Elegant Home With Breathtaking View Of Greers Ferry Lake/Sugarloaf Mtn

Welcome to Lago Vista. We offer our home as a retreat for old friends and new friends to enjoy. We think you will find it to be a relaxing escape, no matter what the season. Enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful panoramic view of Greer’s Ferry lake and Sugarloaf Mountain and miles and miles beyond. Our family has enjoyed many days on this lake, as well as the great golf courses, tennis courts and many other recreational opportunities here. But the best thing about Lago Vista is that, for a few days, it can belong to you.

The home:
The home’s décor is casually elegant and the whole house has recently been professionally decorated. There are 4 bedrooms (3 OF WHICH ARE ENSUITES) with 4 full baths and one ½ bath. Five separate beds (kings and queens only) accommodates 4 couples and each one has their own private bathroom. All beds are very comfortable hybrid beds. A pack and play for babies is provided as well as 3 large sofas. MBR 1 - king bed, MBR 2 - California king, BR 3 - queen, BR 4 - 2 queens. There is a modern fully equipped kitchen as well as a propane grill on the deck. The 2 living areas have large flat screen TVs (65 inch in main living area and 75 inch in recreation room living area) All TVs offer the main streaming services, including YouTube TV, HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney plus, Apple and many more. Master Bedrooms have flat screens as well. Blue ray DVD players and a large DVD collection are provided too. The downstairs recreation room and den has a pool table that can be converted for ping pong. Our 2 huge decks, featuring plenty of seating, offer almost 180 degree views as far as your eyes can see. After a day at the lake or golf course – there is plenty to do at the house – play ping pong, pool, watch TV or movies with plenty of room to stretch out enjoy the view and make great memories.

Area information:
Fairfield Bay wraps around the north shore of beautiful Greers Ferry lake, a 50-mile long, 40,000 acre clean mountain lake with 343 miles of shoreline. The lake is an outdoor playground for fishing, boating, wake-boarding and skiing, scuba diving, and sailing. The Fairfield Bay Marina is your center for water recreation, renting ski boats and skis, party barges, boat slips and houseboats. Sightseeing trips, dinner cruises and the Sugarloaf Mountain Shuttle are a few of the excursions offered at the marina.

Local activities and amenities:
•walk 2 blocks to tennis and swimming at the Bay View Club. A few blocks further, woodland mead park, (.4 mi) offers basketball courts, shuffleboard, volleyball, flag football, miniature golf, horseshoes, and picnics. The recreation dept offers entertainment and classes.

•golf at Mountain Ranch Golf Club (rated top public course in Arkansas) or Indian Hills Country Club. Drive 30 minutes to play highly rated Tanenbaum Golf Club. All three are a great value! The top tier courses of Buffalo Ridge and Top of the Rock are a two hour drive away and make a great day trip. Great shopping in Branson as well.

•Fairfield Bay Hart Fitness Center: the 23,000 square foot facility includes a complete fitness center, massage therapy service, and physical therapy service as well as has an indoor pool, indoor track, basketball court, hot tub, and sauna.

•fish for bass, crappie, or walleye on Greers Ferry Lake. Or trout fish on the nearby Little Red River. The Buffalo River and other streams offer great small mouth bass fishing and canoeing.

•shop downtown or at antique shops along hwy 65 at Clinton, Botkinburg, Marshal and Harrison.

•take the shuttle or boat over to Sugar Loaf Mountain and make the easy/mod hike 30 minutes to the top. The view is one of the most beautiful you will ever see.

Fairfield Bay is a great base for exploring the Ozark Mountain area. Here are just a few possible day trips: Heber springs/Eden isle (30 min), Greers Ferry Dam and Little Red River (40 min), Mountain View Ozark Music Festival and museum (45 min), Blanchard Springs Caverns (1 hr), Little Rock (1.5 hrs), Branson Missouri
(2:20), Eureka Springs (2.5 hrs), Fayetteville (3 hrs).

Great Accommodations!

Beautiful views! Comfortable beds! The ping pong table was a big hit. Convenient to the pool and tennis’s/pickleball courts. We come to Fairfield Bay every year. We hope to be able to use your beautiful home again next year.

Great Stay!

Loved this property; the online pictures are accurate and the home was well stocked and very clean, which is very important to us! The view from the deck is stunning! Everything from booking the property to check-in through check-out was great! The owner was very responsive to any questions we had and if we ever head that way again we would definitely book again! A peaceful reprieve

This property allowed our family to rest and contemplate together during the occasion of a family funeral. What a blessing to know we didn't have to worry about finding separate places for all of us to stay. We'd like to return every year to recollect and make more memories.

Perfect Family Gathering!

What an awesome home! Everything in description was right on target. Even with temps in the 40s, the morning sun made the deck perfect for late morning coffee. Great space for adults and kids. We had the perfect family New Year's for my parents with the whole family together. Owner's were super to work with. Place is great for family/group recreation time away from the city! We will be back!!

Spring Break Family Trip

This was our second visit at Lago Vista. It’s the view that has us hooked! The house is cozy and beautifully decorated with all the conveniences of home. The updates to the bedrooms only enhance the home. Fred and Kelly were great at responding to every concern. Comfy beds, big tv’s, a fully stocked kitchen and the best decks in AR keeps this home at the top of my favorites list.

Second time around

This was our second visit to Lago Vista this summer. It's such a nice and spacious home. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. The home has two large decks that span the length of the house. The view overlooking the lake is incredible! We did a lot of cooking in the well-equipped kitchen but we did venture out for lunch one day. We went to the Little Red at Indian Hills Cafe. The food was excellent, I highly recommend. This is our favorite place to stay in Fairfield Bay!

