Cozy Ground Floor Condo at Kihei Akahi C-108. A/C to be installed soon!


Air conditioning will be installed as soon as more inventory is available on Island. I am very conscientious of climate change, but the increasing temperature and the comfort of my guests influenced my decision to install a/c. My condo at Kihei Akahi C-108 is not just a vacation rental, it is my second home. I personally visit several times a year to make sure it is properly prepared for your enjoyment. Tropical style louvered windows let in 100% of the breeze from the Trade winds and offer a view of the garden area. The bedroom does not receive direct sun so it stays cool with a ceiling fan and windows. One of Kihei's best beaches is located across the street. Turtles swim close to shore as they feed among the lava rocks. There are tidal pools to explore and great snorkeling from the shore. In the winter months whales can be seen breaching as you relax in your beach chair. Return to the beach in the evening for a spectacular sunset. There is really no need to visit other beaches as Kamaole II has it all and the convenience of being close to the condo.

Enjoy the friendly atmosphere and beautifully landscaped gardens of Kihei Akahi from the private lanai. Palm trees growing next to the lanai gently sway in the tropical breeze. There are 2 swimming pools and BBQ areas.

Shopping and numerous restaurants are within walking distance. Mahogany and bamboo furnishings have been carefully selected from a local furniture store to make your stay a pleasant one. A well-planned, fully-equipped kitchen will make cooking seem effortless. Relax at night in a very comfortable, queen-size, solid mahogany platform bed with a Tempur-pedic mattress topper. A fabricated marble shower was made by a local designer in Haiku. There are always changes being made to the condo to improve the decor. This is a must see condo. Smoking is not allowed in the condo or on the lanai.

Keep the property and all furnishings in good order, guests must pay for any damage and lost items. All beach items MUST be returned to condo.
Quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am are strictly enforced. Bring your own shower gel/soap since I do not furnish it due to possible skin allergies.
All guests must register with the front desk ASAP after arrival to sign paperwork. Register your rental car at the same time.

Kathy was welcoming. The amenities were generally fine. But we would not rent this unit again for two reasons, lack of AC and hallway noise. Regardless of Kathy's assurances, which I bought into, that open windows and fans would provide cooling, they did not !! With temps in the 90s each day the unit was hot day and night !! Sleeping was very uncomfortable. Also with the bedroom windows open to the outside hallway and elevator lobby, the noise repeatedly woke us up. We spent most of our time with family in another unit with AC. We would not rent this unit again and will not recommend it to others.

Good quiet location in south Maui

Nice and clean condo, very good location, just across the beach and centrally located for all south maui activities. Only thing we missed was AC in the bedroom, missed it during the reservation.

Lovely stay

Condo was very clean and had all the kitchen essentials needed. Coffee maker guide was not for the current coffee maker (it’s for the one in the lanai??) Flooring was very nice and furniture was comfortable, including the sofa bed. We knew there would be no air conditioning but description stated if blinds were kept 3/4 down and louvres closed it would be fine as unit did not get much sunlight. It was uncomfortably hot, especially our first night. Sun does shine on lanai in late afternoon. Ample things to take to beach but every beach chair has a broken strap to keep locked up when folded which was a pain to transport but at least we had them! We did have problems with the code not always working, so you would have to try a few times until it stopped working period. We tried the property owner and left a message. We then texted the cleaner who helped us out. Minor blip that was dealt with quickly. Overall we had a good stay. Mahalo

Great location

The location of this property is amazing. 2 minute walk from the beach. Easy access to lots of restaurants and other beaches. Loved that there were beach chairs and other beach necessities available. Easy check in processes and a parking stall. Air conditioning would make it 5 stars.

Great location, beautiful property at a great price.

This is our 4th stay at this property but our first in this suite so we knew what to expect. The suite was very welcoming and stocked with the basic soaps, and supplies needed to keep it clean during our stay. We would have enjoyed having an air conditioner but made do with the ceiling fans and took advantage of the natural breeze. .We enjoyed our stay and thank our host for the opportunity to use her suite.

Great getaway

Great condo in the perfect location, 2 minute walk to the beach. The beach across the stress is one of my favorites in Kihei where turtles swam past us nearly every time we were in the water. Not to mention next to good restaurants and shops.

