Best spot on Long Lake in The Friendly Village of Harrison. This home has been in our family since it was built in 1990. The home was designed to accommodate Mom, Dad and all four kids with plenty of room for grandchildren. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning unit, a private bath with shower, 32” TV, and an awesome view of Long Lake. Beautiful new multilevel trec decks across whole front of house facing water. Spend most of your days at the sandy shallow beach with shade or sun just 100 feet from the front deck. A private dock allows for easy access to your boat for water activities. Dock accommodates two 25 foot boats. The volleyball court is great for some friendly group competition. A typical night at the Mayflower Inn is enjoying each others company around the fire pit with a cool beverage and/or a midnight swim. Rain or Shine enjoy the screened in 24 x 44 garage/playroom with a game of ping pong , card game or a drink from the wet bar with refrigerator , coffee pot, blender, or relax in a rocking chair. New WiFi 500 mbps. On those rainy days, the property is close to shopping, movie theater, or dining. In less than 30 minutes you will find golfing, river canoeing and camping, old time drive in movie, hiking, biking, mountains, hunting and fishing. We gather here as a family throughout the year and sincerely hope you will enjoy The Mayflower Inn as much as we do.

Wonderful stay

Can’t say enough about our wonderful stay at the Mayflower Inn. We were a family of 16 ranging from age 7-70’s and everyone of us enjoyed every second of our trip! Can’t wait to return next year!

Second year, can’t wait for next

We just returned from our second year staying here and it was even better than the first. Everyone in our group of 18, ranging from age 8-76, had an amazing time. The weather was perfect, we were all in the lake all day, every day. We definitely appreciated the addition of the AC units in the bedrooms this year! Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful house

We had a fantastic stay. The house is huge, and the common areas are even nicer than shown in the pictures. Mornings on the deck and evenings on the shore staring at the calm water, ducks, and changing leaves were major highlights. The location is perfect.

Lake Life at its best

The house itself was as advertised but the location and property exceeded expectations. This was the perfect house for a family gathering on the lake with plenty of space for everyone and lots of activities. Would come again!

Great Family Week at this House

This is our 13th year of renting in this area and this house has it all. The large beach area is outstanding and very kid friendly. We wanted for nothing and the big added bonus of air conditioning in each bedroom was top notch. The amount of toys, games, etc. in the screen room added to our stay as there was something for everyone. Will be back next year!

Another wonderful stay at the Mayflower Inn!

This is our 4th year staying at the Mayflower Inn on Long Lake and it just keeps getting better! Beautiful weather to kayak, fish and a sandy private beach to swim! It was so much fun watching our grandkids and adult kids enjoying every single minute of each day! The property, has everything that you need with a game room including ping pong for our annual tournament! We would not stay anywhere else for our lakeside vacation! Thank you!

Perfect family vacation spot

Me and my extended family (14 of us from ages 1-76) loved our stay at the Mayflower. House stocked with everything you'll need for a great week on the lake, and the yard and sandy lakefront are truly one of a kind. Huge private sandy beach that leads to crystal clear water. Short walk to small town of Harrison where we enjoyed ice cream and dinner, We also rode our paddle boards to the general store and ice cream! We can't wait to get back!

Fabulous location off the main road and within walking distance to the local stores and ice cream shop. It easily housed our entire family comfortably. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking and eating utensils. Will definitely rent again.

Most relaxing vacation ever!!

We came as a family, ages ranging from 4-86 and all had an amazing time. The house had everything you could ever need on vacation. We truly had the best weather, 80’s & 90’s and sunny every day! We spent every day floating in the Lake. It truly was an amazing vacation. Each one of us was sad to leave today 😔 We can not wait to book again for next year!,

Amazing

We couldn't have asked for a better place to rent for our large family. It had everything you could think of and then some. Spectacular view, awesome beach and relaxing atmosphere. The children, nieces and nephews had an amazing time. If there a rainy day, you have the large screened in area to hang out in. The yard was perfect for games and the little ones enjoyed the beach. Highly recommended.

Another fantastic vacation!

This was our third time staying here and once again we loved it! This time we brought along close friends and their children and everyone had a great time. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The only slight negative continues to be the lack of air conditioning, even if just in the bedrooms. It was above 90 almost our entire stay so we definitely felt it. That being said, we still look forward to staying here again!

Best vacation ever.

My family and I have been renting homes for the past 10 years for a summer vacation and this was the best by far. The house was fantastic, the property was amazing, offering so much for everyone to do. From the game room, to the yard, bocce and volleyball set up, the dock for fishing and boating and the beach front made for an absolutely perfect week. The home was clean and beautiful with amazing lake views from every room. The big porch allowed for great seating any time of day. The fire pit was fantastic every evening. And clean sandy water front that let to them floating dock Made for lots of water fun for everyone. This house is truly perfect for any family or group looking for complete fun is one place.

We are all in agreement that your property had the best of everything. Our family (15-17 of us) have been vacationing together for 13 years and you have a great beach area, dock for boats, close marinas and an ice cream store close by - not to mention the hospital that came in handy for a couple of us :). The house was gorgeous and spacious and having a bathroom for each bedroom was wonderful. The game room was terrific and we spent a lot of time there. The weather even cooperated and we spent hours in the water. Thank you for being so responsive to our questions. We do hope to return soon.

Another amazing family vacation!

