Beautiful property! We’ll be back!

Our second visit to this amazing home! During ski season you can literally walk across the street and catch a chairlift in less than 5 minutes. The house itself is immaculate and has one of the best views on the lake. We’ll be back!

First family vacation with 7 month old

This rental did not disappoint, we spent a week at this lakefront house and the view was spectacular. We traveled with our 7 month old baby and brought a play pack for him to sleep in, I was surprised to see that this rental had a play pack available in one of the bedrooms. That's a big plus for traveling families. Loved the location and how close we were to Tahoe City. We will definitely come back again! What great memories!

Getting run down

Have stayed at this property multiple times and this time it was dirty (cobwebs, dust etc), the shower was backed up, the kitchen supplies are missing, steps are broken. It’s a beautiful location but it’s not being maintained. Beautiful week at a beautiful location but the house was disappointing especially for the price.

Perfectly located by the water

This rental did not disappoint! A little hard to find with 8ft of snow on the ground, but thankful for GPS. A path was cleared for the sidewalk so it was easy to haul our luggage from the shared garage to the house. The house was mostly clean with some dust and cobwebs here and there. Beds were comfy but the house could use some new pillows. It’s also perfectly located across the street from Homewood Resort for any folks interested in skiing or snowboarding.

Perfect location on lake

Beautiful property. Property management not great. I asked twice before arrival if there is a bbq, they said no, but lo and behold there is one. There were no beach towel’s available which is odd. Bear warning would be good too as one visited the complex multiple nights entering unlocked doors. Would stay again with these things in mind, great place. Property managers seem like their company too big and don’t have great details on properties.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY

We stayed here from 12/31/23 for 6 nights. This house was not at all up to expectations or worth the price. The main issue is that the house was not cleaned before arrival (management company admitted this to us). It was not just NOT cleaned from the last guest but it had not been deep cleaned in a very long time. There were cobwebs and spiders throughout the house. Dust was everywhere and was very hard on everyone's allergies. The day to day cleaning left hairs in the bathrooms, the sheets were stained and we found some damp and left in a corner. Some of the quilts had burn holes in them. Many lighst didn't work throughout the house including the fridge and pantry and there is no light near the bathtub in the bathroom so you can't bathe at night.

Fabulous location in West Lake Tahoe

We loved the location and the home was beautiful. Having wonderful access to the lake, the pier and a lawn was a big plus. The house is lovely and the layout perfect for family. Sadly, the house was not clean and there are numerous issues with the accommodations that surprised us. We did reach out and a wonderful employee came out to address a couple of issues but the overall lack of care was too much even for him. For example, the stove has no working vent hood so the grease goes right into the main LR. The dishwasher had a rack that was broken, the trash compactor doesn’t work, the refrigerator had a number of problems, the oven rack was broken and almost caused a MAJOR disaster, the pillows in the bedrooms were like pieces of hard foam. These are simple issues that just were annoying and should be addressed. This house is perfectly located and has great architecture and deserves better care. And the windows! I doubt they’ve ever been cleaned. You’re looking at an amazing view through cobwebs and water stains! Sorta sad. If they clean it up and fix these issues it would be an amazing spot. Even with those issues the location is a 10+.

Get a new cleaning crew

This was our third straight heat to stay in this property. We choose it because of the views. This year I was so shocked to find the house as dirty and filthy as it was. The windows were so dirty that you couldn’t even see out of a few of them. Cobwebs were everywhere in the rafters and over the main picture window. Two of the bathrooms had the toilet roll holder pulled out of the Sheetrock. The bed linens in the master bed had definitely NOT been changed. My only guess is that the previous tenant made their bed prior to leaving. The bottom rack of the dishwasher is missing wheels and therefore it never stays on track. There was only one laundry detergent pod which I thought a little odd. Anyway, all of these are truly minor things that could have been and should have been addressed long before our arrival. Maybe the cleaning crew needs to be trained and have a checklist. I hope the windows will eventually get cleaned.

