The perfect location! Nestled in a secluded acre, yet an incredible five minute walk to the center of historic Wellfleet Village. And a ten minute walk to the town harbor, bay beach, fabulous playground, basketball and tennis courts, and skateboarding ramps. Shops, cafes and fine dining, galleries, and the Cape's best library are all in the village.

Our smoke-free home offers quiet and private seclusion; blackberry bushes, roses, and meadows surround the property; watch the birds and bunnies that feast here, too. The sheltered private back yard provides an extensive lawn ideal for children.

This artist's home boasts beautiful colors, new furnishings, all amenities and conveniences, an outdoor after-swim shower, and an enormous full length old fashioned screened-in porch (with lounge chairs and a large table with seating for ten).

Beautiful, clean property in great location!

We loved our stay at this property! It was clean and cozy, and we felt right at home! We enjoyed walking into town in the mornings for breakfast, and the screened in porch and yardwork at home base for when we weren’t at the beach.

Lovely house in Wellfleet

Perfectly comfortable house in a quiet but central village location. Our family of four enjoyed walking around town and to the nearby wharf and beach as well as venturing further afield. Great spot for a relaxing vacation.

Wonderful getaway!

Surrunded by woods, walking distance from shops and the harbor, bathrooms on 1st and 2nd floor, well-equipped kitchen, nicely furnished and decorated. It couldn't have been better!

Lovely leafy green get-away in Wellfleet

Beautiful, well-appointed, spacious home in a leafy green dell in the middle of Wellfleet. Exceptionally well-appointed kitchen, caring owners, extremely comfortable and inviting, wonderful porch overlooking lovely back yard, walkable everywhere. Highly recommended!

Stayed at this cozy and yes just the right amount of seclusion gem in beautiful Wellfleet ❤️ had the most perfect stay at this property! Beautiful grounds and amazing screened porch was my favorite part- our family was in town for the marriage of our daughter ~ it was home away from home!! ❤️ the owner was very accommodating and helpful! Thank you for a wonderful family stay~ we loved it

cozy and comfortable

Tucked into a hollow in Wellfleet this house is both convenient to all the town has to offer within walking distance and yet feels so private. It's fun to be surrounded by all the classic houses along the street. The house is very well laid out. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen, comfortable couches in the living room and the screened porch. Cozy and comfortable indeed!

Great Vacation

My sisters and I had a wonderful time at this sweet house! We loved the private lot and how beautifully it was landscaped, the many birds singing, and the wonderful view from the screened in porch where we spent so much time. The rooms were beautiful, simple but clean and comfortable beds. We are great fans of the art collection and wondering if the artist is the owner??? So many great pieces in each room. We will hopefully be back next year!!

Quaint old house with Cape Cod charm

We found everything we needed here in the way of dishes, bedding, games, non perishable food items, etc. Owner mailed us a house key a week before arriving. We were expected to leave the house clean and wash the sheets before leaving. A nice yard and plenty of privacy. Even some wild turkeys.

Clean and convenient with a great yard!

We were so pleased with this house for our Cape vacation. We stayed a week with four adults and two toddlers. The house was very clean and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped and the grill works beautifully. The back yard is has so much space for letting the little ones run around, laying in the hammock and playing yard games. The location is also perfect! It’s walking distance to town, Mac’s, the harbor and bay beaches. You’ll hardly find the need to drive on route 6 even getting to the ocean and ponds. This house has it all and we look forward to renting it again next year.

Beautiful Seclusion

This property was even nicer than the pictures! Clean, comfortable and sweet. We enjoyed a really lovely and relaxing stay. The yard and the screened-in porch were big highlights. We had 4 kids with us ages 2-12 and they were all really happy to find little toys and books and things stashed around the home. And the older ones LOVED the tree house. They played in the yard for hours. After the kids went to bed we stayed up with wine talking for hours on the screened in porch. The central AC was also crucial for our very muggy week on the cape! Great location, gorgeous property. We will definitely be back.

The.Best.Ever.

Never felt so sad to leave a vacation house and I’ve rented five different houses in Wellfleet over the past 18 years. Super clean lovely house right in town walk to all. Down a pretty gravel drive. Bird feeder with pretty birds! Bunny rabbits! Extremely comfortable beds. Excellent hot showers with strong water pressure. Nice wood floors thought out whole house. Bob accessible the entire time with answers to questions and recommendations. Will def plan to come back! Looking at next year or even off season. (I want to relocate to Wellfleet). Only wish list items are blackout shades for bedrooms (I’ll bring a mask next time 😴) and beach chair upgrade! Otherwise this vacay was heaven. thank you!

Great place to stay - amazing for families

We spent the weekend at Bob's place with our kids 1,4 and 8 plus 2 grandparents. It is simply an amazing place for enjoying time together all throughout the day. We had planned to do a bunch of excursions but ended up doing far fewer since we were enjoying the nice garden so much. We loved the ample common space for activities and eating together and the downstairs porch for basking in the sun and having the kids run around on the lawn. Everything was as advertised, nice and clean and with clear instructions on how to manage all the things in the house. We hope we can come back again in the future!

Peaceful

Our stay and experience in Wellfleet could not have been more pleasant. This home epitomizes what one would expect and hope for on Cape Cod; spacious, well appointed and private. We were literally a ten minute walk from Wellfleet's harbor, main shopping area, art galleries, shops and restaurants; yet this home is entirely secluded within a beautifully manicured, landscaped lawn and wooded area; a completely private, quiet and peaceful setting. The home is well appointed with up-to-date interior, beautiful screened-in porch and spacious rooms, including two good-sized bathrooms. Maybe most interesting was the beautiful art work which you must see for yourself. The owners were so pleasant to deal with; cordial and helpful. We are looking forward to a return visit to this beautiful home.

Walking distance to great seafood options. Swim in freshwater ponds. Grill and eat on the screen porch. Get naked outdoors in the commodious craftsman style outdoor shower. Pick your pleasure!

Wonderful experience

The property was great and our family enjoyed experiencing all that Wellfleet has to offer. The location, screened in porch, and backyard stood out. It was especially convenient that the kitchen was well stocked and linens were provided. The responses from the hosts were prompt and informative. Overall, I recommend this property.

We choose this house every year!

Ideal in every way. We bring 3 generations to the Cape every summer. We LOVE this house. Easy walk to town, library, restaurants, galleries. Park-like back yard. Wonderfully furnished and “stocked”. Supremely clean but comfortable. Our family saying is this is “our house” and B&F take care of it for us the other 51 weeks ;)

Comfortable residence in a private setting

My sister and I spent three nights here, reminiscing about vacations spent in Wellfleet as children. The house is lovely inside and out and convenient to village shops, restaurants and beaches. There's plenty of room for a larger family, a beautiful lawn out back and a secluded location. The owners have provided just about everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Best rental in Wellfleet

Drawn to the light, charm, and coastlines of the Outer Cape, and after vacationing with their children in Wellfleet and Truro for two decades, Bob Flack and Fran Forman found their perfect second home in 2003, an easy walk to village, harbor and beaches.

Bob is an architect specializing in affordable housing in the Boston area. Fran is an internationally exhibited fine artist, whose work is featured in, among other books, 'Contemporary Cape Cod Artists: People and Places'. Her monograph, 'Escape Artist: The Art of Fran Forman' was published in 2014.

Their children are now grown and live in different parts of the country, but Bob and Fran enjoy caring for their home and are particularly proud of the gardens they designed and planted, celebrating the many flora of the Outer Cape.
