This place was fantastic. Just a couple blocks from a few bars/restaurants. Very short drive to the downtown area. Would stay here again!

Weekend Stay

This is a great little bungalow in a perfect area for quiet, but near to a ton of great bars and restaurants. It really highlights the beauty of Austin. I will definitely stay here again.

Motorcycle Trip

Off to Austin for a long weekend

We really enjoyed the little cottage. Brent is a very atrentive host and was quick to respond to our questions. The house is adorable and comes well stocked, especially if you live a good cup of freah brewed coffee. The house was clean and had everything we needed except a flyswatter, but we left ours! Y'all enjoy!

Weekend stay

Check in process was frustrating. I had to call VRBO to receive check information from host. The actual stay was peaceful. I do recommend getting some cushions for the rocking chairs for comfort.

That said, I did confirm that the pre-stay information does have the address on it with all details. - Additionally, I want to clarify that I send all house check-in information in an email to guests 48 hours in advance. I apologize if you didn't receive this email. - The rocking chairs are standard wooden chairs for porch relaxation. While I appreciate your suggestion for cushions, these chairs have had no prior complaints. Thank you for choosing to stay at the cabin. If you have any more feedback or questions, please feel free to reach out."

I absolutely loved my stay at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy getaway. The atmosphere truly gives off the charm of a secluded cabin in the woods, while still offering the convenience of being close to everything in the city. The space was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had a warm, inviting feel that made it easy to relax and feel right at home.The host was incredibly friendly, communicative, and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. They were quick to respond to any questions and clearly put a lot of care into making sure guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Overall, this is a charming and well-maintained property that I would happily stay at again whenever I’m in the area. A truly delightful experience!

Great stay in a great location with a great host.

We recently stayed at this charming property in Austin, and it was a fantastic experience! The property itself is incredibly cute and located in a wonderful neighborhood. It's ideally situated close to downtown, making it a convenient walk or just a few minutes' drive away. The area felt very safe and clean, which was reassuring.One of the absolute highlights was being just a short walk from the food truck plaza, known for the best breakfast tacos in the city. People drive from all over just to enjoy the coffee and breakfast tacos here. It's an amazing amenity to have nearby!The cabin had everything we needed for our stay, and the host was outstanding in providing neighborhood insights and quick responses to any queries. Overall, it was a great stay in a great location with a great host. We will definitely be back!

Good location

We loved staying at the bungalow. It's definitely small, but we knew that going in since it's a studio. It was nice to have a full kitchen and be able to cook when we wanted to. The bed was really comfortable. There was a nice area with food trucks and coffe a few blocks away that we could walk to, and trails a few blocks away that we could walk around. This neighborhood is a mix of brand new houses, refurbished houses, and older houses needing some love, but it is obvious the neighborhood is a great one. Close drive to downtown and lots of things to do. Would definitely stay here if we return to Austin.

Cabinish bungalow

Was ok. Great location, good communication, everything functioned well and has everything you need. Interior is old, feels a bit dingy in a cabin sort of way. Not gross though. There is a bunch of large tree limbs in the back of the yard that fell on the fence and a curious dog could get out around one side , ours is not too adventurous so we didn't have to worry about it. Yard was overgrown, but not inaccessibly so.

Uncomfortable Stay

The property is not as represented. We rented this home because of the yard for our two small dogs. However, the yard, both front and back is ridiculously overgrown and not suitable for dogs at all. Also, the home reeks of pet urine and the a/c has black mold on the directional blades.

I must say the place was clean but the pictures of the house, inside and out did not reflect the property. The inside was dark and the outside was scary. Aside from the lawn not being mowed, the siding (metal) on exterior looked scary. To top it off, we had two people come to the house to ask if it was being rented because they saw it on Craigslist. If I am going to pay that much money for a place that looks like this, at least I can have some privacy.

Room for improvement

There was no extra bedding in the wardrobes (or anywhere) in the rental which meant the sofa pullout wasn't usable. The microwave ran for 10 seconds and then stopped with error messages. The bathroom wasn't clean and had hair from a previous occupant on the walls and floors. Barking dog next door was ongoing day and night. An email to the manager went unanswered. Earlier in the week, he did respond to allow my to check in early. Pretty seedy neighborhood.

There is additional bedding in the wardrobe and we verified the microwave is working properly, we apologize if this inconvenienced your stay. Not as expected

We stayed at the bungalow for a weekend with our dog. We chose this place because of the fenced off backyard for our dog. It is not fenced off as a tree fell and broke the back fence. It didn’t look very new so we would have appreciated a heads up as we paid for an extra pet fee. There is a very strong smell in the bungalow similar to urine. I think it’s most likely a humidity issue as there are some humidity devices in the bungalow. Again it would have been great to know that before we booked it. The host described it as “stuffy” so they definitely know that’s an issue. They offered to spray some febreeze and others to mask the smell- not really a solution! Overall the bungalow ins’t bad but it looks better on pictures than what it really is. I don’t think we would stay here again for the reasons mentioned above.

Hi Victoria, we appreciate you sharing your feedback with us, and after reviewing your comments, the homeowner wanted to clarify the following: - The fence is intact, there is a small opening that is filled and blocked by a tree, and a dog can't get out of the fenced backyard area. - Summers in Texas are humid and if the A/C unit is left off it may get "stuffy." Leaving the A/C with its humidity control measure helps circulate the air keeping it comfortable and fresh. - The bungalow is professionally cleaned after each guest, and there are no carpets, only wood floors. There is not a urine smell present. We strive to provide every guest with a comfortable, safe environment to get away to and relax.

A Gem in Austin

We stayed in this cozy urban cabin for 4 days. It is located in a great area yet feels remote from the busy city fun. We walked to coffee and all around the beautiful neighborhood. This home has all the amenities you need including a full washer/dryer and kitchen. The open floor plan gives ample space for guests to feel “at home”. The front porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. It’s also the perfect spot for photos with the beautiful color contrast and metal and wood. The host is very helpful and can be easily reached. We just had a couple of questions for him and he responded right away. We will definitely be back to Austin and will reserve this home!
