This breathtaking 7000+ sq. ft. estate features 6 bedroom suites and 6 1/2 baths located directly on the ocean. Villa Cascada offers the best of indoor, outdoor living with a gourmet eat-in kitchen, large dining room, living room, powder room, and a 2 tiered pool overlooking the ocean. The spectacular oceanfront master suite balcony is the perfect private retreat where you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun go down as people and boats drift by. You can also enjoy the same beautiful sunset while relaxing by the pool or dining outside under the gazebo. A maid and grounds keeper Monday through Saturday keep Villa Cascada in pristine shape. The poolside patio and BBQ area is the ideal location for a family gathering, a beachfront wedding or simply a quite place to relax and listen to the ocean waves as they break on the beach front of you. A few yards outside the private gate, Tamarindo beach offers some of the best swimming or surfing in the world. Take a 5 minute stroll down the beach into town for access to great restaurants, bars, shopping, art galleries and sightseeing. Plentiful wildlife abounds with exotic birds, large iguanas, and families of howler monkeys living in the tropical trees.
Costa Rica is the perfect place for outdoor adventures. Our house manager at Villa Cascada will greet you upon arrival and help you arrange surfing lessons, sport fishing, sunset cruises, zip-line tours, horseback riding, golf outings, ATV excursion, trips to volcanos, a massage therapist... just about anything you could want, including a private chef to cook for you. The house was magnificent. Right on the ocean as promised. Lots of help if we needed it and asked for it. Rooms were large and fitted our3 families beautifuly. Close to grocery stores and shopping and rental surfbords. We all loved it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Family vacation

We had so much fun due to the location on the beach of the house. The pool was beautiful and Inez cooked great breakfasts for us.

The location of this property is great, right on the beach, and it is decorated very tastefully. But functionally, it is deplorable. First, one toilet wouldn't flush, and the master toilet leaked. Both were repaired. Also, Immediately upon our arrival, the door hinge on the tall glassware cabinet failed. The loose door could also have caused injury, as it is a huge door. Then, almost all of of the tile on one wall of the apartment shower fell off. Luckily no one was in the shower, as someone could have been seriously injured by the falling tiles. In the kitchen, the stovetop temperature controls did not work. There was warm and maximum hot, nothing between, making it very difficult to cook. The dishwasher did not work properly either. We rinsed the dishes well before loading, and most still had food residue. Granted, Monday through Thursday, the nice maid, Ines, washed them by hand, but she was off Friday. She did not speak any English, luckily we speak a little Spanish. But if you don't, any communication is difficult. It is also not made clear what her job responsibilities are, and what we are supposed to pay her for. Towels were supposed to be changed everday. They weren't. It also seems to me that for the price we paid, beach towels could be replaced once in our 5 day stay. They weren't. We tipped Ines to wash them once. The casita did not ever get cool enough to sleep in comfortably. It is a large space to have only one cooling unit.

Celebrating daughter 40th

Lovely property! We celebrated our daughter’s 40th. The accommodation worked well for locations and bedrooms/bathrooms for our size of family. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The housemaid prepared a wonderful breakfast which worked well for a large group. Fantastic location for beach access. The only disappointment was the hot tub wasn’t HOT-and we had some local construction going on at early hrs which isn’t vacation friendly!! I strongly feel this notification should have been made up front. Otherwise, the children loved the beach and pool.

Beautiful property right on the beach

Everything about this property was exceptional, from the initial booking to our five-night stay. We booked this property over a year in advance to host our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with our family. Our excellent experience began right away - Vrbo didn’t have the dates available for booking that far out, but Lisa, the property owner, worked tirelessly to secure them for us.As a meticulous planner, I started collaborating with the property manager, Maria, several months in advance. We coordinated airport transportation, arranged for golf carts for the 13 guests, hired a family photographer, ensured daily breakfast, and planned an arrival dinner. Maria was patient, helpful, and always pleasant to deal with.Our stay was truly fantastic. The property was in excellent condition and perfectly suited for hosting extended families. The housekeeper and gardener maintained the property in pristine condition and were a delight to work with. We requested breakfast to be prepared by the housekeeper, and she exceeded our expectations.The property boasts a magnificent pool and spa, and it’s conveniently located just steps from the beach, accessible directly from the property. It’s within easy walking distance to the heart of Tamarindo with plenty of great restaurants nearby.If you’re looking for the perfect venue for your large family or group of friends - look no farther!

Great vacation rental

The house worked out perfectly for all of us. There were 14 of us and everybody had their space. The common space and kitchen were wonderful also, as well as the outside kitchen and pool area.

