This adorable cottage features a cozy coastal decor. Sleep in a queen or full bedroom or the queen sleeper sofa in the living room. We also have a dedicated work space stocked with family games and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day exploring LI Sound. 6 minute walk to the water via Middletown or Hartford Aves. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like AC, WiFi, and a washer dryer. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a hairdryer. Complimentary coffee bar. Close to Waters Edge, Oxford Academy, The Kate theater, Essex steam train, The Preserve, outlets and great places to eat. State beaches free to CT residents 10-15 mins via 95N or S. Harveys Beach weekly pass can be purchased directly from Town of Old Saybrook for small fee. Feel free to reach out to us during your stay - we're happy to suggest local spots to check out. No use of 2nd story lift, golf cart or kayaks. Feel free to bring your own kayaks launch at Hartford Ave or Oyster River

This cottage was a lovely place to stay as we visited family in the area. Owners were extremely accommodating and available for questions. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. Cottage was in excellent condition and very clean. Location was easy walking to beaches.

This little cottage was perfect for me and my husband's anniversary trip - well stocked and a great outdoor space, comfortable beds and awesome location! There is a small beach in walking distance and the cottage is close to both downtown Old Saybrook and Westbrook. Would definitely stay again!

Adorable cottage, perfect for myself and a friend to spend a beach weekend in Old Saybrook. Lots of lovely features - we loved the fire pit for s’mores at night and outdoor shower for easy clean-up after the beach. Karen and David were very responsive and easy to coordinate with prior to our stay. Highly recommend!

The cottage is lovely, perfectly situated on a quiet road with close proximity to the beach. Perfectly decorated and very welcoming. Our hosts were very accommodating and responded almost immediately to our inquiries. we hope to stay here again the next time we come to Connecticut.

This updated cottage was ideal for me and my sister to celebrate our birthdays by the beach. Exactly as described and more! Loved the beach decor, large outdoor yard with fire pit and shower. Beds and especially pillows were super comfortable. Small beaches within walking distance were amazing. Owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. Close to both Old Saybrook and Westbrook. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Little Cottage of Gratitude!! The neighborhood is very quiet, friendly, and walkable to two nice small beaches. The cottage is well stocked with anything you can possibly need, relaxing, and decorated beautifully. Dave and Karen were quick to respond to my messages and even allowed us to add an extra day to our stay and offered an early check in. We stayed 3 days this time but next time we would love to stay longer. Thanks again, Dave and Karen for sharing your awesome cottage with us!!

Great beach weekend!

We stayed for a long weekend and had a great time! Private beaches down the road where small, but my son liked going there for sunrise/sunset. We went to public Harvey beach for full-beach days. Harvey beach was family-friendly, quiet, and he loved exploring the sea life. Nice places to eat nearby- everything easy to get to. We will definitely consider coming back next year!

A Perfect Beach Getaway!

We had an incredible stay at this charming beach cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were cozy, and they had toys available for our young daughter.The location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach and easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. The host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in and check-out seamless. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to unwind by the beach!

Was perfect quick stay for our family. 2 kids 4 &8. The cottage was immaculate, whith so many touches avalible in case you forget anything. The kids enjoyed having the yard, and the office space they took over w their inagintaion. Nice to have coffee, ice and all tje every day simple needs reafily available. Well definitely be back again.

Last minute trip looked on VRBO found this cute little place. The response was quick and before you know it I was there had a great few days and the property may look small on the outside, but it packs a big punch on the inside. Very nice kitchen well stocked Beds were comfortable. There was not anything that we needed. David and Karen were easy to deal with and communicate with they were kind enough to let me have an early check-in just because it worked out the time of year I guess but it was a treat to have the extra.. I love old Saybrook and the house was convenient to everything. The town the restaurants I’d love to definitely go back.

Our host was extremely responsive with questions ahead of time which made our stay that much better. The house was immaculate well located and perfect for us. Highly recommend! We will be back.
