Walk through our doors to the stellar setting and unsurpassable view of Sunset House. This classic Caribbean house, lovingly restored by its new owners, spreads over Long Bay Hill just a short walk from Long Bay beach at the west end of Tortola.
Nestled in the lush hills above long Bay, Sunset House offers you a most unique and intimate vacation experience. Over the years the house has been host to English Royalty, famous sports figures, and well known theatre personalities; as well as weddings, family reunions and groups of friends.
Artfully designed, Sunset House will captivate you from the very first moment you step through the elegant gazebo styled entrance and into the open courtyard from which a spectacular vista of historic Long Bay and its mile-long beach beckon.
The house features five large airy bedrooms, each with bath in suite and a private balcony with spectacular views of Long Bay to Jost Van Dyke and the outer islands. Relax by the pool lulled by its waterfall or enjoy a water massage in the tranquility of the hot tub. Watch the sunset while having cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the wraparound veranda, and savor dinner prepared for you by our staff in our new state of the art kitchen. You will enjoy the personalized services provided by the staff which is headed by Carmen who has been with the house for over twenty years.
Since we all know that the travel experience these days is exhausting we welcome you to sit back and relax while dinner is prepared and served to you by our staff. No shopping, cooking or cleaning required, and no stress allowed.

Loved our stay

Loved our stay at Sunset House!! The house is amazing and we were within walking distance of several restaurants- not that we walked to any, the cooks, Cynthia and Loris, are incredible!! The house manager, Carmen, was wonderful from my first inquiry until we left. Can’t wait to return!!

A slice of heaven on earth

The house is lovely, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff, though, takes this experience to a whole other level. I have never enjoyed a vacation rental as much as this one. I sincerely hope we can make it back again.

Fantastic Sunset House

From pre-arrival to post-departure, the Sunset House was amazing. Carmen and her staff are top notch and they enhanced our stay in Tortola. We had such a great time! The house name is definitely spot on. Without hesitation, we will stay here again when we return to Tortola.

Awesome place!

My family’s stay at the Sunset House was absolutely amazing! The house is outstanding and the staff is totally top-notch! Carmen, Loris, Cynthia, and Jennifer treated us like royalty! The rooms are very spacious and dinners are out of this world! I can’t sing their praises enough! If you want to live like a rock star, Sunset House is the place you need to book!

60th birthday celebration

We stayed at the Sunset House to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. It was 2 families with 5 teenagers. We had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, the location is perfect and the staff is amazing! Absolutely loved it! We also rented a boat for a few days for day charters. Super special time. Hope to do it again soon. Holiday stay 2021

Honestly, this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places I've stayed. Carmen was fantastic with all of the communications/questions prior to our arrival as well as during our stay. The staff at the house took great care of us and the dinners were fantastic! We had a couple of dietary restrictions (which we communicated in advance) and they handled those issues quite easily. The home is beautiful as well!

This house is just spectacular. Carmen and her team of ladies couldn't be better. I went there for my 60th birthday with 6 friends and it was perfect. The house and views were just amazing. Carmen and the wonderful ladies who cook and clean not only did a great job, but they were so friendly and kind. This property is a dream!

Excellent All Around

I can't say enough great things about Sunset House. The views are fantastic, the house is amazing, all of the bedrooms are comfortable with balconies, the pool and hot tub are perfect. We enjoyed dinner at the house every evening. Daily housekeeping is so nice to have. She even did our personal laundry whenever we wanted. Can't wait to return.

Amazing vacation at the Sunset House

From the minute we booked, the communications with Carmen were excellent. The house exceeded our expectations! We had dinner at the house four times and each meal was fantastic (lobster was our favorite). We enjoyed the pool after days at the beach and visiting the neighboring islands. Carmen and the staff were incredible, they even went out of their way to get a birthday cake for us. We have stayed at many properties, and the sunset house is at the top of the list. We hope to come back again in the future!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the sunset house! Carmen, Jennifer, loris, Cynthia and all did a wonderful job! We stayed at Sunset house to celebrate my 50th birthday and we had a great time! We had three of our dinners at the house which was a real treat! The accommodations we're just as pictured and wonderful! We were so happy to return to Tortola after all that they've been through. We look forward to a return visit in 2021!!

