Amazing stay

Great house, great host, excellent location, the beach is amazing, no seaweed at all and no crowds. It felt like our own private beach. Will definitely come back many times

Had an amazing week at the Boat Villa with the family! The place is spacious, spotless, and incredibly well equipped. We felt safe, comfortable, and right at home the entire stay.The staff did an outstanding job making sure everything was perfectly clean and always in top shape. We also had the chance to meet Miguel, the owner, and it truly made the experience even better. He’s a thoughtful and caring person who constantly made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect vacation.Liza was also amazing throughout the process, making sure we had all the right information and that our check-in experience was seamless and stress-free.We absolutely recommend this place and are already planning our next vacation here!

Anniversary trip

Liza and Miguel are wonderful hosts. We let Chef Miguel cook for us most of the nights since we didn’t want to leave the house and the beach. Anna is a jewel! We loved this location and the kindness and professionalism of our hosts.

The Boat Villa patio and pool and beach were great

Our family, two parents, son and wife,daughter and husband and grand daughter (4 yr. old) had a memorable week at the Boat Villa. The young adults did a snorkeling trip, but most of the time was spent at the Villa, pool and at the beach. We are all beach people and this property suited our needs perfectly..

Family Getaway - away from resorts

We were looking for a nice beachfront place away from the busy resorts and this place is a gem! We had a nice pool, shade and beach front for swimming and playing in the waves. The seaweed was a little bummer, but the beach is raked and most of the seaweed seemed to go right by and collect further down the beach. The food by Chef Miguel was outstanding, delivered right to the kitchen for family style convenient dining. We hope to stay again in the future!

Grand Getaway with the Grandkids

Miquel and Liza are perfect hosts with an amazing, beautiful and well equipped Villa. They helped us with airport transportation, tours and did a grocery run and had food in the fridge waiting for us. Chef Miquel cooked dinner for us every night and the food is plentiful and delicious. We had a great vacation with our grandkids. We will absolutely book with them again.

Come for the view, stay for the food!

The house, pool and beach are all lovely and well maintained. Excellent accomodations for a group or family. Everything one could want or need is provided. Miguel's cooking takes this from a great house to rent to a truly luxurious experience. He prepared 4 dinners for us and each was AMAZING! Thank you Liza and Miguel for being such wonderful hosts. We will be back.

Clean, beautiful property with your own private beach

Great place to be away from crowds. Very secure and secluded property. It was awesome to return from a day of activities and have dinner that Miguel and Beto had prepared. Food was delicious and priced comparable to any restaurant. I would recommend renting a car if you stay here. We did not rent a car and taxi’s can be expensive. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Despite the Storm

The 7-night stay started out a little rough due to the bad storm but once the ladies got acclimated to their new environment, things went very well. Not at all what they expected. The food was delicious and the staff and neighbors were very hospitable.

We had a very pleasant stay. We felt at home and our host Miguel made sure all our needs were met. Pick up and drop off to the airport was seamless. On arrival, groceries that were requested were inside the villa. Miguel arranged a rental car to be dropped off and picked up at the villa which made everything so convenient. The place was spotless, cleaners cleaned everyday except Sunday. The food was good and cocktails were amazing. Must try the cochinita pibil, island fritters, and ceviche. Miguel responded quickly and gave plenty of space to make you feel like you’re home. Oh, and the AC works very well. I would highly recommend the villa for a family or all three villas for a family/friend reunion.

Absolutely Amazing!

This is our second time staying at Secret Beach Villa. We rented all three houses and just enjoyed being with family and friends. The service Miguel and Liza offer is 5 stars better than any hotel concierge. Beto the chef was fantastic the food was delicious... They take care of the Airport transfers, car rentals dropped off at your villa, chef, Maid and pool service (every day), they even set up Mariachi's to come to our villa for a birthday celebration. Thank you for making our vacation memorable. Annette

Excellent stay!

Our stay was perfect! The house was nicer than I realized on the photos and we loved having our private pool and could walk right out to the beach. The pool area and the seaweed on the beach was cleaned daily as was the house (except on Sunday). They have lots of water and beach toys for you to use which was great. We enjoyed having Miguel prepare four of our dinners which were always so delicious. We could just relax in the pool and hang out on the beach! It was a short drive to the market and to the little beach town of Puerto Morales. We also used the photographer Miguel and Liza suggested and had a photo shoot one evening. If we needed anything the hosts were very helpful. Thanks for such a wonderful family memory!

We stayed in the Boat Villa at Playa del Secreto and had an amazing vacation! The villa was huge and easily accommodated my family of 4 and my in-laws. The option to order meals really set this property apart. The last thing you want to do on vacation is worry about feeding everyone all of the time. Miguel and Beto are fantastic cooks and I highly recommend ordering a few meals during your stay. All of the staff on the property were kind and welcoming. And the BEACH! It was private and so close to the villa, it doesn’t get any better than that. We were asked about the villa a number of times from people walking from near by resorts, they wished that they would have rented here instead. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Mom’s 80th Birthday Celebration

We stayed in the “Boat House” (largest, middle unit). The location and pool were incredible! The staff was attentive and lovely. This location and convenient proximity to Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and the airport can’t be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed being the only party on the property for the first couple of days. Eventually, a second party arrived, but they were thoughtful and a fun addition. The day before we left, a third party arrived and that became a little too many peeps sharing the property in our opinion. Loud music, voices and slamming doors became a little annoying. It just depends on the mix of parties you will encounter how that may impact your stay. It would be a great place for a family reunion where all three properties and people were shared.

Thanks for your review. The large group in the Shell villa (5 bedroom) booked for 10 people – showed up with 15. This never happens, it’s hard to say to group with that many kids you can’t stay, you’re over the 10 person per the reservation. I could of denied entry (never done that) but they got here after dark, it’s another country with a bunch of kids what are they going to do??? They were a repeat guest and never thought that this group would be an issue. In 20+ years I can count on 1 hand the number of times I have had load guest, the other villa also was unhappy with the noise. I asked this group to keep it down but to be honest this group was like herding cats, it wasn’t just the loudness, they couldn’t even remember to get back to the villa in time for the meals they ordered, my husband Chef Migule waited up to 11pm to serve a dinner they ordered for 6pm. I stress to guest that this is laid back tranquil area – grab a marg and a book kind of environment. You want action stay at a resort. I’m so sorry they caused a disruption to your group…please give us another chance. This was a very abnormal for our villas I think they other reviews show that. liza, Miguel & Luna (our dog)
