It sounds like you made some great memories, and it turned out to be a pretty good weather window for this time of year. Just a quick response about the carpet, it’s only about two years old and we had just shampooed it the day before you arrived. Unfortunately, as the cleaning winds were against us the carpet cleaner gave up on us later in the day just as it was time to clean the stairs, so there were a couple stains still on the stairs. ( high visibility) We couldn’t get back to finish shampooing until after your stay, sorry. We want to thank you so much for your excellent communication with us. Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and for recognizing many of the positive aspects of your stay, such as our communication, the ease of check-in, the spaciousness of the home, and the quality of our amenities. We take great pride in being responsive and providing a welcoming space for guests to enjoy their time together. Additionally, we don’t let our home get dated, we spend a lot of time and money annually to keep it fresh. Recently in the last three years: new carpets, new furniture, new flooring, new hot tub, new roof, new A/C, and much more. I'm truly sorry to hear that you encountered some cleanliness concerns during your visit. Our cleaning team works diligently between each stay bathrooms, kitchens, and baseboards are given close attention, and the house is deep cleaned every off-season. We are proud of our strong track record of cleanliness, as reflected in many past reviews. Some items you mentioned, like the area under the bar cabinet, were already scheduled for maintenance after an old leak was repaired earlier in the year what you observed is a water stain rather than active mold. There was an dirty bottle container down there too, that our cleaning team missed. The odor you noticed appears to have come from inside the bottom of the large trash can that had not been cleaned after a prior guest's stay. This was discovered as I walked through your list with our cleaning team, we treated it and have now added a cleaning step to our turnover checklist to prevent this for future guests. We’re grateful for this feedback, as it helps us continually improve. Regarding dust on the vent and the shower track: you are absolutely correct that these details matter, and we've addressed them. With a busy summer schedule and back-to-back bookings, sometimes small things can slip through, but even in our busiest weeks, we are always happy to send our cleaners back for any issue, often the very same day. I wish we’d had the opportunity to resolve these concerns in real time during your stay, as we always encourage guests to reach out with any needs, large or small. We take all feedback seriously and are always working to make sure our guests have a five-star experience, as demonstrated by our consistent, positive reviews and repeat bookings throughout the year.
