Located directly ON THE SHORES OF FIRST CONNECTICUT LAKE about 150 feet from the water. So bring your own boat or rent one! You could not ask for a better spot to go boating & fishing. Or you can take a drive to the “trophy section” of the Connecticut River. Great spot for a fly fishing trip!

Located about 15 miles south of Canada - so bring along your passport & take a visit to our neighbor country to the north!

Drive north on Route 3 to cruise along the famous “Moose Alley” to spot some moose!

Not far from lots of awesome hiking trails. My favorite is the 4th Connecticut Lake Hike up on the USA/Canada border. Just park at the Border Station and follow the signs. (FYI dogs are not allowed on this hike)

Check out the amazing foliage during Autumn, it really is breath taking!

There is something fun to do all year round in Pittsburg :) come for a visit!

No cable TV but there is a ROKU to use for streaming with your own personal account info. Make sure to sign out before you check out.

Linens are supplied (bedding, extra blankets, towels, hand towels, facecloths, dishcloths) & beach towels are provided

During your stay, a coffeemaker, coffee, sugar & filters are provided

There is a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit and in case of a power outage - there are flashlights and extra batteries

*HOUSE DETAILS*

When you enter the home to the foyer there is a large mudroom on your right and a half bath on your left

4 bedrooms (1 master with queen bed/master bath/walk in closet, 2 downstairs bedrooms both with walk in closets: 1st bedroom has twin bunks and a full size bed & the 2nd bedroom has a twin bed & a bunk bed with a twin on top and full on bottom, 4th bedroom is located in the loft so there is no door or closet & has a queen sized bed)

2.5 bathrooms (1/2 bath located by entry way, 1 master bathroom, & 1 bathroom downstairs located near the downstairs bedrooms)

Laundry room is located downstairs & is equipped with a washer & dryer, detergent, laundry basket & folding table

Full sized kitchen & separate pantry stocked with all the necessities, just bring your own food and beverages!

In the backyard facing the lake, there is a propane grill, fire pit, picnic table & chairs (we will provide propane for the grill but we ask that you provide your own kindling & firewood)
***please use the provided grill brush to clean the bbq grill before check out if you used it during your stay

The path down to the lake, the 40 foot dock & the 200 feet of shore frontage is shared with another rental that is on the same property. You will have access to the left side of the dock for your boat (left when facing the lake from shore) and the shore frontage/beach area. The lake water level is controlled by a company who uses the water for power so be aware that the lake water levels do fluctuate throughout the year. Sometimes the water level can be really high and sometimes it can be really low. The cove that the house is located in sometimes can be shallow, so be mindful of the water depth when docking your boat.
Be advised the dock is put in the water around the second week in June and taken out during the second week in September. So, there is only a dock for use available from mid June to mid September.

Be advised there is one camera on property on the exterior of the house recording the front door entryway and driveway area.


***ATTENTION PET OWNERS***

I am a dog lover too!

I welcome *well behaved house trained* pets...if you plan to bring your pet(s), please let me know ahead of time and remember, it is YOUR responsibility to thoroughly clean up after YOUR pet(s).

1. A broom, dust pan & vacuum are provided so you can thoroughly clean up any left behind dog fur before you check out.
2. All pet poops must be cleaned up & disposed of properly & promptly
3. Please keep all pet(s) OFF of the furniture – most importantly including the beds - at all times (thanks!)

*If these house rules are not followed, you will be charged a fee of $75.00.

1. I expect ALL pet fur and ALL pet poops to be cleaned up and disposed of properly. I provide a vacuum & a broom & dust pan for you to use during your stay and before check out in order to thoroughly clean up after your pets. Before you check-out, please leave our home in the condition it was in when you arrived. You will be charged a fee of $75.00 if this rule is not followed.
2. ALL PETS MUST BE KEPT OFF ALL FURNITURE AT ALL TIMES. If there is evidence of any pets on any furniture, you will be charged a fee of $75.00
3. Accidents happen...If your dog causes damage, please do the right thing and let me know directly. Then the situation can be addressed and settled either directly with me OR VRBO Resolution Center & Insurance

If any of these 3 house rules regarding pets are not followed, you will be charged a fee of $75.00 for EACH rule that is not followed.

****HOUSE RULES****

*If something is broken, missing, or not working correctly or if you have any questions or concerns at all, let me know immediately! I will do whatever I can to make it right and fix it ASAP - please do not wait until you review our home to mention it

*Please respect our property and leave our home exactly as you found it

*Mind your neighbors (quiet hours 11pm-7am)

*NO SMOKING INSIDE* If the house smells like smoke after you check out, you will be charged a fee of 100.00

*Treat our home with respect. We expect you to leave our home in the condition it was in when you arrived

*Turn off any lights/appliances/fans etc. when not in use

*Lock all doors and windows any time that you leave the property

*No pets allowed on any furniture at any time

*Wash, dry, and put away all dishes before check out

*Take trash out to the bins located at the back of the house before check out

*DO NOT use white towels/washcloths to remove makeup or any messes. There are rags located in the pantry if needed.

*Accidents happen. If any damage is done or something gets broken, please let me know. If you do not let me know what happened before check out you will be charged a $75 fee

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

There is another rental located on the same property, but the driveways are separated & the driveways are huge. There is plenty of room for plenty of vehicles and trailers

In the summer: you will share a path to get down to the lake. The 40 foot dock and large beach area are shared. The dock has space for 2 boats on each side. You will have access to the left side of the dock for your boat(s) (left side when looking at the lake from shore) & access to the shore frontage/beach area

Liability Waiver:
You understand that swimming and the use of kayaks/boats/canoes is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming and using kayaks/canoes/boats. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming and use of the kayaks/canoes/boats and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming and the use of kayaks/canoes/boats may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming or using the kayaks/canoes/boats if a person has health risks, or if a person swims or uses the kayaks/canoes/boats while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming or using the kayaks/canoes/boats. All the above includes any snowmobiling and any possible incidents involving snowmobiles. All Guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming your reservation constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Guests and Host. This includes anything to do with snowmobiling as well
