Spectacular and luxurious retreat in a secluded setting just feet from the serene waters of Lake Lanier. The home has hosted family gatherings for more than six decades. Now, your family and friends can carry on the tradition in this upscale rental, called Renlim Retreat. We have our web site for additional viewing information Renlimretreat.com

You will not run out of things to do on this magnificent executive estate property. You can play football, cornhole or croquet in the front yard, or shoot hoops on the basketball court. Sunbathe on the beach and enjoy a private dock with lots of floats and other toys. The Pontoon boat is available for rent but not included in your rental.

End the day with sunset views from the screened porch — one of the owner’s favorite places in a home designed for entertaining — as well as the great room with a vaulted, beamed ceiling and two-story stacked stone fireplace. Or take the party to the beach, where you can gather around a bonfire for bonding with your family members.

You’ll find Instagram-worthy spots throughout, from the modern decor to whimsical touches to the water views.

Unwind and enjoy the spacious open floor plan with spaces for all ages. Watch sports or movies on the 70-inch flat screen TV with surround sound in the great room. The open space flows into a cook’s kitchen with lake views and comfortable furnishings to eat and play games.

Take the fun to the terrace level, which has a pool table, a second full kitchen and bar, a flat screen TV and another fireplace.

Escape to the master bedroom with a sweeping lake view and king-size bed. French doors open to the deck so that you can easily transition from indoors to out.

The other five bedrooms are generous, well-appointed spaces with king- and queen-sized beds and attached bathrooms. On the main floor, two guest suites also have French doors that open to the deck and lake. On the second level, the private guest suite offers a king-sized bed and window seats with lake views. The vaulted and whimsical bunk room offers two bunk beds and two daybeds for the kids.

Annual Friends Trip

The property is a great place to spend some time at the lake with friends or family. The house is very comfortable and very clean and well supplied. The outdoor areas are what makes this a special place. The point that the house is on is just beautiful.

Amazing Property and Location

I stayed at the property with friends and highly recommend it! Can't beat the location and the amenities. Host was great to coordinate with and a turnkey location for an amazing time by the lake!

We didn't want to leave

When I booked the place, I spoke with Hicks who enthusiastically told me all about it and he told me we wouldn't want to leave. He was absolutely right. We enjoyed every inch of the house and every amenity it had to offer and we were never bored. We will be back for sure.

Best stay ever

I cannot even begin to say how great this house was. I booked this house for my husbands 40th birthday and let me tell you… this listing does not do justice!!!!! This place exceeded all of our needs. And Hicks - the owner - he was so great and helped answered any questions we had right away. We are already looking to book this place again next year. If anyone is looking for a house in this area - THIS IS IT!!!!!

Perfect family Lake house

An absolute 5-star experience. Hicks was a wonderful host that went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our trip. We have 3 families that take 2 trips a year to the beach and the mountains, and this was by far the best trip we have taken. The favorite of the kids and adults was the pickle-ball court. We played it for 5 days straight then played pool downstairs in the evenings. The kitchen was perfect for 6 adults and 7 children and was stocked with every conceivable accessory and spice you could need. The sound system was easy to use and was perfect. Hicks went out of his way to set up a bonfire for the families, ensure there were plenty of kayaks for us to enjoy and make the entire property family friendly and thoroughly enjoyable. We are already planning our summer trip back. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone.

Amazing Property

I cannot give the experience we had justice with words! EVERYTHING about the property was simply amazing. From the Host to the home, to the property, to the boat house, everything was absolutely perfect. Hicks met us at the gate and brought us to the property where he spent an hour showing us around, explaining all the nuances of lighting, A/C, kitchen appliances, fireplaces, etc. The furniture is wonderful, and all accessories were clean, fresh, and in ample supply. The kitchen is over stocked in utensils, spices, pots/pans, dishes, etc. The TVs are large and the sound system both inside and outside the home were perfect. The Host set up a bonfire down near the lake and it was magical for the entire family. We had 16 people in the house, including an infant, 3yo, 5yo, teenagers, young adults and seniors, and never once felt cramped in any way. On the contrary, you could be in the group, of easily find a secluded spot to relax and take in the incredible view of the lake. Again, I can't say enough about the home, property, and Hosts. We will absolutely be back.

Fabulous lake property!

