The unit is in a great location with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. It was clean and stocked with everything I needed for a short stay in Destin.However, my experience was negatively impacted by a serious issue: the washer or dryer in the unit damaged multiple items of my personal clothing. I ran a standard load of laundry the night before check-out, and every single item in the load with strapsātwo Vuori sports bras, a Target sports bra, and a swimsuitāwas snapped or sliced. These were the only ādelicateā items in the load, and all were damaged in exactly the same way (photos attached).I contacted the management company immediately. They responded by stating there was āno evidenceā the appliances caused the damage. But the reality is this: the items were in perfect condition when they went in, and they came out damaged. No sharp objects were in the load, and itās beyond coincidence that only the strapped garments were affected. Some issue with the washer or dryer clearly caused this.What makes this even more frustrating is the double standard. Guests are required to pay a refundable security deposit to cover any damage to the unitāwhich I completely understand. But when the unit damages a guestās belongings, there is no responsibility taken. If I had damaged something in the condo, I doubt Iād get my deposit back (which, at the time of this review, still hasnāt been returnedāthough I expect it will be, as I left the unit in perfect condition).
