Frogtown Cottage is a quaint and comfortable cottage located in Historic Downtown Savannah. This is a great vacation rental for families and couples wanting to explore Savannah, while still enjoying all the comforts of home. Guests will enjoy the all-new pool and patio! The pool is 13ft x 24ft and varies from 3 to 6.5 feet deep and also offers optional pool heat year-round.

Frogtown Cottage is located close to the Georgia State Railroad Museum, Savannah History Museum, Savannah Children's Museum, Battlefield Memorial Park, the Savannah Visitors Center, and the SCAD Museum of Art. This home is also an excellent option for families visiting SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) as it is very close to Barnard Village, Boundary Hall, Turner House, Eichberg Hall, and The Hive/Dyson House. The home was originally built in 1860 and was used as a home for workers at the nearby Roundhouse for the Georgia Railroad. In fact, there are 2 other worker homes owned by the Coastal Heritage Society next door. Stroll right around the corner to enjoy access to great historic attractions. From the back porch, you can still see the smokestack rising over the area.

The interior of the home offers a living area with a gas fireplace and a flat-screen TV. To the right of the living room, you will find a Queen bedroom that attaches to a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. This bath also opens onto the eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and stackable washer and dryer. To the left of the living area, there are 2 additional guest bedrooms and an additional full Jack n Jill bath with a walk-in shower. The bedrooms are furnished with a twin bed & a queen bed in one (that opens out to the back porch), and a Queen Bed in the second. Both of these bedrooms have flat-screen TVs. You will also find access to the back porch and fully fenced yard with a private pool from the kitchen. The back deck offers a charcoal grill and table seating for 7.

Frogtown Cottage offers easy access to all of Historic Savannah. Just 2.5 blocks from the cottage, located in front of the Savannah Visitors Center, is a stop for the Fare-Free DOT Express Shuttle. The shuttle serves 11 stops throughout the Historic District and runs every 20 minutes from 11 am - 9 pm 7 days a week. Also, just across the street from the Visitor's Center, on the corner of Liberty and MLK, is Old Savannah Tours which offers an On-Off Tour of the Historic District, we highly recommend. Located 20 minutes away on beautiful Tybee Island.

Guests will also be located only a short 20-25 minute drive to Tybee Island, Savannah's beach. Come out for a day trip to enjoy the beach, fishing, visiting Ft. Pulaski, or climbing Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse.

Frogtown Cottage offers an outdoor shower (cold only) perfect for rinsing off before swimming. Wireless Internet/WIFI is available for guest use. Designated off-street parking available. This rental is pet-friendly for one (1) adult dog, with an additional fee. Two (2) Twin rollaway beds are included at home. Guests can add optional pool heat for an additional cost of $25 per day.

Perfect place for a group of women visiting from various cities! Quick Uber rides around, some places were walkable. House had everything we needed. The pool was a must with the heat in June! We loves having the screened in porch to hang out in. Lovely stay!

Nice home at great location

Very nice home at a great location. We really enjoyed the privacy but still being in walking distance to the attractions. Number 1 host in pet friendliness as well! We stayed there with two small / middle sized furry friends and they loved the place too. The pool is a wonderful addition to have a great time!

Perfect location and very private

The location and privacy of this location make it a perfect spot. We left the car parked all week and walked everywhere. The heated pool option was fantastic! Great visit to Savannah.

Great Location and a Pool! Win Win!

The property was clean and exactly as advertised. The accommodations were perfect for the 6 of us. The location of the house was in a very comfortable neighbor and was great for walking and or a reasonably priced Uber to River Street. Highly recommend!

Great stay

We were very happy with this rental. We had never been to Savannah before and was in a great spot to explore the historic district. It was also easy to have a day trip over to Tybee Island. The pool was a must for our northern cold blood. The pictures make it seem small, but it fit the 6 of us comfortably. Also a well stocked kitchen, and a beautifully renovated master bath.

Everything you need in a great location

We had a small family gathering of 4 at the Frogtown Cottage. The space had everything we needed to enjoy some family time. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils and food preparation items. Lots of space inside and outside for our party of 4. The cottage is walking distance to everything you want to see in Savannah and more. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived. The small parking space in front of the cottage was perfect for our vehicle but would not accommodate an suv or truck.

Very relaxing stay & dog friendly!!!

This cute house has a great location, comfortable beds & a beautiful pool. My family & I went with our two dogs- all stay was very relaxing & the dogs loved the freedom of the fenced in backyard. As for dining, this kitchen has all of the appliances/tools you need, but there is a delicious Cuban restaurant a block away. Many other restaurants are a 10 minute walk. My family and I are already deciding when to return- we loved it!!!!

Frogtown Cottage was perfect!

We loved our stay at Frogtown Cottage. The location was walking distance to everything in Savannah's Historic District. It was cozy and in a very safe feeling location. We had our dog who loved to play with us in the cute backyard(very rare to have a yard in Historic Savannah). We enjoyed a great coffee shop close by and the Cuban restaurant around the corner. My only complaint is our stay was too short. I'm already planning another visit.

Beautiful home & location

This house was perfect for our weekend in Savannah. Plenty of space, clean, and gorgeous backyard. Within walking distance to most anything downtown. The only time we had to drive was to Tybee Island. Having a parking space was great. The only thing missing was the personal touches of an owner managed home, but thatā€™s completely personal preference. Regardless, I would definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful centrally located house!

The house is a super clean, well maintained home that is centrally located to whether you want to walk to downtown or take a quick car ride to the other islands/beach. We LOVED the pool and the way itā€™s built up it feels like a personal oasis in the middle of the city. There are no buildings or homes that look in on you in the backyard so it feels very private even though you are in downtown Savannah. The house also has an interesting history dating back to late 1800s and there is even a civil war bunker/barricade one block over. The property managers are easy to contact, very responsive and helped make our stay easy. We absolutely loved every minute!

Not Family friendly - not as advertised, do not stay here, not worth the price.

Homeless people camping out next door, broken shower, off street parking means on the grass and getting blocked in, barbed wire fence surrounding backyard, pictures of property and house are very old and house does not show anything like listing, house and furniture are old and worn and not well maintained. Donā€™t stay here if you are traveling with you family. And if it just you and someone else, there are many other options. I have plenty of pictures of everything I stated.

Great little cottage

The house was the perfect size and the location was convenient. There is plenty of on street parking. When we arrived on Saturday he pool was filthy and no one came to clean it until Wednesday. We attempted to clean it our selves but the skimmer nets at the house are broken. There is a hotel across the street and their parking lot is right next to the master bedroom. They have the truck come and empty the dumpster at 6 AM and there is no way it won't wake you up. The second master bedroom doesn't have a TV, which I thought was odd because there is one in the room with the 2 twin beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
