Silver Heron House – PEI Country Escape with Pool & Water Views

Welcome to Silver Heron House, a PEI Vacation Rental with stunning views of Charlottetown Harbour and the North River from Silver Heron House. A charming 3-bedroom executive cottage with a heated pool and air conditioned bedrooms. Just minutes from Charlottetown’s vibrant shops, galleries, golf courses, restaurants, theaters (including Anne of Green Gables), live music, and historic sites.

Located on a private 9-acre estate with riverfront shoreline, our home is 30 minutes from the white sand beaches and trails of the North Shore National Park. Nearby are several world-class golf courses.

Perched on York Point Cove, this peaceful retreat is ideal for families and couples. Enjoy a river-view swimming pool, deck for BBQs, and private cove beach access just a 3-minute walk away. Beachcomb, birdwatch (look for Great Blue Herons, blue jays, and hummingbirds), or relax and take in the natural beauty.

The two-story family friendly home features expansive gardens and is accessed via a private, tree-lined lane. Inside, you'll find:

3 air-conditioned bedrooms for your comfort during warm PEI summers (2 bedrooms on the main floor, 1 large upstairs master suite with a private bathroom)

Silver Heron House is very comfortable and we loved our stay there. The kitchen is well-equipped, everything is clean, we loved the sauna and all is just as described. Our dogs also really enjoyed the spacious grounds and walkway to the beach. We will be returning!

The Silver Fox house was charming and the location was perfect for exploring PEI. It was nice to tour the island and then come back to the house for a swim in the pool and dinner under the grape vine “tent”! Our hosts were always available to answer all questions and help if we needed anything. The description of the house and its amenities was very accurate. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

Great location

Great location to do day trips in pei. Lovely grounds, and we used the pool most days after doing some sightseeing. Nice deck area with picnic table covered with a grapevine arbour. Had great seafood dinners outside! Will come back again!Only issue we had is the two downstairs bedrooms were advertised as queen size beds, and they turned out to be only doubles. Was okay for our single daughter, but my older daughter and fiancée were looking forward to a queen size bed.Great stay by the 5 of us.

Amazing and cozy!

This fun and funky house feels like the kind of house you should stay in if you travel to Prince Edward Island. Comfy beds, a pool, a sauna, cool antiques and beautiful art. What more could you ask for?! Highly recommend. We asked to build a fire one night and they brought over all that we would need. So kind. Have fun!

My husband and I and our dog had the best time. We loved the house and the location. We had the beach ,lawn, and pool all to ourselves. The pool was so wonderful and the house was lovely. What a lovely experience we had on PEI

Silver Heron House

We stayed at Silver Heron House for a week in August 2024. We completely enjoyed our vacation. Silver Heron House is definitely a gem of a property. We felt totally private and yet close to anything we might need. The house and private pool were outstanding. The amenities and presentation were like an upscale hotel. The host and proiperty manager (Carolyn and Cory) took excellent care of us, and although they weren't needed during our week, we felt very secure knowing they were readily available for anything we may have needed. One small detail we personally appreciated was the extensive collection of original local art adorning the walls throughout the house. We would definitely return. Thanks Carolyn and Cynthia!

Fantastic cottage near Cornwall

Stayed for one week with my wife, two friends, and a small dog. Perfect for a group this size as the larger bedroom is upstairs which allows for some separation/privacy. Beautiful patio with a shaded pergola that overlooks the pool, which was also a treat on a hot day. The cottage provided some pool noodles, lots of towels, and there's a "pool roomba" that helps clean it up day to day that's easy to use. Kitchen was pretty well stocked - we rarely needed something they didn't have but as with all rentals if you have a specific thing/need you should ask. As some previous reviews mentioned negatives I thought I'd address some - 1) Bugs/mosquitoes: Yes, at various times of day the lawn has mosquitoes but it's a cottage, I'm not sure what people expect? Once we applied bug spray we had zero issues. 2) TV/Netflix: There is cable TV but you can't log in to netflix/prime. Again, you're renting a cottage so go for a walk, play a board game, or read, BUT if you have kids and "need" this I'd suggest bringing your own iPad (wifi was great). 3) Heat: Someone previously complained it was hot and we arrived on a seriously hot/humid day but were totally fine with the windows all open and fans on. Plus there is a pool! It typically cooled off in evenings, even on hot days. To be clear - none of these were our issues, just things I read in previous reviews that I thought others could benefit from another perspective. We loved the place and will almost certainly rebook! Thank you!

Beautiful spot surrounded by nature

The secluded property offers privacy and quiet so the sights and sounds of nature can be enjoyed all day. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and well cared for. My stay was a perfect getaway to relax, swim, and enjoy nature (including at least ten species of birds). The heated pool was lovely!

Perfection!

The Silver Heron house was a perfect place to stay for our week exploring beautiful PEI. The house was clean, welcoming, comfortable and well appointed. The pool was great as we seemed to pick the hottest week of the summer to visit! We were sad to leave this beautiful home.

Loved the location and the house and the yard and little beach area on the river/cove. I do think somewhere in the listing it says AC but I don't think there is AC? It was not an issue for us but it is a little confusing. Teenagers/young adults in family loved the property as well. Peaceful and relaxing spot!

Perfect Peaceful Vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Silver Heron House. The house is located close to Charlottetown with just a short drive but is peaceful and quiet. We loved sitting outside under the pergola and swimming in the pool after a busy day of sightseeing.

A Solid Five Stars

We had a wonderful week at the Silver Heron House. We loved the unique style of the house, the size of the property and the privacy it offered. We brought our two dogs and I think they enjoyed the vacation as much as we did. The location is very rural yet close to everything we needed. We plan to go back in the future.

Silver Heron Stay

The location was perfect for the itinerary we had. The pool was a bonus for our end of day. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted. The grounds were lovely and secluded.

Perfect oasis with charming backyard

We (5 adults and a dog), loved the silver heron. The kitchen was well equipped. We bought local seafood, fish and PEI potatoes and our chefs prepared two incredible dinners. The pool was perfect. We didn’t want to leave!

Cornwall Cottage

Comfortable and conveniently situated close to amenities. Beautiful shore line with lots of birds to watch. We enjoyed the pool and sauna! Grounds are well-kept, and very private. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Thank you!

Great PEI stay

This was a great spot - very homey and comfortable. We enjoyed exploring PEI and then coming home to all enjoy a movie or play a board game. The pool was great too and the yard is beautiful with access to the ocean which we didn’t realize.

Paradise in PEI

This property had all it promised and more. The grounds are beautiful. The walk down to the beach with the view across the water to Charlottetown was wonderful. The cottage is comfortable and homey. The beds were very comfortable. We were supplied with plenty of towels for the refreshing pool. The gorgeous pergola provided shade and a true relaxing atmosphere We all loved it!
