Charming 2000 Sq. Ft. Cottage On Lake Huron

This cottage has 3 Bedrooms + pullout sofa, a futon, two full kitchen with 2 refrigerators, automatic full house generator and sleeps up to eight people. Our wish is that our Cottage will provide the backdrop for many wonderful memories for friends and family of every age.

This charming yet comfortable cottage featuring panoramic lake views from the upper deck, lower patio and virtually every room. There is a queen size bed, two twin beds, a futon and two pullout sofa beds. Linens and toiletries are provided. This cottage also features two fully equipped kitchens; one on each level.

For the golf enthusiasts, golf courses are only few minutes away. The home is also only minutes away from the Lexington or Port Sanilac Marina. 'Barn Theater' featuring local productions, 'Music in the Park' at Harbor Park on weekends throughout the summer, several great restaurants within walking distance

Additional amenities include furnished decking area and an outdoor fire pit for star gazing or just enjoying the breathtaking sunrises over Lake Huron. The lake is just steps out from the front door with full privacy. There is also a five bedrooms house and three bedroom cottage available. If you need more room see VRBO # 450471 and VRBO #484682.

Great house and rock hunters paradise!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was nicely stocked. Our family was comfortable and the house had ample room for all of us. The property has the best views of Lake Huron, so beautiful! It was great that there were kayaks there to use. Definitely a rock hunters paradise as the beach was full of rocks! Keep a positive attitude about all the stairs, Great way to get your exercise in for the day!!!

Wonderful place for our family vacation!

We rented all three homes on this property. It was clean, spacious and had plenty of space for our large family. We loved beach, porches and fire pit plus there was so much room for the kida to run around outside. The game room was awesome for the kids and adults! Plus the hottub with and outside shower to rinse off. A huge plus was the amount of bathrooms! Everyone had their own space! We have already booked for next year!! What a great find!!!!

Beautiful

This property is the perfect getaway. The house is so close to the water that it feels like you're on a boat. We enjoyed listening to the waves while falling asleep. So many extras are provided to make your stay enjoyable. The kids loved all the kayaks and water floats. The check in process was quick and painless and the manager checked in on us throughout our stay. We cant wait to stay again.

Family vacation

We enjoyed the balcony and taking in views of the lake. This vacation included extended family and so having rented this property along with the main house made for a spacious, relaxing stay.

Memorable Family Reunion

The cottage hangs right over the water, and the view is spectacular. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. Management is friendly, helpful and responsive.

Nice property but restrictive

The property itself is very nice and the location is perfect. The only problem is that no one outside of the people staying on the property isn't allowed. I was there for a family reunion and wanted to have my 65 year old cousin and my 85 year old aunt to visit with myself and my 92 year old mother for coffee and it wasn't allowed. No exceptions or you are charged $$$ pp.

Incredible setting just feet from the water!!

The manager was most helpful and quick to respond. The cottage setting was priceless. The inside of the cottage was updated and very comfortable. The large windows over the water was a priceless view. The second floor balcony was great for dinners outside. The beach is not private as there are a couple other homes behind this cottage that use the same beach but it was never a problem as lots of beach to share. The stairway up and down to parking is a bit of challenge and would not be good for older or handicap people. The location on the lake is between the little villages of Port Sanilac and Lexington. There is nothing within walking distance. Would rent again

Great beachfront property

View is wonderful

Need new towels and sheets. Kitchen is fully equipped. Roomy and comfortable. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Water is stinky but good heat and pressure. A lot of spider webs.

Perfect family vacation destination

The house was perfect for our family members, including 2 pre-teens. The 2 kitchens made things super convenient - breakfast and middle of the day snacks in the lower level made it super easy for the family. The house offers the most perfect view of the water - my husband and I slept in the lower level bedroom and enjoyed gorgeous sunrises everyday from our bed. And we saw the moon rising seating by the fire pit ad enjoying the sound of the waves less than 20 feet from us. It felt we were on a very large balcony of a ship. The house offers all the amenities needed , including laundry facilities and generator. Sam, the property manager made the check in process a breeze. Super attentive, pleasant and willing to accommodate our family’s needs and desires. The property offered us everything we needed and more. We highly recommend this wonderful property.

Two Fabulous Weeks in July

This place is wonderful. The view is unbeatable, so breath-taking-beautiful sunrise every morning-cool moon-rising at night. We never tired of sitting on the deck(s) and being mesmerized by the waves. We wished that the water had been warmer for swimming and that this property had a beach of its own (shared beach with the big house). We enjoyed most of our meals at the property utilizing the gas grill 4-5 times. There are a few local restaurants nearby for eating out. Be prepared, there are A LOT of steps between where you park your car and where you enter the property. For me (and I knew this before agreeing to rent), this was the only negative. If I had a large group, I would definitely consider this place again. The property manager Sam is top notch! He was so helpful during our stay immediately responding to our questions/needs.

Location. Location. Location!

I was looking for a lakefront property and, wow, did I find it! You cannot get any closer than this delightful cottage. We felt like we were on a cruise for 4 days. It was peaceful and very relaxing. Take a kayak, build a fire, or just stare at the water. It's all there.

Wonderful Vacation!