This is our 3rd annual family vacation at the Mayflower and, once again, everything about our stay was spectacular (even with cloudy weather, our family enjoyed fishing, the game room- ping pong tournaments- and a geocache hike at nearby Hawk Mtn.). A quick walk or kayak to the Village Tye Up- Ice-cream shoppe and visit to the arcade in Naples + Pokémon cards at the Dragon’s Lair in Norway filled the gaps. All of the comforts of home + an amazing lake front location (sandy and shallow for the little ones ) for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, exploring etc., We would not consider any other destination for our annual lake vacation! Thank you Tina for your responsiveness with our reservations and questions and thank you to the Pilgrim’s for sharing your extraordinary lakeside home with us! Beautiful and everlasting memories!

Happy Vacationer

Great vacation spot for large gatherings. Plenty of sleeping accommodations and lots of indoor games available when you’re tired off being outside in the water. The kitchen table fit our crew and there were plenty of dishes, utensils and pots and pans to use. We’ve rented this spectacular spot in previous years and have come back because we enjoy it so much. There used to be a bocce court outside and was disappointed this year to find it had been removed. Though it was missed, we did find other ways to entertain ourselves. Instead, we had lots of badminton tournaments There was plenty of space around the fire pit area where we enjoyed our annual s’mores. Looking forward to renting it again.

A Dream Came True

Our two week vacation at the Mayflower Inn helped make past family memories come alive and made our Long Lake experience, once again, priceless. We searched long and hard to find the perfect place for our daughters, son-in-laws, and eight grandchildren (10 years old to 2 years old) to gather. The Mayflower Inn did not disappoint. It's spacious indoor and outdoor living space and the casual garage/ hanger "fun room" was perfect for our large family. The waterfront and shallow lake depth is perfect for young children. From the time we raised the flag in the morning until we listened to "Retreat" as the flag came down; we were having fun at the lake, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, jumping off to the docks, playing bocci ball. Walking or boating to Harrison to the candy store (AKA the Village Tie up) turned out to still be a favorite with this youngest generation. The Creamery definitely is great for an ice cream treat. Re-living past memories, making new ones, sitting under the Maine sky at the bonfire; Life is Good at the Mayflower Inn.

Perfect Lake House!

We had an AMAZING time at the Mayflower Inn. We had 8 adults and 5 kids and we all had a wonderful time. The way that the house is set up is perfect for groups. I love that the bedrooms are away from the main living space so that it can be quiet for napping children. Also, I love that each bedroom had a big window overlooking the lake and it's own full bathroom. One of the best features of this house is the sandy beach. If you're looking for a place to bring kids then look no further. We had kids ranging from 1 - 10 and they all enjoyed the lake and sand. You pretty much have your own cove of sandy beach and the water is shallow all the way out to the raft (so you can walk to it with the water up to your chest). The water is super clear and it's sandy all the way to the raft and all the way along the cove (no yucky seaweed!). We used the canoe and the paddle boat and also just had a good time playing in the water. Also, since this house is south-facing you get the sun all day! It was perfect for relaxing on the beach. There's a swing set for the kids, which even has a baby swing (my littlest guy loved it!). The game room / bar area is also really great. After the kids went to bed each night we'd head out there and play poker or pool or just hang out and have fun. The kids also loved the game room during the day, they spent a lot of time "exploring" the property and had a real blast. Another really great thing about this place is the location. When you're at the house and on the lake it feels very quiet and secluded, however if you take a short walk down the street (short enough for 3 year olds to walk) you can go get ice cream and look at the boats at the marina. We also took a walk down to a restaurant for dinner one night, which was nice. The fire pit is great! There's plenty of adirondack chairs for everyone (even kid-sized!) so that you can hang out by the fire and make smores. This is, by far, one of the best houses I've ever stayed at in Maine. I HIGHLY recommend the Mayflower Inn.

Best Week Ever!

My family has vacationed using VRBO properties for the last 11 years in the New Hampshire and Maine lake regions, and I have to say that this was the best! The house is wonderful with plenty of room for our family of 15 (ages 3 to 70) to relax and play; the shallow water was perfect for all of our grandkids and still deep enough to park a pontoon boat at the dock. The town of Harrison and its wonderful ice creamery is within walking and kayaking distance-we took advantage every day! We had one little glitch when we arrived at the house and the property manager was easy to contact and so very helpful in helping us solve the problem. This is a beautiful home and we are hoping to return!

Our Mom and Dad both are the children of legal immigrants who came to America in the early part of the 1900's. Dad was of Scottish descent and mom of Italian. Both families lived and prospered on the south shore of Boston. They purchased the property in 1973. In 1980 they added two cabins onto todays foundation and in 1990 built the current home and moved the cabins to the back of the property. Dad passed away in the late 1990's and us four kids started our own careers and families so life got busy and The Mayflower Inn wasn't being used as much. Mom decided to rent the Mayflower Inn to help defer some of the cost and upkeep. We still reserve several weeks every summer for our families to get together, make new memories and enjoy this beautiful home.

Growing up we were never bored. There is 250 feet of sandy beach. The water is shallow enough for the young ones to enjoy. It faces south sun most of the day. The dock can accommodate two boats up to 25 feet. The friendly village of Harrison and all the amenities is an easy walk or boat ride. Lots of living space to spread out. A short drive to Bridgton or North Conway NH. We always had lots of fun things to do as an individual or a family.