My family loved staying at this lake house! We had 9 adults and one toddler. The house fit our needs perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked and big enough for several people to be in at one time. There are plenty of plates/glasses/silverware for the whole group. The bedrooms worked out perfectly for our family and I loved that the upstairs bunk room could have accommodated several kids. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were really soft and felt luxurious. We spend many hours on the huge screened porch visiting and watching the boat traffic on the lake. The property is spectacular - probably one of the best on the lake. The large yard stretches out onto a peninsula and there is a good sandy beach on one side, and the dock and boathouse on the other side. We setup a badminton net and played games in the yard. There is also bocce ball, croquet and cornhole at the house. Thanks for letting us rent your wonderful home!

Fantastic Property.

This is an amazing property with every amenity available. We visited with our entire family - all 12 of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. You never need to leave. A Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Renlim Retreat was the perfect place for our family to gather for Thanksgiving. We had 13 adults and 4 children (ranging from 92 to 8 months). This was the first time we were all together since 2019 … and with two new babies born during the pandemic. Hicks and Lanier Milner were the perfect hosts. They were quick to answer all questions prior to our arrival. This house is a home - not a sterile VRBO. Everything you could imagine you would need is in this home. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable and every bedroom had a large bathroom with sumptuous towels. The gathering spaces on the main floor were large and comfortable for all of us with a huge fireplace. The views to the lake - amazing every direction you look. We wish we could have used the beautiful screened porch, but it was too cool - although they had a generous amount of throws on the porch to use. The property - oh my!!! The kids went nuts running and running. They had a blast. We also saw dozens of deer feeding in the morning and afternoon. We cannot thank Hicks and Lanier enough for their gracious hospitality. We hope to be back again and take advantage of warmer weather and all the water toys they have to offer!

Perfect in Every Way

Others have used this same phrase to describe Renlim Retreat and we don't like to be redundant, but it's the only phrase that sums up this amazing home and property. The location is ideal, at the end of a curvy private road with complete privacy and surrounded by water on three sides, yet just 5 miles from supermarkets (Publix and a giant Kroeger), liquor store, restaurants, and shops. The house is large, comfortable, beautifully designed and laid out to afford privacy for each bedroom suite, and includes everything that one would need when on vacation. All appliances, dishware, kitchen utensils, furnishings, etc. are of top quality. It's incredibly easy and fun to work with the owners - this is the third time that our group of college friends (40 years out of college now) have rented this lovely home, and for this most recent visit our group traveled a total of about 30,000 miles R/T to be together. We're so spoiled by Renlim retreat that we don't think that we could go anywhere else at this point. We rented the owner's pontoon boat this year, and we were so glad that we did - the dock and boat are right there, and the boat is luxurious and beautiful, perfect for exploring Lake Lanier. The grounds of the property are meticulously maintained, as is the house itself, with more improvements being made every year (although we never think that any improvements are ever needed, but the owners are good at anticipating guest needs!). Each bedroom is individually climate-controlled, which is another plus. When the weather is good, we spend most of our time sitting and eating on the screened-in porch - it's so comfortable and the view at all times of day just can't be improved upon, from beautiful sunrise to glorious sunset.

Beyond Incredible!!

Our family and some family friends had the distinct privilege of staying at Renlim Retreat in November. It's difficult to put into words how beautiful this property is and how gracious and accommodating the owners are. The property has incredible views and the house has premium everything (appliances, electronics, sound system, etc.). We've been to many lake homes over the years and they all pale in comparison. There is plenty of room and always something to do. I can't recommend this property highly enough. If you are looking for a 5 star private lake house getaway there is no reason to look any further.

TOTAL PERFECTION IN EVERY WAY!!!!

Our family has rented Renlim twice and we will definitely do so again next year!!! We have rented other places in the area, but NONE compare to Renlim. It is total perfection in every way -- a true 5 star lake house -- a resort all to itself!!!!! It exceeds all our expectations. The owner and his family go above and beyond to make sure you have EVERYTHING you could ever need. We have a few older family members and having easy access to the lake and all the lake activities is a must for us and this place is certainly ideal for this and ideal for us in every way. Thank you Hicks and family for allowing us to have another magical family vaca in your beautiful lake home.

AMAZING....MORE THAN EXPECTED...NO DISAPPOINTMENTS

Rented Renlim Retreat for 6 nights in July for our family reunion of 14. The house is amazing and not your typical rental vacation home. The owner and his family were a pleasure to work with and went out of their way to make sure we had to best possible experience. Perfect Lake House!!!!!! Our family has rented many North Georgia luxury vacation homes over the last 12 years. No other rental came close to the experience we had. Make sure to include the pontoon rental in your vacation. Access to the lake completes the Lake Lanier Experience. This vacation property will be part of our families vacation plans for years to come.

Absolutley Fabulous!