Lovely condo

Condo was great, bed is extra soft and pullout couch is comfortable. Unit doesn’t have AC but it didn’t get too hot with fans or windows open. Well equipped with towels, beach wagon, coffee maker, dishwasher & laundry soap, utensils , bowls, bags etc. Perfect location. The complex maintains the bbq and pool areas very well. Only negatives which albeit didn’t detract from the trip: frying pans aren’t great and would have been nice to have some seasonings (not a big deal if you’re not planning on cooking), and the neighbour across the lawn in building B is a killjoy especially if you have kids (not this condo owners fault)

Wonderful condo to stay at

Good but not Fantastic

This property is as listed. It is right across the road from Kamaole II beach. Interaction with the owner, cleaner and the office was great. Two areas that need improvement are: 1) The bed sucks. That is unless you want a really soft bed. This bed has 2 layers of foam on top of the mattress. Some will love it. We want a firm bed, so we didn't like it. 2) The noise. Not the owner's fault. However you hear whatever the neighbors are doing. We are right beside the mail boxes. The mail boxes make quite the noise when opened and closed. The garbage is about 2 suites away. They pick up the garbage between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. If you are a really sound sleeper you might not hear them. Overall this is a nice place. We have stayed in a studio suite before. It is really nice to have the bedroom and especially the laundry team in the suite. Bouquet to the owner and cleaner: We had an issue with thhe sewer one day. (Someone upstairs flushed something they should not have) I texted the cleaner and owner. They were on it right away. Thanks for the prompt response.

Family stay in Kihei

My wife and I have been to this exact condo twice before but this time we did a family trip. We stayed here with our 14 and 11 year old. The condo was great for us. Our eldest kids and grandkids stayed in a condo 5 doors down so it was nice to be close to everyone. There was plenty of space for us, Wi-Fi and everything worked great. The condo is a very short walk to the beach and shops as well as a few restaurants. Kathy the owner was great with responding and notifying us of anything we needed to know. We even accidentally locked ourselves out one night. We locked the front screen which we didn’t do again and shut the glass sliding door leading to the lanai. When we were gone the pull down blinds got wedged between the slider and the wall. We couldn’t open it and the office was closed so we resigned that we might have to bunk with our eldest kid in their condo until the front office opened up the next morning but i went around to the bedroom window and open the shutters so wind would flow through stronger in hopes to dislodge the pull down shutter and 20 minutes later it worked. Long story if you stay here don’t lock the front door screen lol. Kathy was so good with us despite the late night texts and calls. Thank you again Kathy for our third stay at your wonderful condo.

Fantastic, two thumbs up!

Excellent property, photos don’t do it justice. Nice community, not a party spot, great snorkeling within walking distance. From property owner to security at the complex everyone was kind and helpful. Location made a good starting point for driving to all of the different areas of the island.

Great condo!

This condo is located in a great spot. Beach is right across the street and shopping/restaurants are in the vicinity and walkable. There are two pools which is a welcomed addition. Condo itself is a great size for a couple people. Pull out couch for additional guests. Kitchen is well equipped with necessities and basic condiments left by other guests. Quiet through the day and night. Opening both lanai sliding door and front door let’s a great cross breeze enter to cool suite down. Warm at night but an air circulator is available for moving the air around. Comfortable furniture (especially the recliner!). Great view to outdoor area full of beautiful trees and foliage. Office staff are helpful and polite.

Great location with all the amenities!

Perfect location across from the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Property and gardens well maintained. Condo was well stocked with all beach items, kitchen necessities, plenty of towels and bedding, as well as numerous electrical outlets. The host had excellent communication! It could use a better fan in the living room and a new mattress. There were two cushy, memory foam toppers on the bed, but the mattress dipped in the middle so that didn’t help much. Overall, a great value and I would stay here again.

I purchased my condo in Maui several years ago because of my love of the ocean. The beach across the street is convenient and has some of the best snorkeling. I have been snorkeling in several exotic places, but Hawaii is my favorite. My hobby is photography and I took all the photos of the various Hawaiian islands that displayed throughout the condo. A visit to Maui is refreshing any time of the year, but I really enjoy escaping our winter and spring blizzards in Denver, Colorado.

I chose to buy at Kihei Akahi because it was recommended to me as a great resort. I enjoy the variety of people who reside at and visit Kihei Akahi. It is conveniently located across the street from the beach. My unit is located away from the noise of Kihei Road. I love the southern part of Maui because the people are friendly and it is close to shopping, Wailea and Makena beaches.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

My most memorable time at my condo is eating breakfast out on the lanai and watching the turtle doves. I love my kitchen with it's many small appliances. I have enjoyed furnishing my condo with items I have collected from Denver and hand carried in my luggage. Decorating my condo and designing the kitchen have been challenging and fun for me. Solid wood furniture made from bamboo and mahogany create a tropical atmosphere. I am constantly thinking of more decorating ideas and will be adding more to the unit. My daughter is an interior designer and has given me lots of ideas. I have struggled with the idea of installing air conditioning and have decided not to. I am trying to be environmentally friendly. Fans and open windows keep it cool. The condo gets a great breeze from the trade winds.
