When you first walk into Frog Landing, you will be greeted with floor-to-ceiling windows giving you a perfect view of the water. Just off the house is a covered deck with seating and a charcoal grill. The boat dock stretches over the lake, providing an excellent spot for fishing and swimming. The updated and fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need for meals. In the bunkroom, you will find 3 bunk beds (sleeping 6), and there are king beds in each bedroom.

**Disclaimer: By choosing to swim in the lake, you are taking full responsibility for the dangers that may be present. We would also like to remind guests that spiders and other insects may be present. The property is professionally sprayed for spiders and insects; however, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), we are not permitted to spray for bugs on the dock, as it is located over water.

The house was great, but the details in the description needs to be updated. My family was looking forward to enjoying the hot tub, but they did not have one on the property. It was very spacious and clean and we had an amazing time celebrating the holiday under one roof. The host was awesome with communication.If you are looking for a summer lake house - go with this one!

Family getaway

We rented Frog Landing for an end of the summer family trip and the house was perfect. Great location, the owner of the house was great to work with, house was fully stocked with everything you could need. We loved it!

Family weekend

Property was clean, cool, well equipped and easy to find. The owners do a great job of keeping it nice and updated. They include upgrades like, Ninja blender, Kuerig with pods, beach towels, extra bath towels, upgraded mattresses, nice shade umbrella for deck chairs, corn hole and more.

Great hosts and property!

The hubby and I needed a getaway and this place was perfect! We were able to bring our 2 for babies and the fenced yard worked very well. The hosts were great at communication and it was super clean.

Wonderful home with great views directly on the lake.

A wonderful lake house with amazing view of the lake from the open living room, master bedroom and the large patio / deck.A nice kitchen with modern appliances and a large dining table. TV’s in the living room and master bedroom.The dock and boat house are great with good fishing.They are pet friendly, which is a huge plus!Main Street in Gun Barrel City is less than 10 minutes away with anything you could need.We’re looking forward to our next visit.

Perfect Lake House

Our family had a great time at the house, everything needed to have a relaxed stay was provided. Comfortable beds, clean linen and towels. Living room furniture comfy for all the family. Hosts are awesome and very accommodating to your needs. We will be back

Spring Break Away

We have 3 kids ranging from 3 to 9 and had a great time at this lake house. The kids bunk bed room was perfect for our group. We rented a boat and fished on the dock. The kids, husband and I had a great time! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

Fantastic Home!!

We had such a great time during our stay. The host(s) were extremely responsive, and very helpful any time we had a question. The house was wonderful inside and out, had everything we needed to make our trip great. We caught a bunch of fish off the dock, and spent a lot of time around the large kitchen table eating, playing cards, and having family time! This was JUST what we needed to wrap up our summer!!

Frog Landing Weekend

The location, house, and communication with the property manager was excellent. Perfect for one or two families due to the large bunk room with 6 beds. Great fishing, close to Vernon’s Lakeside restaurant, and beautiful views of open water make this property great for weekend getaway’s or week long vacations.

Great Property, Great Location!

Excellent views of the lake, a very clean property. The couch was so amazing, we wanted to take it home with us! Loved the back porch, the sunsets were so lovely. The beds were super comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well and there was an ample amount of all supplies. It was just an overall comfortable and welcoming place, we would happily stay here again!

A great place for Easter weekend.

We loved our weekend at Frog Landing. Met up with adult kids from Dallas and enjoyed the holiday weekend together. Perfect location on the lake and we even caught some catfish! Comfy patio furniture and beds but the sectional sofa was everyone’s favorite and fit the whole crew! Kitchen well equipped for cooking meals at home and some yummy places nearby as well. We will be back!

Beautiful Home!

We loved everything about the property. Indoors was immaculate. We would have liked the patio furniture pillows to be free of so many cobwebs and the large table was dirty from bird droppings. Those issues didn’t stop us from loving this amazing place. We will definitely be back. Thank for sharing with the family.

Awesome house and property for a lake getaway!!

We had a group of 9 ladies stay at this fantastic property last weekend for our annual Canton, First Monday Trade Days trip! The house was a short 25-minute drive to Canton and provided all we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend. The view of the lake from the back porch and indoor living area was beautiful. The house and back patio had lots of comfy seating, the kitchen was very well stocked, and there was plenty of sleeping space for all of us. We look forward to going back to this house next year ... no reason to check out any other options!!