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation! Being so close to the water was such an amazing, unique experience. Charming town, property, and cottage. It was the perfect getaway to relax and unplug from the hussle and bustle of everyday life. Excellent vacation!!

The Property was outstanding. As advertised.

There was plenty of room for our family. The home was clean top to bottom. Everything was as advertised. The swimming and Kayaking was fantastic. The location is quite but, still near enough to Lexington to fill all needs. We loved our trips to Lexington to explore and eat. We highly recommend this location to all who want a truly great views and relaxing days. We spent the nights watching for meteor showers and just enjoying the sound of the waves.

This private, beach front cottage is a slice of heaven!!

WOW!!! This cottage is literally right on the water with a nice private beach! No climbing flights of stairs or dunes to go between your cottage and the beach. We found this super convenient for our family of 5, including three boys ages 4, 7 and 9, because we didn't have to pack any bags to go to the beach -- we could come and go from the cottage all day long for food, drinks, bathroom, rest time, etc. Though there is another cottage and house on this property, it still felt VERY private and secluded, especially since the view from the porches of this cottage are trees on both sides, and lake/beach in front. This cottage came with EVERYTHING -- kayaks, life jackets, a fire pit, firewood, beach toys, beach chairs, a grill, washer/dryer, and even a hammock! And of course plates, silverware, coffee pots, bath towels, cleaning supplies, etc. The cottage has two floors, each with a kitchen and bathroom. We stayed here as a family of 5, but you could definitely do two families -- each on their own floor! The top floor has two bedrooms, and the bottom floor has one. ALL 5 of us decided to sleep on the bottom floor (parents in the bed, one boy on the couch and 2 boys in sleeping bags on the floor). We slept with the doors open (screen doors closed) and heard the waves gently crashing all night long. The beach and water were very clean and enjoyable! There are stones along the water's edge, so you may want to bring water shoes. We enjoyed looking through the stones for sea glass and heart-shaped rocks. For the most part the water was very calm, we even put our beach chairs out in the water and enjoyed the gentle lapping of the tiny waves against out legs and feet. The fire pit was amazing! We enjoyed a night of star gazing set to the backdrop of a crackling fire and crashing waves. It was INCREDIBLE! We will definitely be coming back to stay at this cottage again in the future!!

There's no place like...

Just when we didn’t think this cottage could get any better, Sam and his crew proved us wrong! We have been renting this property every year since finding it in 2013 (as well as the 6600 sq ft house that also resides on this property, VRBO 450471). Every year we arrive to find new updates to the property. This year they put in new windows and a sliding glass door which made an already fabulous view of the lake even better. Furthermore, the new layout of the basement is phenomenal and is the perfect spot for someone that wants a little “alone time” from the rest of the crew.

Any closer and you'd be on a boat

Sam was very accommodating and had everything ready for us when we arrived. The view was unmatched, as the cottage is so close to the Lake. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again. It was noticeable there were some improvements going on to the cottage, as there are some things that could be freshened up. That being said, it was a wonderful vacation, Sam was fantastic, and the view was the best in the "Thumb". Highly recommend this property, and assuming some renovations of some minor things, it would be the best property in Michigan!

beautiful lakeside retreat

We so enjoyed our time at this cottage--we made great meals in the well equipped kitchen, and there was so much room to read and relax. I enjoyed swimming from the lovely clean beach, as well as kayaking in the kayak that comes with the cottage. Great place for a group to stay or a little family like ours. Sam is also exceptionally friendly and professional to work with. We look forward to coming back and probably bringing more of our friends!

This is the most relaxing vacation destination we have been to in years! Sandy beach right out the front door, fires every night and the sound of the surf 24/7. We didn't want to leave. And so much room! Our family of 6 had no problem finding a quiet place to read or nap or to gather for board games and meals.

Cottage with breathtaking view. R and M

The cottage , right on the beach , is exactly as it is pictured on line. It was so convenient for our large family. It was well maintained and spacious with an incredible wrap around porch which was the perfect to spot to enjoy coffee in the morning as well as lazy late afternoons while overlooking Lake Huron. We had actually rented 2 properties on this site and with the close proximity to the sandy beach our grandchildren had the benefit of being able to access both properties which afforded all of us lots of room to spread out . There was a firepit on the beach as well as kayaks .i would certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives. Sam, the manager and I had excellent communication before we arrived , checking in and throughout our stay. There were many amenities close by in the nearby town . We would certainly book this property again.

Great getaway!

We had a great, relaxing 3 days on an annual girls getaway in June. Being right on Lake Huron was wonderful. Sitting on the deck overlooking the lake was great, as was having kayaks there to use. Sam was great to work with.

I will dream about waking up to drink coffee on that porch

We rented both this property and 484682 for a girls weekend and adored it. You can walk right out the sliding door and onto the beach. You could even hear the waves while sleeping on the upstairs pull out couch. The sunrise is absolutely beautiful (worth the 5:30 wake up). Kitchens on both floors made access to food and beverages so easy. We spent each night at the fire pit and enjoyed the privacy that the descent down to the beach naturally provided. It was especially nice to have the three kayaks to take out on the lake. We were even lucky enough to have the beach front access to ourselves because the large house was not rented for the weekend as it was under construction.