Beautiful, Serene Getaway

This is beautiful property with a breathtaking view that exceeded our expectations! We were looking for tranquility after battling the devastation of two major hurricanes and found what we were searching for! We had a delightful stay enjoying the lovely and beautifully decorated spaces! We enjoyed the decks overlooking the lake and mountain with the changing leaves of fall. It was quiet and peaceful and very relaxing! We will definitely be booking another stay sometime in the future! This is the best experience we have ever had! Directions, expectations, and communication with the owner was perfect!

Really Nice Place

It's a lovely home. It has an excellent view of the lake and surrounding area. It is quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of parking—we had 3 vehicles; there is room for more. The house has plenty of space for an extended family Thanksgiving get-together. The owner was responsive and helpful--before arrival, the owner forwarded information on activities and restaurants in the area. I had a few minor questions during my stay, and the owner responded quickly. Check-in was no problem; check-out went smoothly as the owner had a checklist posted for our convenience so that we knew actions that needed to be taken before departure. All parties agreed that the house and location would be an excellent spot to return for next year's Thanksgiving.

Awesome for Families!

Had our children and grandchildren with us. Plenty of room for each family. Separated upstairs/downstairs was great for adults/kids and the sunroom was fabulous for quiet reading time. The view from the balcony was incredible both rain and shine. Saw deer on a daily basis. Craven's Grocery was great for our grocery needs, Crafter's Social House had fabulous locally made items and Baker's Market homemade goodies. Took advantage of the park and Cool Pool for kids. Rented a pontoon from the marina. Fabulous week all around.

Wonderful house and location

Very nice home with an incredible view of the lake. Pictures on VRBO don’t do it justice. The outside upper and lower decks run the entire length of the home and were perfect for an evening meal or morning coffee. Lots of thought went into the kitchen supplies, utensils, knives, etc. Great selection of movies, books, games, acoustic guitar, ping-pong, and other entertaining options. The location is close to the community pickleball, tennis, pool, park, and gym. Property owners were very kind and quick to respond to my questions. And the condition of the home was better than any other VRBO rental I've experienced. Would definitely book this house again if we return to this area.

Wonderful home - great for families

From the moment we arrived, we thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home. Our group was large with a mix of active children, parents, and older grandparents - there was a place for everyone! The double decks were amazing with tremendous views and plenty of seating. We spent a great deal of time outside catching the light breeze and watching the activity on the lake. The kitchen was well appointed allowing us to cook a variety of meals and clean up without difficulty. We were especially thankful for the ice machine as the temps topped 100 degrees while we were there! Despite the heat, the house was cool and comfortable - a very welcome retreat as we returned from the lake. It has a great location, allowing for people to take advantage of all the activities the area has to offer. We swam at the pool, walked the paths to the trails, and of course enjoyed the lake. When we discovered we forgot a few essentials, it was a quick drive to get them. Fred was very attentive and helpful, a gracious and responsive host. We are planning our family reunion for next year and hope this spot will remain available until we can settle on the dates. It was perfect for us! Thanks so much Fred and Lori for sharing your home.

Spring break family get together

My family was coming down from cities up North for the Easter break. We wanted to show them all the best that North Central Arkansas has to offer and have room for everyone to hang out together. The pictures of this home do not do it justice. The views are extraordinary. My family was very impressed with the home and the views!! The kids were so excited to learn that they were climbing to the top of the mountain they had been looking at for 3 days. There is everything you would need to cook and have meals together. The cook has a great view from the kitchen as well. The home is perfect for several families since some of the rooms are downstairs if anyone needs quite. Plenty of room for up to 4 families and privacy for each. You have to climb Sugarloaf Mountain and visit Mountain View and Blanchard Springs Caverns. We did not eat out because the kitchen was so easy to cook in, the view was better than any restaurant, and the home was so comfortable. The one negative of the property is the height of the porches and the sloping landscape. We had 7 children under the age of 9 and the extreme sloping terrain and height of the outside porches was a constant point of worry for us. Also there was no place for the kids to get out and run around if they want to play outside. Although after a couple of days we all got used to it. The views would not be as spectacular if the property was located somewhere else. Possibly the best view in the area!!!

Heavenly View

Home was amazing! Clean, comfortable and plenty of rooms for a large group. The views are worth the stay!! Quiet neighborhood but close to all conveniences: gas station, restaurants and grocery store within 5 mins. You will not be disappointed staying here!

Beautiful place, Beautiful view

This was the perfect spot for my family to come and unwind. The house was beautiful and very clean. It was spacious enough for both couples to have their own comfortable space. The best part is the view. Everyone raved about how lovely the back decks were. Perfect place to spend some time hanging out on a nice day.

Fantastic

Beautiful house with a view that pictures will never do justice. The house is fantastic. Very nice with huge TV's in the two living room spaces and two large decks with a great view of the trees and lake. You can see for miles! You will not regret staying here! Our only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time! We will definitely be back someday.

The view is almost 180 degrees. You can see 2 Sugarloaf Mountains, the one in our backyard and the one 26 miles away in Heber Springs. Our home is set up for your friends and family to have a great time in any weather or season. We re-invest all income into improvements so you will find our furnishings and decorations will exceed most rentals by a mile. Every outdoor activity you can think of is nearby and Fairfield Bay's amenities are top notch. Walk to tennis/pickleball courts, playgrounds, or the beautiful main pool with kiddie area and the Cool Pool Cafe.

We have furnished this home to exceed your expectations and yet it feels very comfortable and casual. Getting up early to see each days unique sunrise (depending on clouds or fog on the water, is a special treat. Drinking coffee on the deck, in the early morning, I frequently see deer and other wildlife off our back decks. Since our elevation is above the lake, we get a breeze most of the time, and it feels cooler than homes that are lower and closer to the water.
