September and October bring beautiful fall foliage. By December local ski areas begin to open trails that continue until March. 20 minutes to Promised Land State Park, 10 minutes to Ceasar's Cove Haven. There are many antique shops to explore and the area offers everything that you could want in a relaxed lake atmosphere.
