New Englander home in nice neighborhood 200 feet from sandy beach. Although in Owl's Head it is less than a 20 minute walk to the heart of Rockland Main Street's many art galleries, shops and cafes. Newly renovated including new equipped kitchen, upstairs bathroom and downstairs bathroom. Two bedrooms upstairs, one queen bed and 2 twin beds. Dining room and living room. Cable television and wi-fi internet provided in living and master bedroom. Two porches. Front porch has some water views. Full size washer and dryer in basement. Air conditioners located in living room master bedroom and twin bedroom. Towels and bedding included.

A perfect spot!

This house is a great place to stay! All the amenities you need and plenty of room. We hung out on the front porch to enjoy the weather and view. Home owners were easy to reach.

Gorgeous Maine Home

The home was even better than described. It is beautifully refinished. We enjoyed sitting on the porch each morning and evening and seeing The Breakwater Lighthouse. The path to the beach is a short walk and well worth it for the beautiful view and sea treasures.

Owls Head stay

An immaculately kept home, very comfortable, quiet and close to Owls Head Lighthouse, Marshall Point Lighthouse and downtown Rockland. The home is a short walk to a small beach with views of Rockland Harbor. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

Great accommodations. Couldn't have asked for better.

This house was more than a house, it was a home for 7 days. It has everything you would have at home and was beautifully decorated. The living room had very comfortable seating for all four of us and was a great place to relax before crashing after a long day. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Bedrooms were great. I (we) highly recommend Christine's Ocean Avenue home in Owls Head. It was a perfect place to spend a week in Maine. It is definitely a five star home.

We love Owls Head

The owners did a great job when they remodeled. Lots of neat extras like cabinets that close automatically. I appreciated the gas grill and 2 sets of washer/dryers. You gave 2 different porches so you can choose sun or shade. Mattress in master is super comfortable. The view of the bay from the porch is amazing. The real only downside was the noisy demolition starting before 7am every day, even Saturdays , at the new technical school a block away. The ownes are only a text or call away. Very friendly and helpful.

Perfect home base for Midcoast exploration

Our family of four (kids ages 5 and 7) spent a great week at Ocean Avenue. The house was clean, in a great location, and felt recently updated; our check-in was a breeze; and our host was super responsive if we had any questions. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and we appreciated the in-room A/C units for the couple of warmer, humid evenings (but mostly just enjoyed the ocean breeze with windows open). The kitchen is well equipped and we ate most of our breakfasts and dinners on the small back patio. But the best part is truly the location. The neighborhood is quiet, but just a short drive (or walk, if you prefer) from downtown Rockland. The small beach at the end of the street is also a great bonus option for the kids, who spent plenty of time finding shells and sea glass. We felt pretty centrally located between the hiking in Camden Hills State Park and some of the beaches around Owl's Head and points south (Drift Inn and Birch Point SP were our favorites). Make time for the transportation museum if you've got young kids. We'd definitely stay again!

Close enough to everything

Love Ocean Ave

Loved our stay. Cottage was quaint, decorations and facilities were great and perfect tly located. Only negative was we didn't realize the steep stairs to bedrooms for our 72 year old bodies.

Charming, comfortable, relaxing

Pretty much agree with all other reviewers: very clean, comfortable, everything one needs to instantly feel this is a ‘home away from home’. There is a super porch with some direct views of the water and it is in a quiet friendly neighborhood within walking distance to town. Christine was very easy to communicate with. This booking and stay was one of the best of our many years of renting vacation homes. We will definitely be returning!

End-of-summer getaway

My husband and two young kids and I came for a vacation from Brooklyn, and had a great time here. The house is spotlessly clean and comfortable and just a few steps from a small sandy beach. The kids played in the yard and swam, we grilled and cooked in the well equipped kitchen, took trips into town—had plenty to do and enjoyed a very comfortable stay! The host, Christine, was responsive and kind, and the house was exactly as it appeared in the listing.

Summer 2022 in Owls Head

Fantastic trip. Home and location were perfect. Home was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed and more. Host was responsive and the check in check out process was seamless. We would definitely recommend this host the home and the location.

Best place ever!

This home is undoubtedly one of the best places we have ever stayed. It was spotless clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would live there permanently if we could as it is very comfortable and homey. It’s location couldn’t be better. The beach is only steps away and the neighborhood is quiet and well taken care of. The location to town is such a short distance that one could walk if you wanted. The owners are very responsive to questions and even brought us a grill for our outside enjoyment. We highly recommend this lovely home!!

Owl’s Head rental

My family and I traveled from New York State to stay at this lovely home for a week. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. I enjoy cooking and the kitchen had everything necessary to put a seafood meal on the table. The beds were comfortable and this home was just right. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown Rockland and the surrounding towns. My family and I have been coming to mid-coast Maine for a few years and are familiar with McLoons, Jess’s Market, Primo, the Breakwater, Birch Point State Park and it was so nice to be back in the area. I didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning in the near future. Many thanks.

Beautiful spot in Owls Head

We enjoyed our week in Owls Head. The location of the property is great. Everything in the house was very clean, up to date and comfortable. Christine seems to have thought of anything one might need for a rental. It’s very convenient to Rockland and practically on the water with views from the porch and many rooms. It was a most relaxing week and we would certainly return.

Lovely vacation spot

This home was sparkling clean, well located, and quiet. Communication with the owner was excellent. The kitchen had all the dishes/cookware we needed, and the washer/dryer on premises were so helpful. From this house, you can walk to a little beach at the end of the street. It’s also a quick drive to town and another beach that we loved. Highly recommend.

Great rental property!

The property was very clean and well-equipped. Recently remodelled bathrooms with good showers. Decks at both front and rear and a gas grill provided. Portable AC units were also appreciated, though the one in the bedroom was quite noisy. Close to a small beach and within 20 minutes walk to the town center. Walking distance to Primo restaurant serving the most fantastic food! Also, close to Owl's Head State Park, which has a nice quiet pebble beach.

Another excellent stay

This was our second stay at Ocean Avenue Beach House. We enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The house is charming with lovely water views and is exceptionally clean. The location in a quiet neighborhood is superb with walking distance to Rockland and easy access to Route 1. Booking the week with Christine was an easy process. At the house, Christine left plenty of contact info in case we needed anything. Because the house is so well maintained and organized we did not need to contact her for anything. Looking forward to our third stay!

Nice area from which to explore

This property was great - however, I suffer from allergies and the house has carpet everywhere and older furniture. Luckily I had packed allergy meds and Mother Nature blessed is with wonderful weather. There is a little cove just yards from the house. I wish I had brought sand chairs as it was a lovely spot where to begin or end the day.

Excellent in every way

The house was adorable. Bright and sunny. It was extremely clean. We appreciated all the extra Covid precautions that were in place such as tissue boxes, disinfecting wipes and sprays. Great water views from the dining room, porch and bedrooms. Fabulous location: easy walking distance to Rockland, and quick access to Route 1 North and South for traveling around the MidCoast. Christine was easy to contact and quick to respond to the few questions that we had. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning.