Family Reunion

We had 13 family members, including 4 grandkids ages 2-6. The house was ideal for everyone to have their own space, and lots of space to come together for dinners and card games. The kids were in the pool for hours and hours every day - all the while watching the monkeys and the iguanas and the birds visiting. The location is so convenient to town - even the young ones were enjoyed the short walk along the beach. The ocean is safe for the kids - just gentle rolling waves. All in all an exceptional stay.

Perfect location and a beautiful house.

We loved this property. The house manager was easy to work with and provided us with so much information. It was perfect for a girls' getaway weekend. The location was great, easy access to the beach, shops and restaurants. We loved Tamarindo and will definitely return.

Tamarindo Beach Wedding

We (10 friends) were in town for a wedding on the beach at La Playa Beach Club, which was less than a 5 minute walk down the beach from the house. We absolutely loved this house- not only was it meticulously decorated and maintained, but we each had our own private and quiet bedrooms as well as amazing common areas. I enjoyed the outdoor shower and beach view from the primary bedroom. Others loved the large casita and the apartment with living room and porch swing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We all had a wonderful time and highly recommend this property!

Highly recommend - beautiful house, nice staff, great location!

We stayed at Villa Cascada for 10 nights with extended family. The house was beautiful, inside and out. It was very comfortable for our family of 8, from 12 to 80. Ines took wonderful care of us every day, and Marlon the gardener kept the place in top shape. The location was amazing - it is on the "quieter" end of the beach and we could walk out the back gate and be right on the beach, yet it was close enough to walk into down for coffee in the morning or dinner. Maria was very helpful and booked an amazing catamaran tour, a local chef one night, and an estuary tour. Pool was lovely, outdoor showers were much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

NYE in Tamarindo!

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We all had separate rooms with full bathrooms and separate entrances. Amazing communication with the owner and property manager. Shuttles and activities were arranged quite easily, which was so helpful. The location is amazing with everything just short walk away. We loved it!!

Paradise

Best family vacation location. The on line description was perfect. The Villa has more than enough room for us. Location to town was great. All eleven of us were able to walk down to the great town for food and shopping. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Maria, the house manager was awesome. The housekeeper and Gardner were the best! Our rented golf cart made grocery shopping easy. I can’t say enough good things about our stay.

Best located, beautiful home in Tamarindo

We went on this trip for a friend's 50th birthday celebration. The house is in an absolutely incredible location. Directly on the beach and steps from the main part of town. It is far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. The house was absolutely immaculate and the property manager and on site service providers were great. I can't recommend this place highly enough and am looking forward to the next visit!

Bucket list trip

We stayed at Villa Cascada for a week to check off a place on our father’s bucket list. The house was well laid out with plenty of room for our group to spread out. The kids loved the pool and close proximity to the beach. It was a very close walk to shops and restaurants. Marlon and Ines were wonderful and so friendly. Maria helped us set up an estuary tour and fishing trip. We were able to relax and unwind and thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Thank you!

Beautiful Property

We had an amazing time and the house was perfect for our needs. Just steps from the beach although the kids spent most of the time in the pool lol. Only thing I would say was that you are only given one beach towel per person and when you are swimming all day only having one beach towel per person was a bit challenging, especially when you have kids swimming majority of the day. Having to use a wet towel was kind of a bummer. Communication was great for our needs and things that came up! Would definitely recommend!

Great Place to Stay!

Perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and bars. There were monkeys in the backyard in the morning. Place was clean, and just as advertised. The house keeper and landscaper were really friendly. We will be back!

Wonderful and Restful

The property was as advertised, and working with Lisa and the staff there quite easy. Some members of my family change their minds often, and the staff were exceptional in going with the flow. The house and location are amazing, a very easy walk into town, and having the pool meant the kids could play all day. It was the vacation of a lifetime.

CR Spring Break 2024

The property is beautiful and in a wonderful location! Short walk into town and a stone throw from the beach! Big enough for the 11 of us to have our own space and just enjoy the break from our very active lives back at home. Recommend the property!

Amazing! We cannot wait to return. Inez and Maria were great.

Perfect for a group of various ages. Easy access to the town center. We did really use and enjoy the golf cart from Rent me Tamarindo. Our group gathered every night to celebrate the amazing sunsets. My only recommendation would be to add to the kitchens baking pan and utensil options for those of us who cook:) The large group coffee maker was perfect for our group.

It's just a short walk down the beach into town but far enough away to remain private and serene. It's the best of both worlds.
