Perfect for 8 guests. We have set this vacation cottage up with generous amenities so that you can walk in, put your food away, choose your room, light the fire, and immediately begin to enjoy your stay! All you will need are your own clothes and food. The cottage is perfectly located along scenic route 100 to explore Vermont. Okemo or Killington Mountain ski areas are 15 minutes either way.

The cottage accommodates individuals, couples, families & small groups. The valley features 5 interconnected lakes. Echo Lake south of us features a wonderful state park with a playground, concession stand, and beach. We will also tell you about the best swimming holes, hikes, and day trips. Coolidge Homestead is minutes away and features an old-time working cheese factory where they make award-winning cheese. Pet-friendly ~ fees do apply for dogs. Limit 8 guests. ASK- There are "event" fees. If you plan to have guests over for more than one daily gathering, we would like to discuss this with you. "Events" are entertaining more than 8 people at ANY TIME in the cottage: family reunions, weddings, showers, parties etc.

The cottage is a relaxing, calming place. It has many "must-haves" conveniences with high-quality creature comforts because it needs to be "THAT" special place. • Bedrooms - This immaculate cottage rental offers six bedrooms. We are fussy about bedding and only high-quality unique items make it in. Linens may be designer, local artistic, or antique. Our individualized bedrooms with high-quality linens, down comforters, and 100% Egyptian cotton towels set us apart.
• Bathrooms- There are four bathrooms in this rental: Small, efficient, true to the times when this cottage was built with some twists of improvement (tile was not a part of old-time lakeside cottage) for convenience.
• Kitchen - The full galley style kitchen is geared towards foodies. We love entertaining our friends and family. We offer guests plenty of amenities for cooking and entertaining. For coffee fanatics, this rental offers a Keurig, a Cuisinart Drip, a French Press, Italian press, Chemex, and a coffee grinder. Additionally, guests will have plenty of cooking utensils and dishware. A pantry with plenty of state-of-the-art appliances including, an air fryer, crock pot, blender, juicer, Kitchenaid mixer, electric grill, popcorn maker, toaster and toaster oven, microwave. Also a dishwasher and an ice maker.
• The area - is packed with fun things to do. Explore other lakes, the state park on the lake below us and swimming holes, Shops in beautiful Woodstock, Weston, Ludlow. Skiing/hiking at either Killington or Okemo. Long Trail Brewery lunches, tours & samples at the Plymouth Cheese Factory, and trips to Buttermilk Falls to name only a few. • Style - Quaint cozy vintage vibe. A 1930's 1930s-era cottage updated and maintained in a boutique style for its true charm. The cottage is not a cookie cutter trendy design, but rather old-time New England "campy" & "cottagey" charm that is unique for its pairings of old and new. "A quirky step back in time", you will find rough edges as we continuously work towards our renovation goals. If you don't like rough edges & quirks, we will not be hurt if you choose another cottage/home.

GUEST OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT - All rental transactions are held accountable to the "GUEST OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT" on this site between guest and owner. It outlines check-in and -out times, recycling laws/requirements, cancellation policy, emergency procedures, Acts of God to the home etc. Owner will send guest the AGREEMENT and we ask it be returned via e-mail or snail mail within 3-4 days. The rental may be cancelled by the owner at owner's discretion if terms are not met. Trip insurance is strongly encouraged and strongly recommended. Payment indicates you agree to the terms in the "GUEST OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT" which INCLUDES children & infants.
• The Homeowners are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive, or if Guests choose to depart early for any reason, or if any member(s) of Guests party do not show up. No refunds or rebates will be made based on weather; power failure; mandatory evacuation; acts of God; earthquake; fire; flood; sabotage; strike; civil or military disturbance; acts of terrorism; war; epidemic or pandemic; riot; acts of government; and any other circumstances beyond Homeowner’s reasonable control.
• Canceled bookings will only receive a refund if booking is cancelled 180 days or more before commencement date. A $200 cancellation fee plus any credit card charges will be deducted .... IF cancelled 179-60 days before commencement date AND the property can be re-rented for that same time and price, a $300 cancellation fee and credit card fees will be applied and deducted from your refund payment. Cancellation requests less than 59 days will most likely not be refunded due to short notice. We will re-list and put forth a good will effort to fill the vacancy. For cancellation requests less than 59 days, refund ONLY if property can be re-rented at same or more price. There will be a $500 cancellation fee + any credit card fees deducted. We will only refund after VRBO pays us and the re-booked property completes successfully.
• Any refunds will be made 2 weeks past the END of an original booking period, and if the replacement booking is successfully completed.
• Please check your credit card to be see if you have trip cancellation/trip interruption insurance. If not, then we suggest purchasing (in case of emergency, illness, or bad weather) as there is a no refund policy, unless owner can rent to another group at the same time with a 90-day cancellation notice. We highly recommend CFAR travel insurance.
• Our rates are based on # of beds & bathrooms. All other areas are no charge, including outside areas and amenities. Some amenities may not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
• All rental agreements are final and binding.
• Altering contract will be grounds for cancellation at property owner's discretion.