Nice house & location; inadequate provisions & response to needs; not a good value at this price

We have rented Homewood luxury lakefront homes for 15 years. We are familiar with luxury rentals & mgmt. company support. Our family of 8 adults rented Lakefront Serenity for 10 days. Home was in new condition & in a lovely lakefront location. However: • Home only had Weber tabletop camping grill. As this wouldn’t support our cooking needs, we bought a 40 lb. bag of charcoal & large stand-up $99.99 Weber grill • Kitchen had single-serve Keurig coffee maker; no inserts. We consume several pots of coffee daily, so we bought a Mr. Coffee for $39 • Kitchen had only one wine glass! Bought plastic cups for drinking wine • No kitchen dishrags or Kleenex & only 2 paper towels rolls in home. Bought case of paper towels & case of Kleenex for $25.00 • Kitchen not equipped with adequate cooking utensils, serving platters, or BBQ tongs/metal spatula Emailed Mgmt Company, rentLEVER, seeking supplies. Manager brought two rolls of paper towels and toilet tissue. Shortly, rentLEVER emailed there would be no further “upgrades” during our stay. Also: • Hot water circulation system off • WIFI inadequate, with no or very weak signal; intermittent signal upstairs and on nearby lawn • Freezer produced no ice, at max setting. Bought 3 20 lb. bags • Microwave worked but made loud laboring noise • Downstairs windows did not open/close properly. Had to remove the screens and physically push them out to open • No vacuum cleaner found • Iron, but no board • Just enough indoor bath towels but no others • Sprinklers went on 2x/day for long periods, making puddles • 4 outside chairs were solid; rest flimsy. 1 flimsy one broke, collapsing me flat to the ground • Owner-occupants of neighboring villa to south walked through the gated fence to our front yard 2x/day to let 2 dogs out. While we were cooking outside, dogs defecated on lawn within a few feet. My wife stepped in dog-doo! Twice, they came to our kitchen patio and through the screen asked if we were owners & how much we had paid for rent • After that couple left, large wedding party checked into their unit & played loud music outdoors from noon to late • While Homewood Shores neighborhood is a private/gated, non-residents trekked from West Lake Blvd (Hwy. 89) to access & use the beach & private pier rentLEVER, the management company, perhaps guided by the owner or perhaps not, was largely unwilling to provide basic & inexpensive supplies. We will not consider Lakefront Serenity in the future.

Great house

Property location is great for the activities we had in mind. Management was very responsive to minor issues we had and were quickly resolved. We would recommend this property to friends and would most likely return again.

Great place to get away from work and Great place to relax!!

We really appreciate this place and the beauty of the lake right out the back yard. Only suggestion is the cleaning could be much better!! But overall everything else was great looking forward to coming again!!!

Fantastic Location

I don't believe you could find a more beautiful, peaceful location ON THE LAKE! (this is October) The house is beautiful and well equipped. Only suggestion, I would prefer a little nicer bed linens, and blankets. The 2 "master suites" have a queen bed. the king bed shares a bathroom with the pullout. upstairs master has a steam shower, very cool.

Amazing Stay

I just spent 6 days with my parents, sister, aunt, uncle, and cousin. It is right on the lake. It is a little oasis. The location on the West side of the lake is great. The house itself is roomy, cozy, clean, and as advertised. I recommend it highly.

Cabin on the water

Loved the location and layout of this cabin. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and the views of Lake Tahoe was the perfect way to start a day. The only minor things that we felt could be improved on was the housekeeping of the property- saw multiple areas of spider webs and some dusty window sills. Also, the bed pillows (were old, stained and lacked fluff) needed to be replaced. The kitchen didn’t seemed very well stocked nor did the bathrooms. Having a bottle of shower body wash and some shampoo isn’t asking too much, is it? Kleenex was also on short supply. If the property management can fix those minor little issues I would definitely give this property a 5 star rating. We loved our visit and would book this cabin again for future visits.
