This is our second time staying at this property. And it was just great as the first visit. We loved theavailability of kayaks, stand-up paddle board, and other sorts of entertainment. We especially loved the view and the peace and quiet.

A great escape.

This is our second stay at this property. We enjoy the waterfront and the isolation. It is an excellent place to play a game, read a book, or cook a great meal. There is plenty of wildlife (more in the summer). We will not hesitate to come back again.

A Beautiful Home

A last-minute change in plans brought us to this gorgeous Pickering Passage home. The property manager graciously accommodated our request to book and made the process very smooth, ensuring we had all the info we needed. The home itself is well-equipped, VERY clean and comfortable, which offered us a very special Pacific NW waterfront experience. Three adults had all the space to enjoy peace and quiet on one of the nicest beaches in the South Sound. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great for a chill weekend.

Overall our stay was great. There were definitely things that could be improved to make it more comfortable, but it was a great house and the location was lovely. It was a bummer to have a burn ban in place and then end up there on the coldest weekend because I think the best part of staying at this home would have been sitting around the fire, chatting and taking in the view. This is what we were looking forward to except it was too cold to sit outside without a fire…and fires were prohibited. Giant bummer for us since the pictures of the outdoor fire pit and view are what caught our attention and made us want to book this spot. It is a great spot to bring your paddle board. They also offer kayaks and a board as well. There is sufficient supplies in the kitchen for cooking. All in all, we had a great, relaxing weekend.

Glad another guest had a good time at Pickering Passage Beach House. Statewide burn bans summer 2021 made it so a campfire wasn't allowed - anywhere in the state. Out of our control, but important to follow the rules to keep everyone safe. Thanks! Debra, Picture Properties

Amazing home, aggressive neighbor

The home itself was amazing and just as advertised. However, fair warning to anyone else who stays here that the next door neighbor was very rude to us and our children. We lit a fire for s'mores without realizing there was a burn ban and the neighbor came onto the property screaming at us to put it out. He was so aggressive that our young children got scared and had to go inside while we tried to calm down the neighbor. We put out the fire right away after realizing our mistake, but given it was an honest mix up the rudeness was totally unecessary.

Glad another guest enjoyed Pickering Passage Beach House. Please know that this is not an experience we have heard about from other guests (you can check our reviews). With how dry it has been this summer, and with open dry grass property near by, the neighbor was likely just on edge - everyone has a bad day. We apologized to the guest immediately upon hearing this. We are not aware of any other incidents, so please don't worry. Thanks! Debra, Picture Properties

Great Getaway close to Seattle

Great place by the water for our families to spend Thanksgiving, Roomy house with great views. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Enjoyed our stay.

Great Visit

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I had a wonderful 3 nights here while visiting an elderly friend in the area. We would all happily return.

Perfect family getaway.

What an amazing property! We were 3 adult siblings having a reunion. The property is just as it appears in the photos. Very well equipped large kitchen, making it easy for the 3 of us to cook all together. I would love to have been there in warmer weather-so much to do! Easy check in and house manager was very attentive to our questions and concerns. Can’t go wrong vacationing here!

Better than expected

This house is very well appointed. It was very clean. The layout was great for our get together. We also loved the decor. We used the firepit. It was very fun to be at the fire, outside, near the water with open skies. Inside the gas fireplace was very warm and cozy. The neighborhood was quiet and private. The minuses are the property manager didn't respond to our request for late check out, the beds in the bunkbed room are extremely squeaky and loud which did make it difficult to sleep well. They are comfortable though.

Fall trip

It’s a wonderful place to stay at especially during this time of the year to see the leaves changing colors. Had a wonderful time staying here over the weekend with my friends, highly recommend.

Great getaway!

We had a great time on this trip. The house was just as shown and had all the amenities for a great visit. The water was calm and perfect for exploring, the patio was relaxing, and the house was immaculate. Having the yard to play lawn games and tetherball helped keep the kids busy when not kayaking. Fun!

Wonderful location

Perfect location for a getaway on the sound. Great waterfront property with a view. Grand Daughter’s definitely enjoyed the outdoor shower and play space. Home was very well equipped both inside and out. We have been having a 2 week family getaway for several years now, and this was rated as the best yet!

Excellent waterfront stay

My husband, daughter (12) and parents really enjoyed our stay. We liked that the waterway is quite quiet with very few motorboats and was therefore excellent for kayaking. All amenities were supplied and the house had everything we needed. The fire pit was very easy to use and enjoyable. The views from the house are superb. Lots of fun toys like basketball, tetherball and badminton also provided.

Relaxing retreat away

Very very spacious, clean, and most of a amazing view! Thank you for sharing your property with us! We have always dreamed of having a house on the water like this. Someday down the road we will. We very much needed to de stress and to unwind from our every day lives.

Nature’s wonderland

We stayed at Pickering house with our 18mo old and three adults. The house and beach were gorgeous. We saw bald eagles, seals, baby fox and a jolly orange neighbor cat. Access to the kayaks made the stay memorable as we were able to paddle up and down the passage. Very kid and family friendly and would love to stay again.

Beautiful, family friendly stay

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful house. The view and proximity of the water are fantastic. We enjoyed kayaking on the calm water and finding oysters right in front of the house. During the day my girls loved playing on the huge back lawn with the sports equipment, and at night we roasted s’mores on the fireplace that overlooks the water. We look forward to booking again.

Fantastic Vacation Spot

We have five children and the house was perfect. The kids loved the bunkbeds. The views of the water from in the house are fantastic and we even were able to watch the sunrise from inside the house on the balcony since it was freezing outside. Want to revisit when weather is warmer so we can use the kayaks provided.

Relax and Rewind

Such a great place to relax, read a book and just watch nature. Huge windows opened up to the bay and a stroll along the pebbled beach was just perfect.

Beautiful getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely property with three generations visiting this time! The home was clean, welcoming, and well stocked in the kitchen, which was more than we expected. With three kiddos on the water, I was mindful of safety and a waterfront property, but it was very easy for the family to have plenty to do, explore and play with here. Wonderful responsiveness when we had a question about the fireplace, and we’ve already booked our next stay!

Lovely getaway
