Vacation stay with family

Great location and plenty of room but bedrooms did not have doors and there were only two beds with only space for 4-5 people not 6 so website was misleading. Difficult to reach host easily although others were very nice and helpful upon research.

The floors weren't as clean as one would expect, but everything else was ok. Not elegant but it met our needs. Close to everything. In California but just steps away from Neveda. South Tahoe is one of the most beautiful spots in the USA. You should certainly add to your bucket list.

Lake ridge hotel

Place looks fine in the pictures but it’s actually pretty run down. They don’t have a reception, you check in through an app. I had to call for the code and then sent a message requesting for a cleaner because the floor was terribly dirty, like they didn’t sweep for a couple of weeks and they never sent anybody. I had to sweep with a dirty rag that was left on a counter and there was some old drinks in the fridge. The A/C is too noisy and people kept knocking at our door looking the manager’s office. Location is fine but I don’t recommend staying here, better look for another place, this was expensive after all the fees and is not worth it.

Not clean and disorganized

The floors were not cleaned. If you walked barefoot, your feet would be black. We told Lauren the property manager that the floors were dirty and she said housekeeping would come by and clean. They did not come at all. We had to borrow a friend mop and we cleaned the floors ourselves. The fans have not been dusted at all. We ended up dusting two fans because it was just because there was so much build up with dust, it was gross. Prime location but not worth the money.

Credit card charged, but no reservation?

We arrived before check in, but still never got instructions for check in but we did receive itinerary a day before with confirmation number. I attempted several times before check in to contact property manager with no response. We arrived at location at check in time, several families were told thier rooms were not available for another hour. When I inquired about our room, I was told they do not have a reservation for us, even though I showed her the email confirmation I got with the correct address and pictures of there rooms. We ended up finding another place to stay nearby thankfully since we were there for my daughter’s soccer tournament. I was able to talk to a representative from. VRBO and they easily refunded my money.

We made the most of our Lake Tahoe vacation, despite a disappointing rental experience. Unfortunately, the property did not live up to its claim of being a “gem.” It was frustrating to spend over an hour trying to access the rental, as we received no response from the host. After an hour on the phone and through chat services with VRBO, it became clear that the phone number provided by the host was out of service, which was far from reassuring, especially with a 4 PM check-in time.Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a strong, unpleasant odor. The fridge, sink, and floors were not clean, leaving much to be desired. Although the floor plan is spacious, the seating options are lacking. The swing chairs, while unique, did not provide enough room for additional seating. The couch and the inexpensive kitchen table were also uncomfortable.The bathrooms were not in better condition. The upstairs shower had uneven water temperatures, with the knob allowing only two extremes: scalding hot or cold water. The downstairs bathroom was poorly assembled; the towel rack frequently fell, and the cabinet shelving lacked stability.The only positive aspect of this property is its location. However, I recommend continuing your search, as this “gem” is not worth the trouble.
