The Lift Bridge Loft is within walking distance of all that Downtown Stillwater has to offer including fine dining, shopping, sight-seeing, and entertainment. The Lift Bridge Loft is the perfect choice for a weekend getaway or a quiet weekday stay. There is plenty of space for guests who are in town for special events, to rest, get ready, eat a meal (as there is a full kitchen, stocked with all the necessities), or for a perfect photography location, work or business,, etc. In the heart of downtown Stillwater, The Lift Bridge Loft combines the beauty of historic architecture with contemporary style, comfort, and convenience. Modern and welcoming furnishings will make you feel right at home, while enjoying the unsurpassed view of the St. Croix River Valley. Guests are only allowed on the pathway from the stairs to the entrance, and not allowed on any other part of the roof area, per our city ordinance. We do not allow parties or events. No smoking or illegal drugs/activity anywhere on the premises.

Beautiful loft, Great location

We loved the beautiful, spacious loft with its large windows, exposed brick and stone and views of the river as well as downtown. The location is perfect for enjoying all that downtown Stillwater has to offer. The host is friendly, helpful and easy to get ahold of with any questions. I highly recommend!

Perfect Location

Couldn't have been happier with the location of this property. We were in town for a New Years Eve wedding and being on Main Street couldn't have made things easier. The place was HUGE and the beds are comfy. Will definitely be back if Stillwater is the destination.

Stillwater First

This was my husband and my first visit to Stillwater. Such a cute town and the property was perfect. Communication and check in with the property owner was timely and easy. The property was clean and just as pictured on the website. So easy to walk to so many shops, bars, and restaurants. We loved all the walking and biking options right out our door as well. We would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful loft, prefect spot! BUT…

You will not find a more perfect spot to stay in Stillwater. The view is great and the loft is adorable. The only flaw, and it’s a big one for someone who has a broke wrist and sprained ankle is the wrongly stated information that the loft has an elevator. Girls weekend

The location is perfect as we were able to walk everywhere. There is a great variety of beautiful restaurants with incredible views, character, craftsmanship, and delicious food. We were incredibly impressed! The Airbnb was nice and roomy with beautiful exposed brick. There was a smell of strong cigarette smoke when we checked in. It’s listed as a non-smoking unit so I contacted our host right away. She was unsure and surprised by this, but did not offer any solution so that was quite disappointing. We ended up purchasing our own air fresheners. The smell came and went so it could have been coming in from outside as the building is old. Aside from that, we had an absolute blast. This quaint beautiful town has so much to offer!

Great location

Nice, well equipped property in the heart of downtown. Host was friendly and quick to respond to questions. Only note is access is via stairs /rooftop which may not be suitable for elderly, injured or disabled guests. One of the individuals in our party recently had knee surgery and the entry was a tad precarious. Also being this property is downtown, you’ll have street noise on busy nights. It did not bother us but may be a consideration for some. Overall positive experience and would recommend.

Not Worth It

Waited an hour to check-in. Construction right next door to the property makes access difficult. Owner double booked the room on the other popular rental website (sounds like square dnd) so I had no idea if they receive the check-in instructions and could at any point show up during my stay. Overall awful experience from an inexperienced host and owner.

Awesome Girls Weekend Stay!

We had a small girls weekend and it was such a blast! Shopping, eating and relaxing! Best part is this loft is right in the middle of all the fun! You can stop and take a break from shopping anytime and go back to the loft to take a nap. The loft is above the shops!! Soooo cool! Parking is annoying because it’s so busy downtown but if you don’t plan on coming and going... it’s not a problem! Just park and you can keep you vechile there all weekend (there are 3 hour parking limit signs but a parking permit is given at check in) best place ever! We will be back!

Honest Review

A few items I wish I had known. The loft is on the second floor with no elevator. The front door is located off of the back rooftop access with two flights of stairs. So be mindful of how much you pack or buy groceries. The loft was tidy in appearance but we did see dust/hair bunnies in the unit. There is a smell the apartment has but tolerable. The condo is very cold, we tried to adjust the thermostat but it was locked. On the beds there is a sheet and thin blanket, there are two throw blankets but we were still very cold. If you rent or have a car, even with a parking permit the parking is a nightmare. I would advise you to not have a car unless you are staying during the winter. Stillwater is very busy from spring-fall time and the parking, especially during the weekends.
