Home Away from Home, totally renovated.

We have fully renovated the unit as of December 2013, and decorated it in a Hawaiian motif. We've installed new all wood cherry kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, appliances, and kitchen utensils. Along with new paint throughout the condo. Both bathrooms have been upgraded along with most of the furnishings.

The Condo is on the second floor easily cooled by the trade winds, it's quite private tucked away in the corner of the resort in building #8 apartment 202. The condo is spacious at 818 sq ft and the lanai is 166 sq ft, the majority of lanai's in Kamaole Sands are only 69 sq ft. It is away from the noise of the inner court and South Kihei Road. We're at the east end of the building, very close to the stairs and far enough away from the elevator so you are not disturbed by anyone coming or going. Your assigned parking spot is nearby.

The unit has free WiFi, cable TV, a blue ray player, and CD/FM stereo for entertainment, along with a lending library of books and games. It's fully furnished with a 52 inch ceiling fan and A/C in the living/dining area.

The bedroom has a queen size mattress (new in March 2021), portable air conditioner to keep you cool at night, along with a 52 inch ceiling fan, 28 inch flat screen TV, and a safe for your valuables. The fully upgraded master bath has new cabinets with granite top, and a full tub/shower.

There is beach friendly tile throughout the condo, the living area has A/C as well, a new sofa sleeper, 50 inch LCD flat screen TV, cable TV, and a CD/FM stereo.

The guest bathroom has a new glass shower enclosure, new cabinets with granite top and the washer/dryer nearby.

The bright kitchen is newly renovated with all wood cherry cabinets, granite counter tops, and a large island with bar stools. It's equipped with new appliances, range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, many cooking utensils, and other accessories along with a variety of spices, etc. The outdoor barbecues are just a short walk away. The dining area is well lit and has a new rattan dining set.

The condo has a large private lanai, 166 sq. ft. which easily accommodates 4 or more people, the majority of lanais in Kamaole Sands are only 69 sq. ft. From the lanai you get a view of the volcano Haleakela and a peek-a-boo view if the ocean. It's a perfect place to enjoy a great cup of Hawaiian coffee in the morning or to enjoy the afternoon sun. The lanai easily accommodates a family of 4+ for meals and has a cabinet stocked with beach chairs, umbrella, mats, coolers, and kids toys for your use during your time at Kamaole 3 beach just a three to four minute walk from your condo door. Unfortunately due to liability issues we are unable to supply any water-sport gear.

A one weeks supply of laundry, and dish washer soap is provided along with toilet paper, when this runs out you are responsible to provide your own.

If you decide to stay remember the morning information session by the pool after you arrive, and the Mai Tai party on Wednesday's from 3-4:45 pm.

Family Beach Vacation

The grounds are geeat and right across from Kamaole Beach 3. The hosts were easily accesible when we needed some help getting into the condo. The kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated and used the beach chairs, umbrella, and beach toys almost daily. One thing we wished was better was an upgrade to the TV which is not a smart TV and there was no access to the mentioned mo ie collection and althought the lanai is larger, the view is of the condos across rhe way. ac

Well maintained condo. Great location and price

We've stayed at this condo before and enjoyed it again for a month-long stay. Had everything we needed. Newly added bedroom a/c was an extra convenience for napping at a hot time of day.

Lovely property amazing amenities

The condo was very nice but the resort amenities were amazing! Lush landscaping, lovely pool and clean gym. So close to the beach. We had everything we needed!

beautiful apartment, excellently equipped with everything you need. Unfortunately, the sofa is very old and after 10 nights our backs were completely destroyed. The AC in the living room very noisy, but luckily we didn't have to use it. Great access to the beach.

Beautiful condo, in quiet area of lovely a resort complex

This condo is very nicely maintained with quality remodel features (granite, stainless appliance, comfortable bed). We stayed for one month, and had everything we needed. We've stayed at several other units within KamSands and especially liked the quieter relaxed location of Building 8. We hope to return.

An OK Kam Sands condo

As advertised and expected. Building 8 is upper most and along a road separating this location from another condo complex to the South. If you’re wanting something closer to the pool then other buildings (2, 3, 4,, etc) may be more to your liking. (We spend ALL day either at the beach or doing activities so are pretty much using it for meals and sleeping.) This unit is well appointed but there are some aspects which could be improved. The bedroom faces East so without blockout curtains some may need an eye mask for the 5AM sunrise. The windows in that same room also face the smoking area and depending on the direction of the breeze the smell of cigarettes can be annoying if the windows are open. Lacking AC in that room you really need to keep them open to keep a breeze moving through the condo. On the other end of the unit (living/dining room and kitchen) there’s a security light out on the lanai which is moving detecting. As such, it goes on and off every 10-15 seconds throughout the night. No biggee unless you’re also using the hideaway bed in the sofa. Again, blockout curtains would be a nice addition. Without them most would need to go with the eye mask routine. All in all, a good place and fairly priced.

Comforts of home

This is a great location for all things in Kihei. Short walk to Kam 3 Beach, and all sorts of fun activities. The kitchen is well equipped which was better than any other I've stayed. Hosts were responsive and accommodating. I'd stay here again for sure.

Fabulous getaway in the cutest condo

We had a fantastic time staying at this condo. The location was ideal and really attributed to us packing in the most adventure and relaxation during our stay. The beach is literally 2 minutes away and waking up to the birds singing on the balcony every morning was a dream come true. The condo was clean, comfortable and fully stocked. We will definitely be back!!

