Welcome to The Turquoise Turtle! Just over the line into Kure Beach, this beautiful, brightly colored girl points her head towards the ocean awaiting your next adventure.
The Turtle is a newer Construction (2019) , second row, single family home with unobstructed ocean views, a private in-ground pool (not heated) and hot tub! Handicap accessible, public beach access is directly across from the driveway so no need to dread hauling all your beach gear on a long journey. We also supply a beach wagon to ease the walk!
Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails on any of the 4 decks and take in the ocean breezes with breathtaking sunrise and sunsets. Designed for entertainment, our home boasts a private in ground pool featuring LED lights and bar area and 2 separate living areas for everyone to spread out and relax. The downstairs area is stocked with kid friendly board games and a TV.
With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, there's plenty of room to accommodate the largest of families. Each bedroom is equipped with a digital clock/sound machine and outlet with USB/USB-C plugs.
The beach access has minimal public parking spots so you will find this stretch of beach to be extremely quiet and less populated than most other areas on the island.
Pool and hot tub area feature lounge chairs, swim accessories in the storage closet, propane grill, shower/foot wash, and a convenient ground level half bath.

Carolina Beach is a family friendly beach town with pizza spots, coffee and ice cream shops, seafood restaurants, dive bars, and 2 grocery stores. You'll never have to (or want to) leave the island - but if you do, Wilmington is a short drive! During the summer there are free outdoor concerts and movies, a weekly Farmers Market, carnival rides / games, and Thursday night fireworks! Stroll the boardwalk and visit the famous Britt's donuts, head down to the Kure Beach pier, take a tour of Shark Tooth Island, visit the NC Aquarium or take in some local Civil War history at Fort Fisher. You can find new things to do every day or, of course, just relax on the beach and soak up the sun. You'll be glad you came to Pleasure Island you will want to come back year after year!
The Turquoise Turtle sleeps 11 - maximum 8 adults comfortably. This is a non-smoking, pet free home.

Linens included: sheets, comforters, bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, bath mats, and dish towels.

The title says it all. My family and I all loved the house, beaches, and area. Perfect location, right across from the beach with a view. And when youā€™re done at the beach you can hit the pristine pool.

Our new favorite house at our favorite beach

We just returned from a wonderful week at the Turquoise Turtle. It's a beautiful home. With the location directly across from the walkway to the beach, it may as well be 1st row. The pool and hot tub are very nice and were enjoyed immensely by my family. Plenty of seating for all 9 of us. it was wonderful having the 2nd living area so my grandsons could hang out there and have their own space while the adults enjoyed it upstairs. We will definitely be back.

Family Vacation

This property is the best place we have stayed for one of our many vacations. The location is fantastic as it has a cross walk directly in front of the house which made it very easy and safe to get across to the beach. We do a lot of cooking, and the kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, pots, and pans. The baby gate that was made available came in handy with having young children. The beds were comfortable, and each room had a ceiling fan. We enjoyed having our own private pool area. Meghan was very attentive to our needs and checked on us throughout the week to make sure everything was sufficient. Any questions we had were answered immediately. We definitely will return in the future.

Family mini-vacation

Meg, the homeowner, was a great communicator and very friendly. The property offered plenty of room for our group which included 4 adults and 6 kids ranging in ages from 5-15. The home is nicely maintained and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool immensely. The homeowner let us know that new roofing had just been installed prior to our arrival. The roofers had not located all of their dropped nails so that was a small hazard but we checked the decks and grounds and disposed of all we found.The location is also great. It's a second row home, but has a clear view of the beach and access is right across the street from the property. Should we go back to the area, we would definitely seek out this home again.

Absolutely perfect. Check in was simple. The property was spotless and the location is directly across from the beach. We had a couple of chilly nights, so the hot tub was a bonus. We did not brave the pool but it was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed several good restaurants within a 5-minute drive and of course the fort Fisher Park is about a 5-minute drive down the road. You are also 5 minutes from the ferry that will take you across to Southport for even more restaurants. Great location on the island for just about anything that you want to do.
