Great home and location

First time staying around the south east part of Lake Wallenpaupack and glad we did. The drive to and from local spots was easy with great views of the lake. The home is cozy and Jennifer was great communicating with! Would highly recommend!

This was our second time staying at this house which we love. Jennifer is amazing, she answers any questions you may have. This is a very charming home roomy and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Family vacation

Had a very enjoyable vacation. Some issues regarding listing and what was available. House was clean overall, screened in porch could have been a bit cleaner however we do realize that is outdoor.

From the owners: "Teresa, we are sorry that there was no availability to dock your boat, as marinas were booked. This has never happened. We have been vacationing at the lake since 1982. For convenience, we partnered with a home owner on the lake. She no longer owns that property. We submitted a removal of the dock last year. It was addressed. But during one of the updates something was overlooked. Our apologies for the inconvenience."

Beautifully located

The property was beautifully located, the woods were behind us and we saw/feed several deer daily, also the marina where we rented a boat was only 1/2 mile away. The only downside was is that the dishwasher was broken causing handwashing of the dishes, and after the 2nd day, there was a lot to wash with a family of four, which took time away from my vacation. The host was very responsive during our time at the property.

Pocono Paradise

Our family loved this home away from home in the beautiful Poconos. The layout of this house worked well for us. There are so many spaces to eat and spend time together. The well stocked kitchen was amazing-we made a few meals and had all of the pans and spices we needed. Finally Jennifer was a gem! We left something behind and she ensured it found it’s way back to us. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect weekend in the Poconos

Our families enjoyed meeting up in the Poconos for a perfect long weekend. We enjoyed the property and all the house amenities, especially the very well stocked kitchen. It had everything we needed and more! The convenient location made it easy to venture out to local eateries. We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Wallenpaupack for an afternoon. Jennifer was very attentive and checked in frequently. She went above and beyond to locate an item we left behind and send back to us! We would definitely stay here again!

Half and half

The location is lovely, quiet and wooded. I expected the property to be more updated. Old furniture, dusty with a lot of chuchkies. Not whole house air; 2 wall units in whole house. Beds were uncomfortable and bedding cheap. Primary complaint is that this is a private lake. One could not "walk to the lake from cottage." Public access was several miles away.

We’re sorry your stay fell short of expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: "Jean, thanks for staying with us! We are sorry that you experienced some issues during your stay. - We are sorry to hear that you were not able to get a spot at the Marina's. The spots fill up quickly and were apparently booked all the way up to January. Had we known they would fill up this quickly, we would have informed you. - While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences. We have never had complaints about the beds before however we will look into this. - The quilts for the bed are low costs because they get replaced every four-months. In this case, the bedding was just replaced in June. We're sorry they did not meet your standard an we will look into buying other bedding that is more comfortable for our future guests. - There is one public beach for big lake and promise land Beach, both are several miles away from us. We appreciate and take all feedback into condsideration, as we know there is always room for growth! Thank you!"

Stay in Greentown. PA near Lake Wallenpaupack

I can't say enough good things about this rental. First of all, the house was spotless. There were many personal touches that added to it. The owner thought of everything that we could possibly need. We had occasion to speak with her and she was very pleasant. The house is secluded but close to the lake, restaurants and shopping. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a getaway to the Lake Wallenpack area.

Family getaway

Wonderful family time. Easy and quick communication with host who was extremely accommodating! The house was as described and convenient to area attractions. I would have to say it is a bit challenging for outdoor use if you have young children. (We had a1 year old and 4 year old) There is a steep drop in the yard, but it is gated off. The interior could use a bit of updating and air conditioning was a bit underwhelming. Overall it was a very nice mini vacation!

House floor plan was great ! One Bedroom on main floor, screened in porch and everything you would need in the kitchen. Would definitely love to go here again.

Weekend Getaway

We stayed here for a final summer getaway before our kids go back to college. The house was cozy and perfect for fun family times. The screened porch was great and our dogs loved watching the many deer. Jennifer was a super responsive host and quick to respond to any questions. It was a great way to end the summer!

My Tranquil Getaway

Apt name for the property. Perfect for four adults-great screened porch was the hit of the week. Nice big deck with plenty of seating that backed up to the woods-very quiet and relaxing. Short drive to marina ( rented a pontoon boat) and east drive to public beach in lake. Everything you could need in the kitchen, plus a washer and dryer. And Jennifer couldn’t have been any more helpful or accommodating. Highly recommended.

A peaceful getaway with a great back deck less than half a mile from the lake. Enough space between neighbors houses where you don't feel on top of each other. Highly recommend.

Awesome House-Awesome Owne

We had a family of six (all adults) and a dog stay at the house. We were all very comfortable. The owner was super responsive to any questions we had. Loved the screened porch and outside deck. We had a long weekend of fishing, boating, hiking, golfing, zoo and Gray Towers Museum and Gardens. Great family getaway. Will definitely book again. 👍👍👍

Tranquil Getaway

We had a GREAT time at My Tranquil Getaway. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Jen, the owner was very available for any questions and she made sure we had all the info we needed to have fun! Her book of local places to go and eat was very helpful. Would definitely recommend her home to anyone.

Enjoyed our stay! House was Covid clean. Across the street was the lake. No lake view , but that was ok. Loved how my two English bulldogs could vacation with us. Close to the marinas where we could rent boats. It definitely was a tranquil getaway.

Tucked away getaway

This property definitely met our hopes of a remote getaway. It was still closed enough to marinas and shops but far enough that you felt like you were in the wilderness. Our group had a boat rental at the Pine Crest Marina so this was an easy distances to it. I would not fully recommend walking since the main road is bendy. The place was just spacious enough for the group especially with the different dining area options!

Pet friendly vacation

Tried something a little different this year with the family vacation - we brought the dog. Unplugged the cell phones, no TV, no newspapers, etc. The house was awesome - great deck and screened in porch. Close to Lake Wallenpaupack - a ton of fun things to do for the entire family.

Great stay

Great place to spend quality times with family and friends. Only thing could be improved the outside grill which was not that clean. The gas was not coming in a full flow. Otherwise nice place
