FEATURES

Blue Lagoon is a fantastic 1 bedroom vacation rental with direct access to the lagoon and an amazing view. A small hallway leads to the open kitchen and living area. From here a large sliding door gives you access to the outside terrace with dining table and chairs. From the terrace you walk onto the first sunbathing deck with lounge chairs. There is an awning for extra sunshade. A few steps further you find the 2nd private deck built over the lagoon with 2 lounge beds just for you. The deck features an outside shower and swim ladder for your convenience and is equipped with deck lights, so you can see the marine live at night as well. Blue Lagoon has a master bedroom with a top quality king size bed (Swiss Sense), bed tables and built in closet. The luxurious bathroom has a walk-in shower and a sink. The washroom is a separate space in the hallway. The living room has a nice lounge area with couch, table and reading light. There is a small desk with chair and reading light as a workspace. Blue Lagoon is a non-smoking property, both indoors and outdoors.

AMENITIES

Blue Lagoon offers free Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the bedroom and living room, standing fan in the living area and a flat screen TV with IPTV. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking top, refrigerator, dish washing machine, oven-micro wave combi, Nespresso coffee machine (small regular pods) and toaster. There is a safe, washer and iron with iron board. Cleaning with linen change is included and scheduled halfway your stay when staying 9 nights or longer. Linens are provided including beach towels. The bed is made with a duvet with fresh cover. Curacao Ocean Resort features a large swimming pool and private beach with loungers, beach chairs and palapas (palm leave umbrellas) which you can use free of charge. The lagoon is crystal clear and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The house reef is in swimming distance from the beach and filled with exotic fishes and corals.

LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS

Blue Lagoon is situated within the gated ***** Curacao Ocean Resort and ideally located within walking distance to Mambo Beach. You find lots of entertainment and night life here, like international restaurants, tropical beach bars, a dive shop, a gym and spa, small shops, a casino and the Mambo Beach Boulevard. The Seaquarium and Dolphin Academy are located opposite of the resort where you often see the dolphins jump. Historic Willemstad is only 10 car minutes away. There is a private parking spot reserved for your rental car.

Awesome rental...location cannot be beat. Amazing snorkeling right off of your deck. Restaurants, shops, bars within a 2 minute walk yet the condo is quiet. Jo the property manager is the best to work with...excellent communication! Olas and Capo restaurant is a 1 minute walk and must be visited. Best staff...excellent food and drinks and reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Jo was an excellent host and was very responsive in communications. We absolutely love the location of this unit - and enjoyed our daily swims in the lagoon. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay - including extra snorkels and fins to use if we wished to.

The property has water access off the dock. That was very nice. Curacao is very hot but we learned how to close the curtains during the hottest part of the day. Would have been nice to lower the awning.

Wonderful location.

Beautiful, clean condo with direct access to the lagoon. You truly cannot beat the location just steps to many restaurants and beach front eateries. Check in and out was easy and quick. Host was awesome, great communication and helpful! We will defiantly return.

Exactly as described and exactly what we were hoping for!

We were looking for a quiet vrbo with easy access to swimming and snorkeling. While it's across from the Sequarium, it is not very noisy when there are shows. Plus I love that in the early morning the visitors are young disabled children who interact with the dolphins and their trainers. But most of the time there are only a few others in the water the same time as you. You can easily swim to the beach and use a lounge chair if you want.The vrbo is 1.2 km to Mambo Beach Blvd so you can get a nice meal. "Bocas" was our favorite; we ate there twice. Plus you can walk to Olas y Copas for a nice meal.The apartment has everything you need. There is A/C in the bedroom but we didn't use it. We kept the doors open so there was a cross breeze and we could hear the waves breaking over the reef. Very relaxing!It's rare for my husband and myself to agree that we want to stay at a vrbo more than once, but I now know that anytime we want a water-based relaxing vacation, we will book this vrbo again.The only thing I would add is that it is located at the end of Bapor Kipra, but turn right at the end of the street and drive past Lion's Dive to Ocean Resorts. Signage is lacking and we had a difficult time finding it because our rental car didn't have navigation and my cell phone didn't work.This place is worth way more than 5 stars and Jo and Heike we very nice to work with.

Paradise!

The property was lovely and so were the hosts! Watching the fish in the lagoon in the evening was probably my favorite. Walking distance to a secluded beach or the Mambo beach area with places to grab a bite. We would stay there again if we go back to Curaçao.

Amazing property!

Everything was just as described and we very much enjoyed our stay. Great location with easy walk to Mambo Beach. We loved snorkeling right from our deck. It was so enjoyable that it made it difficult to leave on certain days and explore other parts of the island. We would definitely come back when we return to Curaçao.

Excellent

Wonderful week stay at this waterfront property. It had everything we needed for our first trip to Curaçao. It was well equipped for cooking in. Loved being able to sit outside with our coffee and watch the dolphins everyday as well as being able to hop off the sundeck into the lagoon to cool off. Very close to Mambo beach and several restaurants that we could walk to as well as the Sea Aquarium. Olas Y Copas and The Green Room were our favorites. Communication with our host was great and she was able to help us out for recommendations when our baggage was delayed. We are looking forward to coming back here next year as we’ve found our new favorite winter retreat.

Great location

The location is good for access to Mambo Beach. We enjoyed snorkeling the lagoon off the deck and saw many fish and an octopus. Unit is very warm and could benefit from a steel gate door that locks to promote more airflow.

Awesome place!!

Stayed 10 nights, loved the location!! Jump in the ocean out your back deck, incredible snorkeling a short swim away!! Easy walk to Mambo Beach with several beach front bars and restaurants. Loved our stay!!

