Stunning Hamptons Retreat

Waking up to the sounds of songbirds, picking vegetables from the garden, swimming in a gorgeous pool, swinging on the backporch in an afternoon daydream, relaxing by the fireplace in the evenings...those were days of pure relaxation and beauty in all surrounds. The home offers so many unique experiences: from poolside lounging to apple picking in the orchard to movie watching in the den. With so many choices it felt like we had everything that we could possibly desire at our fingertips. This variety kept us completely satisfied and also offered ways to enjoy private moments or get many friends together for that perfect celebration or event. The gardens are particularly lovely with vegetables and herbs in one spot, numerous fruit bearing apple trees in another and ornamentals at the front and back. Amongst those we found a variety of lettuces, asparagus and rhubarb from which to conjure the perfect meal in the amazing chef's kitchen. The pool offered respite from the heat of sunny days and warm evening swims after dinner. This was a truly luxurious experience that left everyone feeling refreshed and invigorated. The owners were attentive and responsive throughout our visit ensuring the estate was ready for our visit, met our expectations, and that the entire experience was truly best-in-class.

Thank you Janice and Leonard, This means a lot to us knowing that you both are leading architects who travel all over the world and stay in great hotels and private homes. To have you back three weeks ago between your trips to Thailand and Belize was great. Thanks for this nice review. Janice, it was so nice to have your help in planting the vegie garden for our spring and summer guest. The apple and pear trees are in full bloom this week and the grounds and gardens never looked better. We are doing some painting, replacing some carpets and dramatically increasing the the wireless internet speed. We look forward to having you back again in September. We know you have a lot of choices so we are glad you keep choosing our home over and over again. Best, Jim

Family getaway in Sagaponack

We had the most wonderful two week stay at 561 Sagg Main! Jim is the most gracious and attentive host and the house and grounds are spectacular. We wanted for nothing. The house was well stocked with luxurious Molton Brown bath products, gorgeous linens and towels, endless beautiful dishes and everything a cook could imagine in the wonderful chef’s kitchen. Everything was perfect. We had delicious salads everyday with fresh lettuce and vegetables from the garden. And Jim welcomed us with freshly cut flowers from the garden throughout the kitchen and family room when we arrived. We woke every morning to coffee on the lovely back porch followed by a short walk to the beach with our children and dogs. We simply could not have had a more perfect, beautiful and relaxing stay. Jim thought of everything and could not have been a more wonderful host. We are all looking forward to our next stay at 561 Sagg Main. This will be the first of many! Thank you so much, Jim!

Beautiful Home, Perfect Stay

We loved our stay! The house and gardens are lovely, great space for entertaining family and friends. The kitchen, vegetable/herb garden and apple trees are perfect for those of us who love to cook and bake. The bedrooms are luxurious and we love the pool house, very charming. Location is perfect, morning stroll to the beach is our daily ritual and botanical gardens and wineries are close by for a day out. The owners are personable and attentive. We look forward to coming back again.

A private estate in Sagaponack. Make it yours!

I had a wonderful time renting this very beautiful garden property surrounded by tall hedges --- complete privacy, it was like heaven. There is an ample vegetable garden to make your own farm to table dreams come true in a chef's kitchen and dining either relaxed in a breakfast room or a large formal dining room. The entire property is breathtakingly beautiful and perfectly maintained. From fresh cut flowers to Frette sheets and linen pressed for dinner. The pool house is it's own oasis I would sneak off from a house full of guests (did I mention 8 lovely bedrooms?) for a morning cup of coffee and a catch up with the Times and both afternoons and evenings are perfectly framed by a dramatically lit pool. If you are bored (who can be bored with tranquility away from the City?), it's a short 15 minute morning walk to the ocean. The owner's are delightful and extremely accommodating, although in our case there was very little to want for! I cannot recommend them enough!!

And, it was good to see you again last week after your trip to Poland and 2 trips to Paris. We are so excited about your new business venture with the fences that disappear into the ground made in Poland but distributed by you East of the Mississippi in the US. That will add greatly to your noted architical firm doing so much work our here in the Hamptons, in New York City and your work across the country. We seem to collect architects as our tenants and feel honored that they enjoy what we have created here in this beautiful farm land by the sea in Sagaponack. We hope you will visit more since your new home in East Hampton is still under construction. It is going to be spectacular. Thanks for helping us install the new high speed router for the wireless internet on Saturday.

We loved renting this sagaponack home!

We loved our summer renting this sagaponack home. The outdoor spaces are fantastic. The pool and pool house were so much fun for our family and guests. We loved the vegetable garden as did our children! The home is beautiful and the location is perfect. Anyone would be lucky to stay in this hamptons oasis!!

I was so happy that your parents were able to join you and enjoy the compound with their 4 grandchildren. You were perfect guest. We always like it when our guest utilize the house and gardens to their fullest extent. Good luck completing your new vacation home in PA but sorry you aren't going to be in the Hamptons this summer. Great House Great Location!

Great House -very well equipped with kitchen supplies,- (dishes and equipment) which makes it perfect for someone who likes to cook and entertain. Plenty of sheets and towels for house and pool. Nice extra touches like bathrobes to use in every bathroom. You feel like you're in a hotel! Beautiful gardens both flowering and vegetable. Owners are super nice and accommodating. We loved the house so much we rented for 2 summers!