Completely Incredible!!

This trip was absolutely perfect, from the incredible views, the layout of the house and the incredibly delicious meals prepared for us 6 out of 7 nights of our stay! Can't speak highly enough of Cynthia & Loris! This was the trip of a lifetime. Tortola is beautiful, but I don't know that I would go back if I couldn't stay here again. Carmen was so very helpful in so many aspects!

Lovely and relaxing

Sunset house has an amazing view and we spent such a relaxing week here. 9 family members from adults to an infant. Loved the pool. With such a big crowd we ate dinner here every night. The food was great and the ladies were so nice. They totally adapted for food allergies. It made my week stress free! Carmen was so easy to work with and set everything up for us. We ordered groceries ahead of time and they were all there when we arrived.

Tortola Gem

We were a group of 8 adults that were lucky enough to enjoy this home in Tortola for a week. From the minute we walked into the sunset house we were blown away by the views. The staff is so friendly and takes care of you constantly, we really felt pampered. The pool was perfect for soaking up the sun in the afternoon heat. The house was well stocked with anything you may need to enjoy the area. We did the in house meals with the staff for four of our nights and It was affordable and tasted delicious! The amount of food you get for the price is excellent. One of the best villa experiences we have had. We will definitely return some day. Thank you Carmen & staff

The most amazing, beautiful, comfortable home.

Our stay at Sunset house was memorable and an experience that we will cherish for a lifetime. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there with our family of 16. We had a 52 ft sailboat that half the family stayed on and then switched half way through. Carmen and her staff were so accommodating to all our needs. We had a wonderful dinner to end our beautiful vacation. The chef’s meal was over the top amazing. If I could give this home 10 stars, I would. Thank you Carmen for your attention and caring for my family. You and Rose and all the staff are such lovely, warm individuals.

Sunset House - Adults Only Trip

We had 4 couples rent Sunset House for a 5 night getaway to BVIs. The house did not disappoint, the views just seemed to get better and better each day. The layout of the house was perfect for 4 couples and gave everyone enough space should they want it. Property manager Carmen was great and very helpful with questions we had about navigating Tortola. The housekeepers Rose and Jennifer were also great. We had dinner prepared by the chef one night which was also excellent. If you have multiple families or couples this house would be great for you. It’s a short but steep walk down to a very nice desolate beach where you’re likely to not see anyone one unless you walk up to the beach bar for a drink. Great house and great staff.

Beautiful property, Amazing hosts, Exceeded all expectations!

Words are just enough to describe this property! From the time we arrived until even after we departed, our large group of 10 was amazed at every aspect of this vacation! To say that Carmen and her staff were amazing and attentive doesn’t just seem to do justice! The house was impeccably clean all week! We chose to have dinners with the chefs for 3/5 of our nights and were sad we didn’t choose every night! Food was amazing!!! Location was very close to the Jost ferry and west end ferry terminal. Although the house does sit on a cliff that provides remarkable views, we were so surprised that Long Bay beach was in walking distance!!! Would more than recommend this house to anyone travelling to the BVIs from larger families to just groups of friends looking to get away! Perfect week with a perfect accommodation!

AWESOME!

It’s hard to put into words just how fabulous this property is, from the spacious rooms to the absolutely breathtaking views to the fabulous staff. From the moment we first contacted Carmen with various questions about the accommodations and activities to the seamless check-out, she was at our service without hesitation. Rose had our continental breakfasts prepared and greeted us with a smile and friendly conversation each morning before we took off for the day’s adventure. We enjoyed four delicious dinners prepared for us at the house and were able to relax and review our fabulous day in the beautiful dining area. We chartered a powerboat with Celtic Island Tours for two of our days which proved to be a true highlight of our trip since we were able to visit many surrounding popular spots and take in some great snorkeling. Our group consisted of 10 family and friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and beautiful verandas. Sunset House is the BEST!!
