Wonderful property on Spider Lake. Comfortably housed 8 adults and 4 children under the age of 3. Lots of outdoor activities with canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and swim raft. Would definitely book again.

Fun place. Great game room. Bit of a stair climb from the lake. Overall very good. The hot tub wasn’t usable is my only complaint. Needs cleaning and proper chemical balance.

The Tippaconoe Lodge was really wonderful. It was close enough to downtown that you had easy access to various restaurants and shopping, but far enough away that you felt like you were in the relaxing seclusion of a lake house in northern Michigan. The pictures almost undersell the beauty of the property which was a wonderful escape for our three families who were up for a soccer tournament. The relaxing and space in and out created a quiet serenity that was welcomed. We enjoyed our stay a great deal.

House was great for a large group of adults. Plenty of space for everyone to be together. House was very clean upon arrival and check in was easy. Beds and furniture were comfortable, and kitchen decently equipped. Some recent updates made the house seem newer. Only caution for those who have knee issues, there are several steps down to the lake. Overall good place to stay with many add-ons like pool table and kayaks.

Great house on Spider Lake

Our group enjoyed the overall location and spaciousness of this lake house. It's close to everything we wanted to do, plus was in a beautiful setting on top of it! The kitchen had everything we needed, and then some. Beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have garage access to store our bicycles. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful and beautiful.

We did a quick trip to the area with family. We had a great time playing pool, shuffleboard and table games. The main floor is huge with a gorgeous view. We were disappointed the kayaks were not available until memorial weekend with 70 degree weather, but we had fun exploring the area. The deer came on the property and we heard owls and loons. It’s a short drive to town. The wooded setting is awesome!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were 12 of us spending the week at this lovely rental home. Every one of us loved our time spider Lake, from swimming to kayaking to having grandma shuttle the kids to the swim platform in the paddle boat! The layout of the house was perfect for us!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at this VRBO! Not only was there plenty of beds/bedrooms, but there was a great deal of space for everyone to relax and have multiple activities going on at once (playing cards upstairs and playing games or watching a movie downstairs, etc.). The balconies/decks were also very spacious and the view of the lake was beautiful. We were lucky to be there when the Northern Lights were visible and there was a meteor shower and the display was unfogettable. I couldn't recommend this VRBO more!

Birthday Celebration in Traverse City

Our family of 11 gathered from Florida, Texas, Colorado and Michigan for a 50th birthday celebration. The property was a PERFECT fit for our group. The young ones had their own level with plenty of spacious bedrooms and a room full of games to keep them occupied while the adults gathered upstairs. The house is huge, well furnished and well supplied (but never could find tissues!). It was cool during our stay but that didn't stop the kids from enjoying the kayaks and paddleboat.

First trip to Michigan

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay at this waterfront house. The house was comfortable for our group of 10. The lower level family was great for the kids to play games and stay up late without disturbing others in the house. We were able to rent a pontoon to dock at the house and had fun on Spider Lake. The house is not far from Traverse City, the airport, golf, and restaurants. The family favorite was a trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Checking in and out was easy. I would recommend this house.

Iceman bike race 2021

The house was spacious and clean. There was plenty of room for 10 adults. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a feast. The game room was a great place to relax and have fun. The property manager was attentive and helpful with all of our questions and requests. The view from the main level of the lake was amazing. Definitely will come back and stay here again next year.