Maui Condo rental

Just a few points and suggestions. Please have the floors washed before your guests arrive. Our socks and soles of slippers were black from the dirt! The bedroom in the front of the condo never cooled as the unit air conditioner was located in the living room next to the patio and on a timer. My husband lost 1/2 lung to Lung cancer and it was very difficult for him sleeping in a hot room. The sleeper sofa for him was not a comfortable replacement. Had an issue with the TV not working. Carol the property manager wanted ME to call the tv service. She finally came out and the tv service told her there were bad cables and would send them to her. She Did manage to get the tv working through a variety of manual directions. Everything else was great.

Great location for work/play

My partner and I stayed at this unit for a little over 3 weeks. There were no surprises at all during our stay there--everything described in the listing is accurate. The location is wonderful, the kitchen was well-appointed, the beds were incredibly comfortable. As described, there is no A/C in the bedroom, but personally my partner and I did not find this to be an issue, despite the fact that we were visiting from the colder Pacific Northwest where we do have A/C. Communicating with Wayne was pretty straightforward. He answered my (many) questions prior to the stay, and on the instance that we called we were able to resolve the issue quickly (the issue was my fault). My partner and I were both working remotely during our stay. We are both engineers and had no issues with the wifi. Working from the roomy balcony was especially nice in the morning. I looked forward to working out there a lot and certainly miss it now that I'm back home. However, wifi access from the room may be challenging, likely due to all the concrete. Imo this was inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. Cell signal can be tricky from the unit, and you may have to step outside to the balcony in order to take a phone call. The quick solution here is simply to take calls using data, and in that case you won't have any issues. Definitely made use of the beach chairs and beach umbrella! In the very hot tropical sunshine, having these around was pretty much key to really being able to take advantage of the beach, which was literally a stone's throw away. All in all it was a pleasant stay, and I was sorry to leave. I would stay here again if I get the chance. :)

Great home away from home

The rental arrangements were straight forward, owner was prompt with communication. On site manager Carol was very accessible and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and some basic ingredients and seasonings were there to use. The condo is in a nice location directly across from a public beach in the lovely Kihei area. Greatly appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, towels and coolers provided with the condo. Would definitely return to this resort and condo again!

Great spot in a great area

Really loved everything about this. The only small criticism I have is that, if it's hot out, it could be quite toasty in the bedroom since the A/C is at the opposite end of the place. It could use its own window unit. Otherwise, superb.

Amazing Kihei Condo

Everything you need to enjoy your stay in Maui. Starting with booking and communication, the process was quick and easy. Checking in was also straightforward and smooth even arriving late in the evening from the airport. The condo was as described with kitchen and bathrooms fully stocked. The best part was a few beach accessories like chairs, sun umbrella, and kids toys, which made it feel like a home and saved the additional costs for items that would get left behind otherwise. Would for sure stay again.

Great location with fantastic snorkeling nearby

This property is located across the street from one of the best beaches for snorkeling I have been to. You can walk or park for free in the lot. Lots of great restaurants in the area too. Be sure to check out kihei cafe and 5 palms restaurant during your stay. It’s about a 45 min drive to Kaanapali, but not nearly as much tourist congestion in this area. The beds were ok and it was a bit hot in the bedroom as previous guests had mentioned. For the price and location, this place was perfect for us though. The pool was fantastic and the bbq area worked out well for the sliders we made one night. The check in process was easy even though there was a slight hiccup, but Wayne corrected it immediately. Wayne and barb pulled out all the stops as far as providing the amenities. Their place has several small coolers, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach toys for kids and board games and dvd’s to use while relaxing in the condo. The kitchen comes with all the necessities and the washer and dryer were great. It allowed us to pack less and wash clothes midweek. Communication with Wayne and barb was easy. They answered all my questions prior to our arrival. Thank you for the fantastic stay in your condo. I would definitely recommend it and hope to visit again!

We are a semi retired couple living in the country 50 km (30mi) south of Edmonton Alberta Canada.

While vacationing at Kamaole Sands in March 2012 we fell in love with Maui and this resort so we decided to purchase a condo here in order to enjoy all that Maui has to offer more often.

The amenities at the Kamaole Sands Resort are some of the best and well cared for in Kihei, maybe the whole island of Maui. Over the past 10 years we have traveled a lot to the Caribbean and Central America, Maui tops all those destinations. The one bedroom condos here are spacious, bright, and ours has a large lanai (166 sq. ft. ) so more than 2 people can be very comfortable on it. We looked at many complexes in Kihei before purchasing a condo and in our opinion none compared to Kamaole Sands.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our condo is secluded, relaxing, and quiet, on the second floor in building #8 away from the street noise of South Kihei Road and the busy parts of the resort. Being across the street from Kamaole 3 Beach Park is one of the best features of our unit, a 3 to 4 minute walk gets you to a safe sandy bottom beach with a lifeguard, it's great for swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, taking long walks, or just laying in the sun. Kamaole 3 Beach Park also has bathrooms, showers, swings for the kids, plenty of shade, picnic tables, outdoor grills and acres of grass to enjoy.

Just a short walk from the resort are great restaurants and shops, a short drive away are the golf courses and upscale shops at Wailea. A 20 minute drive gets you to Kahului whether it's to and from the airport, or finding most anything you need in the small shops, Saturday swap meet, or big box stores like Costco and Home Depot.

There are so many things to do on the island of Maui it's hard to list them all. Hawaiian luau's, pedal biking down the volcano, zip lining, helicopter sight seeing, whale watching, snorkeling, swimming with turtles, and driving the road to Hana are but a few. Our condo is centrally located and works great for a home base to enjoy it all. Everything you need for a great holiday, and great weather too, our condo at Kamaole Sands Resort and the island of Maui has it all.
