Welcome to Knasgowa! - Knasgowa, meaning "Heron" in the Cherokee language, symbolizes peace and harmony. We decided to name the cabin as a tribute to these birds that often fish behind the cabin.



This private (Direct Access) lakefront retreat features 1 king bedroom with 2 Queen over Queen bunk rooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests and 2 dogs. Situated on 8 private waterfront acres with just a few steps to Douglas Lake makes the backyard truly feel endless.



You'll never need to leave the cabin as Knasgowa is jam packed with fun activities and amenities for the whole family.

About Douglas Lake

* The lake is drained every winter around the middle of September (An exact date is not available)

* The lake is naturally refilled around the middle of April every year (An exact date is not available)

* Indian Creek Boat Ramp is available for your use to bring your own boat to this property. It's located just 3 miles from this property. You can park your trailer here after launching your boat.

Christmas Decorations

* This cabin is decorated for Christmas from approximately December 1st through 31st based on availability. These exact dates are not guaranteed if the cabin is occupied as we will decorate the cabin based on availability.



Driveway At The Lake House

* The driveway is steep but there is plenty of space to use as a turn around to pull down the driveway driving forward and turn around at the base of the driveway to pull out forward. In the winter time, 4WD might be needed if there is snow or ice on the driveway.



Small Kids

* We provide a pack and play and high chair.



Other things to note

* Your lock code will be sent to you 24 hours prior to your arrival. You do not need to pick up any keys.



Military, Veteran, Police & Firefighter Discount

We are proud to offer all Current Military, Veterans, Police & Firefighters a 5% discount. In order to receive this discount, you must make your reservation first then send us a message with a copy of your proof of service. The name on the reservation and payment must match the name on the proof of service. We will then refund 5% of the accommodation back to you in the resolution center the day of your check in.



Starter Pack and Linens: Included are towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup wipes, sheets, quilts, extra blankets, pillows, and more. You will receive a sponge, dishwasher pods, detergent pods, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, bar soap, and other extras we like to surprise you with.



Guest Access:

Guests will have full access to the entire home, excluding a few owners closets.



The Neighborhood:

Indian Creek Boat Ramp is available for your use to bring your own boat to this property. It's located just 3 miles from this property. We recommend to park your trailer at the boat ramp.

* Local Fishing License is required by state law to fish in the area. License can be purchased online or purchased at Walmart.

* Must be 21 to book. All guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
