Escape to Wild Azalea House — a private 3-bedroom mountain chalet nestled on five secluded acres, just 20 minutes from the Shenandoah National Park entrance. This is my personal sanctuary, a place where I come to clear my mind and relax in peaceful nature.
Immerse yourself in tranquility with a relaxing barrel sauna, a six-person hot tub for stargazing under incredibly clear night skies, and a cozy outdoor fire pit area. Great place to stay! Highly recommend. Very quiet, spacious house with everything you need (hot tub and sauna are a big plus). Only a 20-minute drive to Luray and Front Royal.

The home is so beautiful and inviting! We went for a little family summer getaway and enjoyed every minute! The host Karen is so kind and helpful as well. We loved the projector screen where we all sat together and watched a movie after a fun day of exploring the surrounding towns. It felt like a home away from home! We are already looking forward to planning another trip here!

My husband and I had such a lovely stay at this cabin with our dogs. The welcome book was incredibly helpful, the property was well stocked with everything we needed, and we especially loved having the opportunity to enjoy both the sauna and the hot tub. Karen was also very responsive and checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going well, which we really appreciated. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to return!

The property description was accurate. We had a question or two and the hostess was very prompt and responsive. The area was peaceful and relaxing. All the amenities worked flawlessly. Great week of vacation. We loved the sauna. Kids lived pickleball and other games.

Property was amazing! Love the layout and could tell the owners personality was represented well. The house was very clean, well stocked, and amenities galore. Located on a ridge just below and facing Skyline Drive, the views and the peace and quiet were exceptional. We will be back!

This cozy country house is impeccably maintained, with beautiful sunny windows overlooking the forest and views. The front deck is lovely for relaxing. In fact, the whole house is made for relaxing. The master bedroom mattress was so comfortable!We did use the theatre screen set up to watch a family video made to celebrate the occasion. There are no tvs anywhere in the house- which is great unless you want one! But- the point is to relax and breathe- and this is the place to do precisely that!I highly recommend this home for a country visit.

This was the perfect get away! Quiet, the windows in the living room provide an amazing view of the forest and wildlife. The Sauna was fantastic, so rare here in properties that we’ve stayed at. This is absolutely a your season property; I can only imagine it in winter!

4 night family trip with 2 adult children and their significant others (6adults total). The house was perfect. Convenient to hiking in Shenandoah, tubing down the river, and an absolutely out of this world dinner at the Blue Door Inn, The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The seclusion and solitude were exactly what we were hoping for. The hot tube was just what we needed after hiking Old Rag. Karen was exceptionally responsive with her communication, flexible and understanding when we had a last minute change to our plans. We will definitely stay with them again if we are in the area.

Property was very clean , I imagined the house to be a little bigger than what the pic showed but it was enough room for my family and we definitely enjoyed the amenities. Very secluded house, very private, we could hear the neighbors but could not see them. Lots of trees , perfect weather, full of fun. I definitely needed this peace of mind away from people, cars loud music. Just a touch of nature and relaxation .

We had a lovely stay. Information about check in and home access was helpful and the place was very clean. There was obviously a lot of thought put in to making visitors comfortable with ample throw blankets in the living room and various games.

The house is beautiful, and Karen was an excellent host--very responsive and very helpful regarding recommendations for things to do in the area. The house was a bit more remote than I realized and not very close to stores or restaurants, but this is coming from a city/suburban girl who is used to shops being two minutes away! That didn't take away the enjoyment of the trip or the house, though. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

This house exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness stood out immediately — every room was immaculate and well‑organized. The amenities were fantastic, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, fast Wi‑Fi, and little touches that made the stay even better. The host was responsive and welcoming, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I’d definitely book again.

The house was adorable, well-appointed. Some of the amenities could have used were instruction. But we are of the baby boomer generation and Karen was quickly available to guide us through our questions.
