Cabin was more spacious than I thought it would be. Views from the front porch were awesome as the fall leaves were brilliant with color. Would stay here again.

House was lovely, comfortable, lacked nothing in way of amenities. I appreciated the spice choices! Heat worked fine, plenty of hot water, shower eas great. Your choice of decorating is perfect.

Great place

Prefect location for us on a short trip for a wonderful 50th birthday celebration with friend. House is a prefect location to Cashers, Franklin and the beautiful waterfalls and glenville lake. The house decorated nicely and prefect for two couples so relaxing !!!

Mountain oasis

My family and I love staying here! It always feels like home away from home. We’ve stayed 4 years in a row now and will be back! It has all the comforts of home and such a beautiful view. Feels private but is still close to lots of great things, too!

The house was lovely, had everything we needed and it was comfortable. The only downside was it was 9 very windy miles to Highlands and 7 miles to Franklin. It was a beautiful time to be there but we mad it a point to be at the house by dark.

My husband and I shared this cabin with another couple and we had a great time by the fire pit and spending alot of time out on the porch looking at the mountains. Very clean and you can tell the owners take very good care of the property. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

Great home away from home!

One of the best trips with my husband! Went for our 11 year anniversary and enjoyed every second. House had everything we needed and more! Great views with porch swing and fire pit. Close to many waterfalls, hikes, and shopping. We will be back again!

Cute cottage

We had a great three day stay at the Mountain Air cottage, when we were in town for a wedding. The property is well appointed with everything you need. Nice and clean.

mountain air cabin

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was a treat to have my morning coffee setting on the front porch swing watching the fog rise on the nearby mountain. Everything we needed was there. If you like being in the mountains this is the place to stay.

A serene escape

A very charming cabin in a wooded setting. They go above and beyond the normal amenities. There was more than enough in the way of TP, paper towels, garbage bags, soaps, shampoos, even laundry soap. Would highly recommend staying there.

Perfect get-away

Absolutely perfect! Nice little private spot! Surrounded by trees in the mountains! My fiancé and I spent out nights by the firepit outside which was beautiful Bed was comfy and house well stocked so we could cook a proper dinner. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic Get Away

The cabin was everything we had hoped it would be from the pictures Crissy had posted. It was in a development but very private. We really enjoyed the front porch and the views. The cabin in located convenient to Franklin, although we ate most of our meals in Franklin the kitchen was nice sized and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin and furnishings were great. We hope to stay there again next year.

do GO chasing waterfalls!

My (mostly spry) elderly parents and I had a lovely stay at Chrissy’s home! It was an easy drive to several easy-moderate hikes in the area and we got to see many waterfalls during our stay. The weather was perfect (think sweatshirt and shorts while drinking coffee on the porch in the AM or watching the fireflies in the evening). The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Thanks to the Trujillos for sharing their home! Def recommend.

Sweet and peaceful cottage

I can't say enough about how enjoyable our week at Chrissy's cottage was. The decor was cozy and ready for fall. The porch was so comfortable. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the quiet and the view. It was close enough to things yet still remote. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable - I even messaged Chrissy to find out where she'd gotten them. We truly needed this time away from the world and this little place delivered. Enjoyed a couple of days with our adult daughter. And both she and my husband enjoyed the daily visits of Summer the dog from up the road who came by for belly rubs and a short sit on the porch with us. We drove up to the Oconaluftee entrance to the Smoky's and saw the elk. We checked out both Highlands & Cashiers and of course Franklin which was lovely. We tried a few hikes in the area. All in all, a sweet & peaceful vacation.

Cute, but lacking

It was a nice, cute little cabin, but there were four major negatives. We were turned off from the beginning when we were told to bring our own firewood, but the price was good so perhaps that was why. Probably the worst thing was that we had no TV the entire time we were there because the remotes did not work; perhaps they were out of batteries, but they were dead. Another “worst thing” was that there was no bar soap in either of the showers, so we had to go out and buy our own. There was liquid hand soap, but nothing for the showers. The real killer was that we were told to take our garbage with us. Also, the washcloths were ratty and stained with mascara, and she really needs a new cleaning crew. The price was good, as I said, but even with that price we should have had TV, soap, and we shouldn’t have had to take our garbage with us (especially as there were covered trash cans outside the house).

Pamela, I wish that you would have let me know about these issues during your stay so that we could have assisted you. When we communicated during your trip, you stated you were enjoying your vacation and did not mention any problems. We do have a cabinet that has extra batteries for the remotes, however we stayed following your stay and the remotes worked fine, but there is a learning curve since there are several remotes. My property manager could have delivered firewood for your stay in July. They could have also provided trash removal for your stay, but yes, it would have incurred an additional fee and we try to keep the rates as low as possible for the majority of our guests. Since it is a mountain retreat on a gravel road, the county does not provide trash service like you might be accustomed to. The metal trashcan that is outside is for fireplace ashes only and we discourage any other trash left outside, because it might attract wildlife. We do not include bar soap, but we do include liquid body wash, shampoo & conditioner in the closet. We get so much great feedback about our cleaning company, and I am so grateful that they were able to accommodate your last minute date change during a busy holiday week. We feel we are providing a modern and fun retreat in the mountains at a great value.

Definitely a place to comeback

I have rent other properties from Vrbo before with some not great experience. This one the best we staying so far.
