when the kids would walk down to the pool or over to the beach as most kids do they go barefoot and the carpet would be soaked and smells like mold gross the elevator smelled like cat pee the balcony’s are not safe and very small and the chairs on the balcony was made out of pvc pipe the table was chipped and not cleaned there is no buggies to get your stuff to the room as in suit cases food etc you have to Carrie by hand and the elevator is so small that my kids didn’t feel comfortable being in there so they would take the steps the pool closed at 10 and there was no inside pool so if it rained you just didn’t do much when we signed the contract you were allowed to smoke on the balcony but just a few days before our trip the HOA stated that you had to come sit in the parking lot and smoke yes I am a smoker and no it was not fun coming down to smoke after dark scary we were on the 3 rd floor long walk to get to smoke the rules are kids can not be loud no running jumpy or basically no playing the most crazy thing ever you only have a few towels and we had to wash towels everyday not something I wanted to do on my vacation the neighborhood was ok but this is definitely not a condo this is a apartment complex the 2 Tuesday of every month they have someone spray for bugs the guy was coming into our room without even knocking thank god. My husband was awake he asked the guy to come back later cause we were all asleep I have pics but can’t seem to find anywhere to post oh well on that now the worse part of it all the door had been kicked in before you can tell by the way it looked I have looked at many places and I know when a door has been kicked in ummm ok safety first is not the greatest here the best part of the whole trip was the beach not far to walk and you could still hear the waves from the room would I stay here again nope not on your life worse place I have ever stayed and the team that you book with is not I mean not what do ever great to work with they are short manners and they act as if they don’t care how you feel what you think as long as they are getting paid I would not recommend this place to anyone

We are sorry you had such a rough experience at the Anchorage. The smoking rule did change suddenly when we had two fires that almost burned the building down from someone throwing their cigaretts down on in the mulch beds. The HOA has no put tables up in the parking lot for the smokers to sit arond. We do post in the condos, check in letters and contract about the pest control company coming in the second Tuesday of every month. This company has been servicing the Anchorage for 41 years and does knock twice then enters the condo. They do not start until 9:30-10am. The Anchorage I & II is a great place to bring your family and children. We do ask though that the children do not run up and down the hallways. The hallways carry noise into the condos and the running is amplified. The pool is closed at 10pm as it is located in the middle of the building and noise carries to the balconies and condos. We do want to be respectful of all of our guest and feel 10pm a good time to stop pool activites. There are carts to help carry your luggge up two very normal size elevators. We provide plenty of towels and linens for the condo and a full size washer and dryer to clean throughout the week. If anyone wants extra towels or fresh towels daily we can provide that for an additional fee. This is one way we try to help keep cost down for our guest. We have been managing the Anchorage I & II for 43 years and care deeply about the happiness and well being of all of our guest. Anchorage Rentals

Family Vacation Getaway

The positives; great location just across the street from the beach; very close to golfing, shopping and restaurants; and with each family staying in their own units, it was easy to spend time together and then retreat to our own space. The negatives; our rental (#309) was in need of significant upkeep. Door didn’t close properly; the washer and dryer were in need of repair; and there was a lack of kitchen utensils. I realize that rentals take a beating each season but this suggested someone about to sell the unit. Also, and I understand that people are on vacation, but there was significant noise at the pool late at night. I agree that the responsibility falls on the parents, but there should be some accountability.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was extremely dirty. Nothing was swept. There was sand everywhere when we got there. We had to clean it ourselves. The furniture was horrid and worn out and uncomfortable the dishes still had food attached to them so we had to clean things before we used them. Our tub drains were super slow. The ice machine didn't look like it worked so we never used it. The elevator reeked of dog pee. This was by far the worst stay at the Anchorage and I'm not sure we will be back the back of the remote was missing it's cover and the batteries kept falling out. Couldn't change the channels half the time on the TV. The tv in the loft was impossible to get stations and when you did when had to leave the TV on to make sure you didn't loose the signal.

Great location and comfortable accommodations

This was my kids first trip to the ocean they loved this condo. It had everything we needed for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. The only thing I would change would be to allow for early check in and or late check out to accommodate for flight times. It is difficult to be from out of town and have nowhere to go. Everything was as it was described on the listing and we had an excellent vacation!

Reviewer Comments: Very upset,air did not keep the place cool, bathtub was clogged and both bathtubs had mold,no top sheets,bedspread was dirty,carpet was filthy,furniture was filthy,floor had crumbs on it when we got there,there was food under the glass on the table and needed light bulbs We stayed there the year before not in the same condo and it was great decided to bring our family this year and was highly dissatisfied

William we are sorry the condo was not better prepared for you. Our housekeeper didn't put the top sheet on one of the beds because it was stained. When she returned with another sheet she was met at the door and was told you didn't need anything. Not speaking very good English she didn't understand and didn't communicate properly. I have looked back at our maintenance records and do not see where it was reported that the tubs were slow to drain. We do rely on our guest to let us know if something isn't working properly so we can come and attend to any needs. Please know a simple phone call could have resolved all of your issues. Family getaway

The condo was in a good location and in decent condition. We had an issue with the address initially but were able to call and talk with Lisa who was very helpful and got us the correct address. During our stay we had issues with dryer not working. The maintenance man came and worked on it and made it better but overall the dryer was old and not working very well. There was some recent water damage in the bedroom with the king bed and there was a musty smell due to it which was the most concerning issue we had. The property and the pool was clean and well maintained.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo unit was truly facing the ocean, so that was nice. I have mixed reviews and give it 4 stars instead of five because I am very persnickety about bathroom and bed cleanliness in hotels and the like - and those were the areas that I had my biggest stressors at this rental. It was smaller than it appears in the pictures and what I imagined it would be. Overall, it was clean, but needed a lot of dusting. It seems as though someone was in the place right before we arrived. There was a dirty towel still hanging on the shower rod, the beds smelled like someone who was not clean just got up from there and the comforters needed to be washed. The staff very quickly had someone to change the sheets but we were stuck with the comforters. We ended up buying linen. Our CD player was in the cabinet but it was not hooked up. Someone quickly came and connected it for us. The kitchen was clean and no complaints there. At the time we were there, there was some construction outside so it was a little noisy in the morning. The staff was quick to try and remedy the issues. So, that's why I say... it was okay. I hope you have a different experience, but I would not "not" recommend them.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time in Myrtle Beach and staying at Anchorage! Our condo was great! Location to the beach, shopping, and dining was exceptional within only a few short miles! The condo was absolutely perfect for the 5 of us! The only reason I gice the property a 4 and not a 5 was because the dryer wasn't heating well and it took 2-3 cycles to dry a load of clothes. Likely a clogged vent or something but, nevertheless, took a lot of time.

We love to cook our own meals and with this kitchen it was easy. I give thiscondo more than 5 stars!

Reviewer Comments: My family and I had never rented thi type of condo before, but as we walked into the room and looked through the expansive patio doors leading onto the corutyard, WOW can only express a small portion of what we took in. The place was clean and spacious the veiw was spectacular the staff thatwe interacted with were very polite and very helpfull.There was some maintenance work being done on the complex and these people were polite and tried theirbest to keep the noise level down and not disturb us; They could have waited till somewhere around noon to start work but what the heck they need to make a living!!!! LOL