Beautiful house and location!

We had a great time ;) we loved the house being near the bridge watching boaters and lots of fish to catch! Great place. Highly recommend! Relaxing and close to any store/restaurant you'd need! *Small note: the outdoor porch furniture had cobwebs and bugs all over the seating. It hadnt been cleaned and “sit ready” for renters. We used our towels to lay on outdoor furniture to enjoy it with our coffee and the gorgeous view ;). The inside however was beautifully cleaned! 🌟

A great week at the lake

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Frog Landing. It is the cutest house inside and out! The beds are so comfortable and the couch is roomy and perfect for larger groups. The house and property are well-maintained and there is ample parking space for several cars and a boat trailer. It is located on a great section of the lake for boating and viewing the beautiful Texas sunsets. The covered patio and lower deck have quite a bit of space for seating or activities. Dock has lots of useful space and plenty of depth for our wake boat. The property manager is super helpful and kind. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Girls Getaway

Location was great with great views. Outdoor space very relaxing, however I feel the house had not had a good cleaning in a while. Microwave was dirty, food left from previous guests in fridge. Lots of spider webs. We had planned a family dinner in which everyone made a dish. Our plan was to grill steaks and burgers only to find out there was no propane for the grill. So disappointed.

neighbors are swingers

One of the nights we were there the neighbors had a party. There were about 15-20 naked people in the pool and hot tub. The music was loud and went on until 3:30am. I didn't complain because no kids were with us. Make sure there are no parties if you have kids coming. If I had known about the neighbors a head of time, it wouldn't have been a shocker. I didn't go home without a good story!

Hot Spider Landing

We booked to celebrate our 10th anniv but left quickly due to serious issues. At 11am, the host remotely set a/c to 75. We arrived at 5PM to 80. After 4.5 hrs, it was 77, too hot for overnight. The host implied it was ok bc the temp was lower. While some reviews mentioned spiders and the host’s DM said “a recent guest expressed concern about the spiders”, I expected typical lakehouse conditions.We encountered far worse. We moved outdoors for wine&sunset. But it was like a haunted house with spiderwebs covering every surface. I began sweeping the porch railing. After clearing a few sections, there were suddenly HUNDREDS of spiders across the deck. Terrifying!We stayed less than 5 hrs and decided to leave bc there was no comfortable space. We escalated to VRBO. They agreed it wasn’t right but they had to side with the owner who “remains obstinate” and “the refund cannot be processed without the host support”. There was no credit or even compassion. We paid for 3 nights but stayed less than 5 hrs. We ultimately disputed the charge w/our credit card.New reviews mention a cool home & the latticed deck being removed. Coincidence?I’ve used VRBO for 15 yrs and have NEVER had issues. After researching their policies, it’s clear they favor owners. From now on, we’ll only book with the other guys, who evidently handle things more fairly. The view was lovely, but the conditions weren’t. If you’re into sweat & spiders, Hot Spider Landing might be your dream getaway.

Great Thanksgiving Experience

Danielle, thank you for a wonderful experience in your amazing lakeside home. My family booked the property for two nights as a place to spend Thanksgiving. It was exceptionally clean and you can tell the owners have really put in a lot of effort to provide a great experience. The kitchen was amazing with updated appliances and everything you would need to prepare a great meal from a ninja blender to any pot/pan/cutlery/cutting boards/dishes you might need. The large living room overlooks the lake with floor to ceiling windows and was perfect for watching the game or playing boardgames (they have plenty) at night with the fireplace (bring your own firewood). The to private bedrooms both have comfortable king size beds and the bunkroom is great for a group of kids or teens. There's also a large back porch with a BBQ grill and great view of the lake that can easily accommodate 10 or 15 adults. Its a great place to relax at night and the well placed lighting creates a great atmosphere. Lastly, theres a large backyard with access to a big dock we used to fish and would be perfect for swimming in the summer. Overall we had an amazing experience and are very thankful we were able to find a place for our family to all spend time together. I don't think there was a single thing we could suggest adding. Thanks again for a great experience and our family is already talking about coming back in the summer! Thanks Montse!
