One month winter getaway

The property was clean and well kept. The condo itself was perfect for myself and friend. The living room seating could be improved. Kitchen, bath and bedrooms were just right for our needs. Hearing the ocean was great sleep sedative at night.

Great view of the ocean

Coin operated washer/dryer, really! Kitchen was very small. I wouldn’t rent it again. $100.00 charge if you don’t empty all the trash cans!

Just right

My husband and I brought our 8 & 9 year old granddaughters for their first trip to the coast. The condo was perfect size and location. Everything we needed and convenient to many things we wanted to do. We enjoyed our stay!

Was exactly as expected from the site and description. Great location, great view of the ocean and beach. Very clean and had everything we as a family of 3 needed. Tom checked on us as soon as we got checked in and made sure everything was ready and ok. Would absolutely stay again if we go back to that area.

Great Views

We really enjoyed our stay and the location was great. The condo was very nice and the kitchen was well-stocked. We would have given this place 5 stars except for a strong cigarette smoke smell that is inherent in it - especially in the master oceanfront bedroom. Due to allergies, the smoke smell made our stay less pleasant than it, otherwise, would have been.

Great stay

The condo is in a great location with a nice balcony overlooking the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the basics you’d find at home. The owner is welcoming and always willing to offer suggestions for restaurants and activities. We’d definitely stay here again.

Labor Day Weekend 2023

Perfect size for a family of 4 on a mini- vaca. If you plan on cooking, definitely take stock before going to the store as there aren't any supplies there. Close to EVERYTHING needed- restaurants, mini golf, shopping. The pool was never crowded and stayed clean. Plenty of room on the beach since we weren't crowded by any high rise buildings.

Great for a small family

We have stayed at several other units in this building but all of them were one bedrooms. It was very nice to have two beds and two baths in a building we were familiar with and the view from this condo is unmatched in this building! It was comfortable for our small family of four. The beds were comfortable and the pull out sofa in the living room was a nice bonus. It was also great to have access to Roku, Netflix and all of our other favorite streaming apps. We spent most of our time out of the condo and only ate inside once but the kitchen had enough appliances to cook my family’s favorite pasta meal. Only a couple of small issues were immediately taken care of by the owner and rental company. The owner communicated with us before and during our stay and answered any questions. We always love staying in the Crescent Beach area as it is close to everything and fairly quiet. We would definitely look at renting Tom’s condo again for a family trip. Thanks for everything!

Much needed vacation

Tom is a great host and communicator. His condo was perfect for my best friend and I. Staying in a place on the beach is always a must have and it did not disappoint. I would rent this place again! Only challenge we had were the mattresses. My recommendation is if hard/firm mattresses are not your thing then take a mattress topper. I will do that next time 😊.

Great Location with a beautiful view

Very nice condo with an amazing view of the ocean! Tom had excellent communication with me, and checkin/out was super easy. My family really loved this location, it’s close to everything and in a very family friendly area. Highly recommend!

Pictures misleading

Pictures make condo look better than it is. Parking really tight. Make sure you have plenty of quarters for washer/dryer

Great vacation!

The condo, 901 at Carolina Reef, met our expectations. A little glitch with one bathroom was taken care of very quickly after a quick email to the owner Tom. Tom is very prompt returning messages and getting things done if needed. The condo was located central to most restaurants and attractions. Great views from the balcony. Checking in and out was very easy, even if doing it after or before the management company was open. The management company was only 2 minutes from the condo. I had a few questions before our arrival and was given straight answers and an email with the process. I'd stay again.

The apartment itself was nice and clean. The indoor issues were promptly rectified. The pool was never properly clean so we did not use it. The wall around the pool completely blocked the view of the ocean and felt very confining. The view from the condo was awesome.

Great Location - dated apartment

My impression is that it is not taken care of. Coffee pot can be replaced. Cleaning people can do a better job. Beds are not comfortable.

Nice on the Beach

The place was clean, nice for a week stay , unit was smaller than I thought it would be , kitchen was functional but small, We made it work with the 4 of us. Balcony had 4 chairs and we did utilize that well. All said if you need want clean, well kept this is a nice place. The parking was good, people were polite and I used the community gas grill that worked well, wasn't junk. Had a few cleaning tools in it as well.

Location

This was our first vacation without kids and the location was perfect. It was not overly crowded and everyone was super nice. Everything we needed was close by even the VRBO office. I fell in the love with the Irish Pub that was walking distance and we would walk the beach. We got to eat at places we have never ate before, rented electric bikes (rode on beach), to the Intracoastal waterway. Absolutely, gorgeous!! In my opinion, the condo was perfect size for us. Every window you had a view of the beach! Every morning had coffee on the balcony, saw dolphins, and watched a wedding. Found some sharks teeth, read two books, and was completely relaxed! Picture perfect and would definitely stay there again. Owner answered all questions promptly and VRBO was great. Did not want to leave and ready to go back !!

Tom is great

I must say I was very impressed with the personal contact from the owner Tom. He kept in touch prior to our stay, also the day we arrived, and the day after check out. He gave us a few great places to visit. The views from the balcony were the reason we booked this condo. The pictures were spot on. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your stay. I will definitley stay again

Great experience

Condo was a nice size for a small number of people. Very few people on beach at end of October. They were doing property maintenance when we stayed and unfortunately there was no access to the pool or hot tub that week. Despite that, we had a relaxing time. Condo was clean and quiet and would certainly consider using the condo for future trips.

3 night stay

Great rental except oceanfront bedroom was unusable due to cigarette smoke filtering in vent from adjacent condo. Left with only one bedroom and a very uncomfortable 2 out of 3 nights. Also, work being done on exterior of building rendered balcony unusable and patio furniture stacked in living room.

A trip to the beach with my cousin from Scotland! We wanted to show her how much fun North Myrtle Beach (and the whole Grand Strand area) is. We all had a blast!

About me: Live outside Atlanta, GA; scared father of 2, 17 year old's. Like to build and host websites for small to medium size organizations on the side. Licensed private pilot and FAA certified drone operator. Also enjoy boating, photography, and travelling with our family.

Carolina Reef is located at 1501 S. Ocean Blvd. in North Myrtle Beach.

We bought the condo in 2004 somewhat on a whim. At the time we were really nervous about the purchase wondering if it was the right thing to do. You see, we had just become proud parents of twin girls 6 months earlier. Our lives were already crazy enough - what were we thinking buying a condo 6 hours away and committing to a huge remodeling effort...

Well, 20 years later we couldn't be happier. We've met some great people that own units at Carolina Reef as well as many wonderful guests through VRBO. We've also had many great vacations at the beach ourselves. It’s been fun to watch our girls (now 18 years old) grow up and enjoy the beach as well. They started as little babies amused by the feeling of sand running through their fingers – now they are young adults finishing up their sophomore year of college !!!!

So that’s our story. Thanks for taking a look at our condo. Regardless of where you stay, we hope you and your family/friends have as much fun as we have had during your beach vacation.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The building has just 63 units and there are no other high-rises adjacent to our building. Even at the peak of summer season you can still walk out to the beach and find a great spot with some room to play and relax. It's also very family friendly which has made it a great place for us to build memories together.

We love summertime at the beach but spring, fall and winter are also awesome.

Face it, for us, anytime away the beach is great!