Our family of 18 (10 adults/8 children) enjoyed our annual family vacation at the Renlim Retreat this year. It was by far, one of the best vacations we have had with the entire family. There wasn't a thing missing when it came to entertainment. The house was extremely spacious, as we never felt cramped or on top of each other. The house was beautifully decorated, kitchen was stocked with all the necessities, and the bedrooms were extremely spacious. I too am a VRBO homeowner, and I can honestly say, Hicks goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant and that you have everything you need. We hope to return next year, and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Pictures don't do it justice

My family and I have been doing Family Vacations for several years now and this home is by far our favorite. There were 14 of us from ages 3-50 and everyone loved it, we were never on top of one another, room for all and some. The house is decorated elegant but yet relaxes you the moment you walk in. Plenty of bathrooms for all the kids loved their bunk room and the teenagers enjoyed their downstairs room with pool table and surround sound. The yard, oh my the yard GORGEOUS!! Beach on one side, dock on other, a shaded walking trail, I loved having coffee on the upper story if the dock at sunrise. I could go on and on about this home. Close to everything, yet when your there you feel a million miles away from the hustle and hurry of city life. Outlets, grocery stores all a 10 minute drive. Hicks and family have out done themselves with this one. We will for sure be back for another stay. Love this home and everything about it !!!! You'll be so glad you picked this home out of all the choices around it. Surrounded on 2 sides by water, no neighbors, stunning views, interesting inside and out. Outstanding and More

Our family (8 adults/6 children) recently concluded a Jul 4 vacation at the Renlim Retreat. Where to begin? It has to start with Hicks Milner. What an incredibly cordial, hospitable southern gentleman! From the start Hicks' focus was our family's comfort and needs. His prior arrival contact greetings and info made us feel like family. Hicks usually welcomes renters but during our week he was vacationing and his housekeeper, Debbie, greeted us warmly, toured the house with us and answered our questions. For our weekly rental Debbie returned on Monday to tidy up from the weekend; a nice added touch provided by Hicks. Now for the home...it's a "Featured" property on the VRBO website for a reason. The pictures originally drew our attention to its beauty but "you gotta be there" to take it all in. Without a doubt our family created a lasting memory staying there. Waking up in 3 of the bedrooms, a simple slide of the curtains and it's "good morning" to a beautiful view of the lake. We spent many a meal on the screened in porch taking in the lake even when we weren't on it boating, skiing, slalom, tubing or surf riding. The kitchen had everything we needed and a short drive to Wal Mart Supercenter or Kroger helped keep the refrig stocked. The icemaker in the downstairs bar area made it convenient to stock the ice chest for a day on the lake. A quick game on the pool table or shuffleboard was a nice added feature in the game room. We had our six grandchildren with us and their upstairs bedroom with two bunk beds and two other twins provided an ample area to giggle their way to sleep each night. The July 4 fireworks could be viewed from back yard or you could take a quick boat ride to a better viewing. Hicks allowed us to bring some "kid friendly" fireworks. The beach area of the property was perfect for a bonfire, hot dog roast, marshmallow and home made smores treats and our own family fireworks at dark. The property grassed yard was large and accommodating to frisbee/football tossing, croquet and soccer. Gosh, Hicks even came and cut it for us to play on! By the boat house is a shallow area with a large rectangular raft that the grand kids loved playing on. Meanwhile my wife fell in love with Hicks' dual seat covered rocker swing while watching the kids on the raft. I kinda liked the big hammock myself for relaxation. So thank you, Hicks, for a priceless family memory! Viewing your family photos throughout the house confirmed to me you too love family.

Our family consists of 7 adults and 7 grandkids. We have been getting together every year for the past 15 years somewhere in the country for a week of fun and relaxation. This year we chose Renlim Retreat and rented the fabulous pontoon boat that's available at the retreat for our yearly gathering. It turned out to be our most favorite vacation since we started doing this and we have rented some really nice properties over the years. This is the first time a property owner has ever met us for a grand tour of the property. His attentiveness puts you at ease and makes you feel welcome and right at home. The home is truly five star quality and is equipped with every detail imaginable for your comfort. Also I would highly recommend the pontoon boat that's available at the resort for wakeboarding, skiing, tubing or just a cruise around the lake. It is equipped with all the toys needed for playing in the water. It turned out to be the highlight of the trip for our grandkids who spent countless hours skiing, wakeboarding and tubing. The screened in porch is fabulous for gathering in the evening after dinner for a cocktail and family fellowship. We are planning to convene for our future family vacations at this spot as long as it available.