Snorkel Delight

Check in was easy w/Jo meeting us at the gate and giving us a tour of the unit. She made sure we understood how everything operated and responded quickly when we had a problem. Breeze was adequate to keep us comfortable w/o AC except in bedroom at night. We snorkeled or swam every day from the dock and it was easy to reach many other snorkel locations as well. Property is perhaps even better than advertised.

Nice quiet place to stay.

Quiet place to stay but if you want more of a commercialized atmosphere it is just a short walk. We loved Hemingways restaurant, their wraps are great. The burger I would skip. Great food! We also ate at the sushi restaurant very good! Mexican restaurant good too! All the restaurants we ate at were nice portions and never a disappointment. The host was very friendly and super easy to communicate with. Quick to reply on any of my questions. No fishing off the deck. Great location if you like to snorkel In calm waters. Dolphins and sharks across the cove at the sea aquarium.

Perfect Location

We just returned from an 8 day stay, & it was amazing. The location is perfect. Close to Mambo Beach if you want action & the secluded lagoon if you want relaxation. We rented a car & it was a great location for a starting point to visit other parts of the island as well. Everything inside was clean & well maintained. The pictures don’t do it justice! We are already talking about coming back!

Blue Lagoon is RIGHT!

Great location - on a very quiet lagoon and you can jump in the water right off the deck. Lots of fishes in the water to see. Very close to Lions Dive Resort restaurants and Mambo beach - literally 2 minutes walk away. Fantastic spot - would recommend without any reservations!

A wonderful spot

Literally right on the water, this rental gives you the essentials with a great view and easy swimming. Use the included snorkel equipment to swim right up to large tuna, sharks, and dolphins at the aquarium. If you are looking for wild critters, the lagoon has tons of fish and a reef nearby. The kitchen is workable, but who wants to cook during vacation anways. The host was responsive and addressed a few concerns around the amenities promptly. Highly recommended!

Lagoon Paradise

Wow what a beautiful property and the location is absolutely perfect! Walk out you patio door to the most amazing Lagoon you have seen. Chrystal clear, serenity! Swimming and snorkelling was incredible. Then 30 steps away hit Mambo Beach where you can dine and dance the night away! Truly a Gem location! The apartment was very comfortable. The bed luxurious and the kitchen had everything we needed for our 9 day stay! Jo was exceptional and guiding us to all of the best things to do on the island! Very helpful at the tap of a finger. Thank you Jo for a lovely vacation! The hubby and I will be returning to this magical place! Tracy and Dave

Magical Location

The amenities available at this property are perfect. The unit has direct access to the lagoon which is teeming with tropical sea life. We loved diving off the dock for a swim or snorkel. You will need to be physically fit enough to climb up the ladder to return to the dock. There are dock lights that illuminate the rocks below, great for watching the nighttime sea life. The outdoor space is in 3 levels which we enjoyed throughout the day. There is a gorgeous pool area and a private beach for guests of the resort. The pool area is a 30 second walk from the unit and has restrooms/changing area and an outdoor shower. The landscaping is lush. Wish I could grow a Bismarck Palm tree like those at the pool area in Maine! The aquarium is just across the lagoon and holds dolphin shows each day. It was so neat to hear their calls and see their jumps and tricks. We made reservations for the swim with dolphins experience, which was worth the cost. The property is connected to the Mambo Beach area with restaurants and bars steps away. Although the unit has a fully equipped kitchen it was great to have the option to go out for drinks and dinner when we chose to. The bedroom is quite and the AC unit aided in a great sleeping environment. The bathroom is newly renovated - we loved the walk in shower. Jo was quick to answer questions throughout the rental process. I look forward to returning again soon.

Beautiful & relaxing, no fuss stay

Property was as promised Clean, close to beach, shopping, many restaurants and dive shop. Dock & swim area are great for swimming & snorkeling around to see some cool fish and even some coral a little further out. Property host was wonderfully accommodating and helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend this property.

This is what paradise looks like!

I don't think there's a better location in all of Curaçao. To get up every day and open the back doors wide and see that beautiful turquoise lagoon is amazing. You can snorkel right off your back deck (snorkel gear provided.) There is a lovely pool, but for the first time ever, we didn't use it. With the lagoon and the beach right there, we didn't need it. The beach is just on the other side of a couple of other units. You can watch the dolphins jump in the Seaquarium, but it was completely peaceful. No noise except for the dolphins slapping the water with their fins occasionally and the waves breaking on the rocks. The location is very convenient to Punda, Willemstad, Jan Thiel, and more. Jo is great to work with. She met us at the unit upon arrival and explained everything and gave us lots of information. We stayed under the electricity allotment because you really only need AC in the bedroom at night. I was amazed at how cool the trade winds are. I can't recommend this location more highly. Dushi!

Best Rest & Relaxation Spot

From the moment I walked in the door and out onto the deck I knew I was going to have the best week ever. The picturesque view left me speechless. I spent most of the week relaxing on the deck getting some vitamin D and enjoying the sound of the water.

Amazing

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Basically your own private lagoon right off the deck. Right beside Mambo beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Just a few minutes drive to downtown Willemstad. Property manager was very helpful at check in. Also this is right beside the sea aquarium - swimming with the dolphins is a must-do!

Great location

We loved being right on the lagoon. We spent free time watching the dolphins from the sea aquarium across the lagoon. We also enjoyed regular visits from iguanas, blue tail whips, and Trupials. Very convenient (2 minute walk) to the restaurants and shops of Mambo Boulevard. Short drive (12 minutes) to downtown Willemstad and all the interesting sites there.
