Cozy Downtown Property
We had such a nice time at this condo. It was beautiful and comfortable, exactly as pictured. The host had excellent communication and all went very smoothly. We were able to use the beach items they provided and walk to King Kam beach down the street each day. We walked to the farmers market, shopping, and lovely ocean view restaurants for our meals and were close to everything. The AC was so nice after being out and about and the beds were comfortable too. We hope to return and stay again at this rental property! Thank you!

The condo complex was slightly run down. It was a bit difficult to find initially as bldg Is behind shops on AliiAlthough, inside condo was very nice and comfortable and the location is excellent. It was a bit concerning when we accessed the underground parking as it was filled with bracing poles to hold structure from collapsing..which should be disclosed to guests instead of it being a surprise. In addition, the day we arrived pool was open, but following day pool was locked and sign stating pool will be closed for remaining of the week..which was extremely disappointing as this was a big factor of our choice of facility to stay in. I advised property mgmt company and they advised the site mgr advised it was closed last minute do to an emergency issue. Which was completely untrue, as we witnessed scaffolding being errected and the building being painted, which is not last minute, definitely would be a planned event. We were not offered any discount on stay due to the loss of promised accommodations which was a huge loss, we were provided a 2 hrs extension on check out at my request. There is no beach view, it is located in a great area, with many restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance. Room was well air conditioned .

We understand your concerns regarding the complex. As noted in our property description, Kona Plaza does have ongoing exterior work, which can affect the common areas and appearance. We’re truly sorry, but the pool closure notice was not shared with us by the onsite management in a timely manner, which prevented us from letting you know in advance. We make it a priority to promptly inform our guests of any work as soon as we are notified. We realize how important pool access can be and regret that this impacted your stay.
We appreciate your comments and will continue to communicate updates from the complex as quickly and clearly as possible. Your input helps us improve the guest experience, and we’re glad that despite these challenges you enjoyed the condo’s interior and convenient location.
