THE SECRET GARDEN
Totally Renovated in 2017 the First Floor of the Lemon Guest House is the perfect Romantic Getaway. Check out the WALK THRU Videos under the Floor Plan Tab. It is the best way to get a feel of the house. Just use your mouse to walk thru. I think you will love it.
You will be greeted by Lovely cool White Marble Floors throughout and popular White Washed Ship Lap walls. It centers on one Large Central Greatroom, Kitchen, Dining area. There is a Leather Queen Sleeper Sofa for extra sleeping and a convenient Half Bath. Plus a New Large Smart TV with Wifi.
The Kitchen is one of a kind. Long story but short version I rescued it from my Tennessee homestead. Over 50 years ago my Father had these made from old Poplar wood he salvaged out of an Elementary school. The trees were extinct even at that time. It was a labor of love but they are beautiful. Hope you enjoy.
The Kitchen features Stainless Appliances. Marble and Handmade Butcher Block Counters. Farm Sink and Subway Tile. And comes fully stocked with all you will need to cook a gourmet meal.
You can dine at a lovely Spa Glass Table or Outdoor in the Garden under a covered Lanai.
The Bedroom is Giant with a King Bed & a Roll-out Single Trundle for "the Little Ones". There is another Smart TV with easy Netflix and YouTube access. Pack N Play also available.
Gorgeous twin Spa Glass doors lead to the Master Bath and a large walk-in closet with room for Pack n Play available upon request. Everything in the Bath is shining Glass and Marble. Marble Vanity with Double Sinks. Marble walls & Floor. Glass Shower with Hand Held Shower Head. I want you to enjoy "pampering" yourself.
My sons favorite is the Blue Nightlight/Bath Fan. One in the Half Bath too. What will they think of next?
A frosted mural door off the Master leads to the Secret Garden. Private. Relaxing. There is a Covered Lanai with outdoor Table and Grill. Both Gas (provided) or Charcoal. Plus a Sofa and Chair.
A Barn door (Also from my Tennessee home) leads from the Kitchen to the private Laundry.
NEED MORE SPACE
The upstairs is also available. Called the Palm View, it is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath with its own Greatroom, Kitchen and outdoor Grill and seating. You can rent them both under the name Lemon Guesthouse.
PARKING
One designated parking spot in the alley. More space on Lemon Street with a lit paver patio along the Main House leading back to the Guesthouse.
LOCATION
We are located Downtown at 67 1/2 Lemon St only 5 miles to my favorite beach called St Augustine Beach just south of Anastasia Park over the Bridge of Lions. We provide Beach Chairs and Towels + Boogie Boards. Their is lots of parking & public restrooms + amazing Restaurants. There is a great Farmer Market on Wednesdays and in the Summer even FREE Wednesday night outdoor concerts. The sand is perfect for building Sand Castles. The waves are great for Surfing. We provide Boogie Boards or you can rent Surf Boards and take lessons or rent bikes at A Street.
But you will find so much to do Downtown you will probably only go to the Beach the first day. Downtown is a world all its own. Simply Charming. Especially at night with the lights twinkling and the sound of music filling the streets. Thousands come for the Festival of Lights (Mid Nov thru January). Great Restaurants. Great History. Perfect Getaway
Ths was a perfect spot for my wife and I to spend a couple days in St Augustine. The place is cozy, nicely decorated and clean.It is a short walk to all historic areas and restaurants. Linda is a great host.

Perfect little getaway
We took our dogs for the first time on a trip with us and this place was the perfect size. Very clean and enough room for all of us. Within walking distance to the fort and all the restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. Linda was a great host.

Exactly as advertised. This place was extremely updated and clean, very roomy, comfortable bed, washer dryer, large refrigerator and had everything we needed. It is very close to historic downtown and Flagler College. Host has very easy directions and lots of information on the property. Loved the thorough suggestions of what to do in St Augustine too! Very helpful and appreciated all around!

Little getaway
This was a great spot for a little getaway with my husband and our pup. Very clean, well appointed, and pleasant walking distance from the historic district. It was more than enough space for us to stay comfortably for 5 nights - very reasonably priced as well. As someone who is not accustomed to apartment life, my only complaint is that the rental property above was a bit noisy.

In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically, Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play.
So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the āBest Beachā - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Everything within walking distance.
In 2016 I moved to Downtown St Augustine and added 4 more Downtown Homes walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music. It is absolutely charming at night. You will feel you are strolling an old European City. A must see.
